*Ultimate Pet-friendly Retreat! 4 Houses + Outdoor Seasonal Pool!*

When upon arriving we noticed it must have rained alot before we got there ...had a washout into the pool area...and grass was not cut..other then that we had a great time and love the place ..would love to rent in summer time .

Let me start by saying excellent management with communication and great location. Overall the cabins are great, but it needs some cleaning and maintenence so badly. The game room had a destroyed basketball, video game doesn’t work, and not 1 recliner works out of the 3 reclining couches (no recliners work in cabin either). I know the pool was not useable until Memorial Day, but hottub should have been- it was very dirty though. Potty out there turned off and firepit has a broken gas knob so no go there for the smores. Main house has a broken microwave. Floors haven't been mopped in a long time and the rugs were filthy unfortunately making the baby's knees black within a couple of hours- not good. Ignore the door codes and lock box codes- none work you'll want to email managent for something. Zero phone signal out there and wifi only works for main cabin so other cabins are out for any communication. Trash all around the property so I think they need to fire their cleaners. Overall though I love this property and was saddened that zero care is going into it, but the price is CHEAP. My advice- charge a little more and get this place the way it should be- and put wifi extenders into the lil cabins.

We loved that we could all eat together in the dining room! Lots of space for everyone to have their own bed, and the kitchen was well furnished for cooking. Looking forward to visiting again when the pool area is open.

Was a little difficult to spot but the address. Our gps told us to go over into a steep ravin. Darn those things. Your game room is awesome. My grandsons loved all of it. Beautiful and so roomy too. Thanks for sharing. Have yourself a great weekend and God bless. Charlotte

Host was very responsive. The place was overall homey and cozy. Kids had fun at the recreation/game room. Plenty of space for everyone. Just need a couple of updating/ maintenance, otherwise it was a great stay for us.

The amenities are not what are listed on the site. The wifi was horrible. There are multiple things that we took pictures of as far as broken wires and plugs on outlets to missing batteries in remote controls to blulbs missing in lights. We have picked and list of things we called about and text the host about.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The TV situation was a little crazy but we got by. The pool is pretty small for a property that houses up to 22 people but we still had A LOT of fun! Check-in was easy. You may want to let your guests know in advance that they should download check-in instructions/access code due to the spotty internet signal.

Exactly what our family needed! 7 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs - we had plenty of room to spread out and to gather. The setting is beautiful, very private but not far from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer. Abundant wildlife made it especially fun.

A little piece of paradise! Our family had a fantastic vacation at Pioneer Trail Retreat. I’ve been renting vacation homes through VRBO for 2 decades, and this is probably my family’s favorite place now (mine also)! It was super clean, with everything we needed. Nice and tucked away in a little hollow, it is an amazing location and property. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The pool and fire pit area was our favorite spot. We’ve already rebooked for next year’s vacation and cannot wait. Most highly recommended!

We had a group of three families that stayed for the baseball tournament. The set up and the location of this property was perfect! We had plenty of space for us and the kids and we all had a really great time. We would definitely come back!

The cabin is spacious. Very clean and relaxing. Enjoyed seeing the bears. We stayed as family vacation. Wish the pool was available. Will return.

Beautiful accommodations, off of main street so very quiet and secluded. Owner had issues with the on site Well, for the first day of check in we had no water upon arrival, but the property manager worked to resolve the issue and had us temporary water for the night and the well company returned the next day to install a more permanent fix. Game room under pool porch had a musty smell but other wise very nice location and lots of space pool was nice to come back to to relax and let the kids play.

I originally booked the house because of the pool but I wasn't informed that the pool would be closed. There was a needle and a bunch of cigarette butts

The amount of space to spread out here is amazing. We will likely be back with a larger group to enjoy it all again. Location is scenic and out of the way but so close to all the things. The dining space in the main house so we could all eat together was wonderful. Everything you need in the kitchen. Being completely honest we were here for spring break and there were some random things laying around the property and some broken door handles and flooring. Things that could be fixed with a quick walk through by the owner, and with the way this host was so responsive I’m sure will be fixed asap. It’s a one of a kind place to stay and kept us all together when we wanted to be with the option to separate when we needed to. Earned its 5 stars for sure!

The cabins were clean and ready to use. The host and the assistant were very responsive and helpful. They kept in contact pryer to our stay and during. I would recommend this place!!

Overall we did have a good time and nothing ended up being detrimental but we did run into several issues that could have been avoided to provide for a much better experience and a definite 5 star review. The pictures definetly made it look better than it was, particularly in the pool area. We had leaves in the bottom of the pool, leaf piles around the pool and broken chairs. Amongst other issues, several things had not been cleaned in a VERY long time and 3 of the 4 games in the game room were broken. Additionally there WAS a Wifi issue (as stated in the listing) but my dad spent 2 hours fixing it so now there is wifi in every house except the game room. Apparently we should have put it back the way it was because when I told the owner we had fixed it I did not received any thank you or acknowledgement for fixing his property. Unfortunately now a days WiFi is crucial especially when you have no cell service in the mountains so the fact that we fixed it so that all guests can utilize it, I would expect at least a big thank you or some kind of gesture of appreciation but I did not get it. Not to say anything negative about the host. He was extremely patient, kind, and helpful with all my questions. Overall I would stay there again (hopefully under better conditions) mostly because the road the house is located on comes out right at a traffic light so getting around was incredibly easy and convenient plus my dogs had a TON of room to roam

We took the whole family (20 of us) lots of room for us all and many things for us all to do. The “play room” was a hit for my 3 year old. The main house could fit pretty much all of us for dinner time. The area was great, so peaceful no traffic coming through. The pool and hot tub area was great. The only thing we can complain about is the cleanliness of the property, a lot of stuff outside could have been cleaned up better, like the landscaping. And we did go during hurricane so it flooded around the pool and into the game room. But overall we had a great stay! We want to come back again. Communication with the owners was super easy.

We had a great time at the cabins and we will definitely be back. It is a sprawling property with plenty of room. The owner was great to deal with. I sent several messages back and forth with random questions ahead of our trip and they always responded timely. I asked them if there was a Keurig machine and they said there is not but when we arrived there was a brand new one on the counter! Very nice. Driving up into the cabin the first time is not for the faint of heart. There a lot of hair pin curves. It was less scary after the first time. But I wouldn’t take a car that doesn’t have much pickup.
