Very Private Cabin on Upper Twin Lake...Great Views...Close to Trails!

We have stayed here 3 times, for the beauty, privacy and Cassidy is awesome to work with.

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was clean , cozy , quiet and peaceful ! Close to everything . And Cassidy was such a great host ! Highly recommend this property! We come up often and this was one of our all time favorite places! We will definitely be back ! It was perfect. Thank you Cassidy for all your help !!!

Nice place, and not too far from town.

The cabin was perfect as it was exactly what was advertised. The host was very prompt with communication.. however I found her a little snippy, and I found some of the communication in her white book a little sarcastic and unfriendly as well. Overall a great property.. just not the friendliest host

The cabin was very cozy. Wildlife was abundant and the fireplace made me place very warm on a cold day.

Wonderful cabin and quiet, beautiful area. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Quiet location and ski trails nearby

Loved this cabin- from coffee on the porch watching deer on the frozen lake to a crackling cozy fire at night. Cassidy’s place feels more like a family home than a rental and is thoughtfully decorated. Convenient location right across the street from the Birkie. Awesome getaway for my husband and I.

This was an amazing cabin for a little wekend get away. Everything was clean, and such cute cabin with everything you could need is there. Quiet and very beautiful setting.

This cabin is adorable and located in a private and peaceful spot on the lake. It is warm and cozy, especially if you are willing to do the work to keep the fire going. The fireplace was our favorite part since we stayed during the winter for snowmobiling. The view of the lake is wonderful. We would love to come back.

Everything was wonderful except having a space for 4 people there should be 4 bath towels but there were only 2. We ended up running to Walmart to get more. The space was great and our adult children went XC skiing and we shoveled a space on the lake and went skating. Very nice family Christmas!!

Perfect location and amenities with lakefront privacy. This stay had all of the things needed for a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay. Landings for Lake Chippewa, downtown and great dining options were all within a 20 minute drive. Ample firewood was provided, quick communication from the owner and all in all a perfect getaway. Highly recommend this property!

Excellent property to relax and enjoy the view and observe wildlife. We had beautiful fall weather. Our dog loved the quiet lot to roam freely. Perfect lake for paddling.

The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. The host left a lot of helpful info about shopping, dining, hiking, etc. The weather was not the best and we could not enjoy the lake, but the scenery is beautiful. The only issue we had was though it is pet friendly there are a lot of rules that were a little restrictive when it comes to pets.

We had a great stay at Mellow Marsh the week before Labor Day! The cabin was very clean and is well-equipped. The cabin is very comfortable and the view is fantastic. We got out and canoed and fished in the lake. We saw a bald eagle flying over the lake while we canoed and also saw him perched in a tree! The cabin is easy to get to, but well-secluded and private. At the same time, it is only fifteen minutes from Hayward that had everything we needed. Cassidy is a great host!

Gorgeous site with beautiful views from the cabin’s large front windows. Very comfortable cabin with all the amenities. The marshy area in front of the cabin by the dock had lots of wildlife including otters, mergansers, and loons. Although a bit more difficult, we had to load our kayak from the dock because of the deep mud near the shore made it impossible to step in the water. The kayaking was great on this beautiful quiet lake. Although advertised as a very private cabin on 3.5 acres, there is a rather large cabin quite close to the property which at times during our stay detracted from our privacy and the serenity.

By far the best cabin we’ve stayed in - very clean, necessities stocked, perfect view and access to the lake. Woke to the song of the loons, watched the eagles fish and the otters swim from the porch. Oh and the fishing wasn’t bad either! Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. A big thanks to hosts for sharing a little piece of paradise.

Nice property in a great location. Problem is there was no air conditioning and with the extensive heat at the beginning of our stay and the bad air quality due to the Canadian fires we were not able to enjoy the cabin as we would have liked. We ended up leaving one night early.

This northwoods cabin was nice. Check-in was super simple. The inside of the cabin was very tidy. The main reason we chose this cabin was for the enclosed porch with views of the lake. Downside, only two windows had screens which limited the lake breezes. Kayaking was good.

Great stay at this little gem! Very tidy and comfortable. Had a visit from a friendly doe each evening. Cabin well equipped with everything we needed. Bonsey (dog) loooved surveying his vacation kingdom from the little dock!!

What a beautiful cabin and property! Chris and I were in awe the moment we drove up to the property, went down to the dock and went inside the cabin! It looked exactly like their pictures, clean and spacious, just beautiful! There is plenty of room to spread out and we had a fire every night inside as cool the 2nd week of June! We ventured out in the canoe on the lake, going to the sandy beach island. The best fishing was just out from the cabin, my sis catching 2 - 5 lb. bass and by the island to the left of the cabin.A word of wisdom to those who want to go in the water by the dock, don’t!!! Lol! We had brought our kayaks, getting in off the dock. I tipped mine, ending up in the water and sunk in mud up to my thighs! It took a bit to get out, but I was laughing by the time I got out! When you get out by the swim raft and beyond, the water is clear and deep! We want to come back again already but need a full week next time! Thank you for sharing your piece of Northwoods heaven!

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property. We have spent over 25 years vacationing in northern MN and WI at resorts and this was our first rental of a private cabin. Beautifully maintained property inside and out. On a quiet marsh that takes you to the lake, so we saw an eagle, loons, ducks, geese, and heron along with all kinds of other wildlife. Clean cabin with a well equipped kitchen and dry wood for the fireplace (rare in our experience). Great to have space between our cabin and neighbors so quiet and private. Very responsive owner. Plan to return next year!

It would be difficult to find a cottage with a better lake view than this one. It's our second time here and we love it. Very comfortable in every respect.

Everything was very comfortable. It is BYOW(bring your own whisk) but thats it. Movie selection was great too

We have rented this cabin before and have always been very happy with everything about it. Plan to rent again in the future.

I and a friend had a lovely writers' retreat on this lakeside cabin with a beautiful view and a fireplace. The host responded quickly to our questions, and we felt as comfortable as if we were at home. A beautiful view from the porch and within easy driving distance from the Twin Cities.

We loved this property! It’s absolutely stunning! Everything was clean. The canoe was a blast to take out on the lake. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely book again!

We decided last minute to get away for a quick, midweek relaxation trip. We now wish we’d booked this cabin for a week! Check-in was a breeze, the cabin was spotless, and the western facing view of the lake was gorgeous at every hour of the day. The cabin is set back on a picturesque, tree-framed road with little to no traffic. We enjoyed morning walks with our coffee, and late nights around the campfire with our cocktails. (All firewood was provided!) We just can’t say enough great things about this place! Thanks for a great stay - we will definitely be back!

Very much enjoyed this house on upper twin lakes. Beautiful scenery, lake views and peace and quiet. The house was accurately described and all the pictures depicted what we saw and experienced. Communication was responsive and had no issues or unanswered questions regarding arrival. The beautiful weather, 80 in late September showcased the property,well but made for a tough Musky bite.
