Arbuckle Creek Retreat: A Serene Getaway for All Occasions
For many years, Arbuckle Creek Retreat has been the go-to location for family reunions, birthdays, holidays, and getaways, and with good reason! This cabin has played host to countless joyous and celebratory moments. One of the cabin's most cherished spots is the front porch, where guests can take in the breathtaking colors of the sunrise while sipping on a hot cup of coffee or tea. The view is simply indescribable, with the colors constantly changing until the sun rises above the distant ridge. Rain showers provide a dramatic display as they move across the valley, with the distant ridge clearing as the rain passes by the cabin. Witnessing nature's beauty is a truly unforgettable experience.
If the front porch gets too warm, the large screened back porch is an excellent alternative. With stunning views of acres of woods, it's the perfect spot to spend time with loved ones, share stories, take a nap on the daybed, or simply relax with a book. Although the cabin's interior is lovely, it's the porches and views that make this retreat a one-of-a-kind destination.
There was so much space and areas to gather inside the house, on the front porch, on the screen porch and by the fire pit. The house is beautiful and fully equipped. We did have problems with the WiFi but other than that, our stay was fantastic!
Eight brothers did several distilleries on the Bourbon Trail. This was the perfect place for eight men ages 50 to 77. It was secluded, quiet, with beautiful starry nights and plenty of room. We all had our own beds, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Two refrigerators accommodated all that beer we had to keep cold. The Weber gas grill did a fine job with our steaks one evening. The only real drawback was that the property advertised Wi-Fi, which it does not have, and only Verizon cell service seemed to work all the time. All in all, we loved our stay here and would come back if we need to visit this area again.
Property was very nice. Had everything we could have wanted and the views were awesome
Property was great, view was gorgeous! House was plenty big for our family. Recommendations - More attention to detail in cleaning is needed - ceiling fans were caked with dust which made them unusable. Floor was sticky and had not been mopped after the last guests checked out and before our arrival - apparently not enough time. Ovens need a good cleaning. Porches need to be swept and cleaned. I would recommend a full day in-between guests to allow for proper cleaning. Beds need to be upgraded. One of the downstairs and one of the upstairs mattress were spring mattresses and extremely uncomfortable - we called and a thin mattress topper was immediately provided and it helped. Some small maintenance items need attention. Mold is present in the upstairs bathroom area - vents and around the doors. This could be a health hazard. VRBO site says there is wifi - there is NOT. You can get good cell service but should know this ahead of time. Walls and floors are paper thin - you can hear everything that is being said between the first and second floors. There is NO privacy unless you go to the basement. The house has two working kitchens which worked great for us! Kitchen had basically everything we needed. We never ran out of hot water. AC worked great. Firepit was awesome and had plenty of wood. Plenty of room to run and play - just watch out for the electric fence. Sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise was great! I still recommend this place with hope for better clean
What a beautiful home! Great place to go and get away from it all. From the rolling hills, grazing cows, and the beauty of the kentucky land, we made many memories with our family at this retreat. Loads of fun..wish we had more time
Group of 12 guys enjoyed the stay. We based our Kentucky visit out of Arbuckle Creek . There was plenty of room, a fire pit, and awesome views from the porch morning to night!! It’s convenient to many of the distilleries and is not a bad drive into Louisville! A great value and we would certainly stay there again.
A group of 8 of us stayed at the Arbuckle Retreat and it was fabulous. The property is breathtaking and has the most beautiful sunrises in the morning. Very peaceful. This was the most well stocked property I have ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Family and friends, from all over the United States, came to celebrate with our daughter on her 50th birthday. We had family from California, Illinois, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and Florida. This was a wonderful place to meet, sort of in the middle, but not. Lol. The house was wonderful, very spacious, had everything you needed and the most spectacular view. Our daughter had a wonderful time as well as the rest of us. We also got to tour a couple of the distilleries in Bardstown and had lunch at a nice restaurant , where we enjoyed watching the Tennessee basketball game. Tennessee won. It made the family happy. This home, and location, is a wonderful place for family and friends to gather. Many wonderful memories made here. ❤️
My friends and I stayed here last fall and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay here again Instead of our usual trip to Pigeon Forge. It felt like we were far away instead of just a couple hours from home. The house is clean, spacious and supplied with everything you will need. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of towels. We enjoyed the fire pit.
Ten friends gathered at this wonderful rental for our yearly get together. Not only was the property beautiful inside and out, but it was equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be recommending this wonderful location to our friends and family.
This was our 2nd time here with friends. They house is awesome for a group of 6-10, plenty of comfortable beds, room to move, sit and relax. The kitchen is built for a large group too, nice for a morning breakfast or any meal. We will be back again
Our group of nurse co-workers had a wonderful weekend of laughs and relaxation in this beautiful home with beautiful views. The home was clean and well equipped with lots of space. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely have our next girl’s weekend here.
The house is well stocked. Lots of space to sit and visit. Enjoyed talking to the cows!
The views from this property are absolutely amazing! The house is big enough to accommodate 14 people with plenty of beds. We enjoyed our stay!
Upon arrival, everyone was very impressed with the cabin! It is very well kept, and there were PLENTY of amenities. We had no shortage of dishes, paper goods, soaps, etc. Everything felt very quaint, like we were visiting a grandparents' home. We experienced a few minor issues during our stay, but the property manager was quick to resolve them. Issues are not much of a problem for me as long as someone is willing to correct them, and they did an excellent job with that. One thing that was a little frustrating was that the Wifi was pretty spotty. My friends and I were there for a week with the primary intention of streaming an online convention and we wound up having to utilize our mobile hotspots much of the time, though they weren't incredibly reliable either, being so far out in the country. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the cabin and would definitely recommend it to others!
