Upscale Cabin w/ Beach Near Lake of Egypt

The purple door is now where we’ll be staying from now on when visiting southern Illinois. What a cute quiet place and such friendly and helpful owners. Has everything you need and then some.

Adorable place. Host is incredibly friendly and helpful without hovering. Perfect location for lots of Lake of Egypt attractions. Love the extra trundle bed for our furry friends. Looks rustic outside but very modern inside...we will be back!

Cabin is new and nicely decorated. They try to have everything there for you to make it easy. Allison was a pleasure to work with.

The purple door lux micro cabin was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. It had everything you want or need. It is spotlessly clean. The bed is super comfy. Bathroom has a nice size tub and shower. The decor is comfortable and chic. Our hosts were available to answer any questions or concerns but were never intrusive. We hope to visit again soon.

Everything was great. No complaints. Stocked with almost everything you could need. Very clean will definitely stay again.

This is a great find for our puppy! The cabin is open, clean, and comfortable. We had fun walking around the lake and playing fetch in the yard. The checkin/out instructions were clear. We look forward to staying again!

Very cute little cabin. It had everything we needed for our stay, and was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and quickly responsive. The outdoor area was very appealing, but due to lots of rain, we were unable to enjoy the nice porch and firepit area. I highly recommend. We definitely would love to come back.

Absolutely beautiful property. It was so cozy and inviting, with great scenery. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a spot to stay around this area. Check in was easy and the communications were great. The cabin was clean and super inviting as well

What a great property. Quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The cabin is perfect—homey and comfortable. We will be making a return visit and would encourage anyone to give this property a try (we’ve stayed at another of SIVRs properties and know that they are attentive to small details and problems of any size, regardless of which property you may choose). Oh, and let’s not forget about Kevin, who might be the sweetest dog we’ve ever met. He and our Weimaraner, Leo, had the biggest time all week. Kevin deserves a separate 5-star rating!

This was the perfect place for me to stay while visiting southern Illinois. The cabin is located in a private area, but it's just a quick drive to Marion, which allows for numerous food, drinks, and fun. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the cabin - it also provided all of the things needed to cook meals, etc. I'd recommend this property to anyone!

Very nice, clean cabin. Fantastic outdoor space, very nice deck overlooking pond. Centrally located between east and west ends of Shawnee National Forest. Very convenient for our extended weekend trip. We will certainly book again when we return to the area!

Felt good to get away from the craziness of Chicago and have no worries for a couple days.
