The cabin was just as shown in the pictures. The smart TV was a pleasant surprise. Kids had a lot of fun exploring the property.
This is our second stay at Sabala, we stayed there during spring break in 2020 when the world was shut down and had a blast as a family, so much so that our kids have been wanting to go back ever since and we finally did it and it was just as fun and relaxing although we did a lot more this time since the world wasn't shut down!
This was our second stay at this property. We love the coziness and solitude of the cabin. It's close enough to Bandon for its conveniences but still remote enough for privacy. We hope to return soon!
Perfect location for the remote quiet close to beach area we were after
Really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and serene . Only problem was keypad on front door took a while to work when we arrived and. When we returned from dinner last night. Its very touchy. House was very clean and organized.
Great spot to end your day after golfing done the street. The proximity to the golf course is amazing. Check the gates at the end of whiskey run to get into the complex or go through the main road just a couple minutes down the road. Beware the quirky light switch setup, but it's of no real consequence.
The cabin feel
Very cozy
Very cozy and comfortable cottage, we had a great time!
We spent two nights at this cabin. We had a lovely fire each night since it was pretty chilly at night. The beds were comfortable and having a washer and dryer was nice. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and there was no dish strainer supplied but we improvised and it worked out. A bit spendy for what was provided but it was a busy week-end for the area.
The cabin was located in a nice location. Noisy neighbor came over to monitor and check on things which was a little disturbing. Upon entering it has a smusty smell that even with my diffusers going it was still noticeable. I would recommend bringing your own bedding for the queen bed as it was not laundered before. Sheets had sand, dirt and spots all over them. So we were stuck washing before we could get to bed. Kitchen was stocked with basic pots and pans but not the greatest. Dishes were great. Tv was extremely small. Over all was a good time for my family as we spent most our time at the beach or in town.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sabala cabin. The cabin was peaceful and quiet and well stocked. It was great to be off the beaten path, but still be able to hear the ocean. The furniture was very comfortable. Overall it was a tremendous experience.
We had a blast, perfect location! Fun cabin feel!!!
The property was not to the standard of other VRBO/VACASA properties I’ve used in the past. It has some draw backs. When we arrived there was no wood for the fireplace. After a call, wood was delivered the next morning but when we went to build a fire that evening there were no matches or a lighter. Next, upon arrival there was no water to the kitchen. We finally figured out the water had been turned off under the sink. Also, one of two large burners on the stove was broken and unusable. Although checkout procedures required we wash the dishes, we were supplied with a three ounce bottle of dish soap, one dish towel and no dish drainer. The kitchen is also carpeted. The bathroom is large but the shower is the size of a postage stamp with barely enough room to turn around. The heat registers are something out of the forties or fifties and made me a little concerned for safety. Overall I believe the place has a lot of potential if some upgrades were made and some attention to detail and guest experience became a priority. Despite these issues we enjoyed our experience, due to location, overall coziness, and of course time with family. Sabala is a diamond in the rough.
Everything about this place made us feel welcome. Check in was super easy. The large yard was a great place for our dog to run around and it was nice there was a gate into the property to help keep him from running out into the road. Inside the house was cute and definitely had that cabin feel. I would have liked welcome instructions on how to work things. We had trouble with the wood burning stove so it would have been nice if there were instructions on how to use it. Same with the lighting in and outside the cabin. Other then that everything was great. Bonus was that it was just minutes away from Bandon Dunes golf course and access to the beach We can't wait to come back again.
We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was very cozy and decorated with Autumn touches for the fall season. We drove to the sand dunes just down the road and enjoyed a quiet and peaceful time in the sun on the isolated beach. It is conveniently located about 15 minutes from bandon and not far from the 101. Had it been colder we would have started a fire in the wood burning stove but the electric heaters kept it nice and toasty in the cabin.
This was one of the best stays we have had as a family. Plenty of space, room for kids to play, close to activities in town. Thank you again very much.
Loved the wooded location of this cabin! It was clean and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again!
Exceeded our expectations immediately upon arrival! Most importantly, our dogs were as at-ease and comfortable in the cabin and the surrounding property. Really a gem - close to golf, mountain biking, the beach, road biking, and paddle boarding. The Sabala cabin simply felt homey and welcoming, and very private with the surrounding forest. We look forward to coming back in the future!
As always, wonderful. Thank you
We had so much fun on this vacation, and this cabin was super cute and fun to stay in. It was clean, well stocked and the scenery was really pretty. We will definitely be staying here again!
The main heater wouldn't work. Emailed, texted, called to try and get some help and never got a response from anyone. Communication with this owner was horrible.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great little spot
The cabin was set back away from quiet road, with quite a bit of privacy. We could hear the ocean just a short distance away and were grateful for the close beach access of Whiskey Run. The cabin itself was comfortable, well stocked with all items necessary for a short stay and the out of doors were ready for exploration if the rain would have subsided. A washer and dryer was also available if needed
Lovely little cabin in beautiful setting.
