We stayed at both the Stilt House and the Dome House. Very different spaces but both peaceful and private. The sauna experience is fabulous. We were fortunate to share the Gather dinner, our last night. Anne and Simon have created a unique place. Clearly so much thought has gone into every detail.

I loved how peaceful and quiet it was, the perfect escape of our busy lives. The accommodation provided all the necessities and it was incredibly clean. The Fernwood area is amazing for a morning and evening walk. Waking up in the morning with the view of nature couldn't be more perfect.

I stayed in the treehouse and it was perfect. It was very tranquil and beautifully designed. The grounds were also stunning. I loved the sauna and its settting.

Staying in the dome felt like I was back in east Africa. I loved waking up and starting the fire and looking out into the trees while sipping my coffee. Simon & Anne have created a truly magical oasis (especially the sauna overlooking the lake) that will have you feeling recharged and reset. They also helped me out of a ditch I drove into for which I am forever grateful!

The facilities were excellent, top quality. The relaxing environment of the dome and the surrounding area. The ability to just switch off. It lashed down when we were there and it was fabulous, cosy in the dome with the log burner going. Walks around the forest were well mapped out. It was a lovey stay away to reset.

As beautiful as the dome treehouse was inside, the view looking out was even more wonderful. Felt like you were staying in a nest. I loved the attention to detail with high quality products. We used the sauna and went for a walk which were both incredible. Have already recommend to friends, family and colleagues!

Our favourite place in Ireland to stay so it was only fitting we got engaged there this time around. We will be back as soon as we can.

I surprised my wife with a night away and she said it topped it as one of nicest accommodation and location we have been to . Beautiful location simple very comfortable and cosy.

The view out over the forest from the dome is amazing. Many thoughtful touches included in the accommodation e.g. a really good speaker, plenty of logs for the fire, different lighting options. Great bathroom with a huge shower. The sauna and cold dip were also fantastic with an amazing view over the lake. The only thing we would add is more lighting around the cold dip for the winter months (we were there 5-6pm) Overall an incredible weekend!

The Dome was so impeccably perfect--clean, cozy, comfortable and far more luxurious and well-equipped than I even expected! Communication was clear and helpful and the space itself is sublime. Every detail has been tended to--from the stacks of books, lighting, stocked kitchen, wood stove and ample fire wood and kindling, comfy bed, hot water bottles, linens and rain shower, outdoor patio--I honestly can't recommend Fernwood enough!

Beautiful walking trails, an amazing stove with a plentiful supply of logs and a fab setup and view.

Just a great place to unwind, with everything you'd need located 1km away in Clifden. The sort of place that welly has to be seen in person as pictures cannot do it justice

Peaceful, joyful, lovingly cared for; it was simply a delight. Walking through the woods to access the dome was charming. Stone paths weaving throughout the trees brings you to a lovely lake and rope bridge to cross the rushing stream. The accommodations were well thought out; we wanted for nothing during our stay. We enjoyed the short walk up the lane to town for dinner. It was delightful to be that close to the village yet so far from everyone. We loved every minute of our 3 night stay.

We booked to stay in the Treehouse at Fernwood straight after our wedding and it couldn’t have been anymore perfect. A truly unique and wonderful experience, just what we needed! Couldn’t recommend it more!

I loved how secluded yet close to the small town it was. It was great to get snack and groceries while being 5 mins away and feeling like you are so far from society. I also loved how there was no interaction with anyone. You simple went to your house/dome and that was it.

The forest dome was incredible. Surrounded by nature. It was the most relaxing experience.

The setting in nature was absolutely beautiful, every small attention to detail in the dome just makes it the most tranquil and beautiful place I have ever been. Anne and Simon are also just so accommodating and care so much for the farm and their guests

Unit very good equipped for self catering. Secluded and great views all around. Wood burning stove was great for winter stay! Bed was extremely comfortable! Amazing relaxing atmosphere and loved it

The Dome is just a wonderful space, great design and so cosy with the fire blazing day and night. We particularly appreciate the generosity of the logs, the wonderful collection of books and magazines and the view and birdsong.

The Dome felt absolutely magical, and was the epitome of cozy! We adored having a wood stove to create the warm inviting atmosphere, and being able to look out at the forest as the sun was rising. Everything about the location felt elevated and also practical. I wish I had booked more time there.

Wonderful setting in the middle of the woods, yet so close to terrific hiking, sites, and Clifden with its delicious restaurants and interesting shopping. Fernwood has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and feel luxurious.

I highly recommend! It was one of the best places I've ever stayed it and it was exactly what we needed to escape and recharge. Such beautiful grounds, the dome tree had everything we needed and the sauna was incredible!

We stayed in the treehouse dome and had the most gorgeous time. Fernwood's attention to detail is incredible, from the sauna and cold plunge to the wood burning stove and interiors of the dome, everything has been built with such care and love. I haven't felt so relaxed and calm in a space in a very long and the surrounding area, lake, climbing tree and walking paths will restore you with its tranquility and beautiful scenery.

The decor was gorgeous, the fire was cozy, the bed was so comfortable, the walks so nice. We loved the sauna and plunge pool and even took a swim in the lake! We had a warm welcome but were not disturbed for the weekend. I would highly recommend the stay.

I think we loved every aspect of our stay at Fernwood Dome! Even down to the lighting on the pathways in the dark. The dome was super clean and comfortable. We had the stove on most of the time we were there. We cooked breakfast and stayed snuggled up while the rain hit on Saturday. The sauna and cold plunge pools were such a lovely addition to our stay. We didn't even mind not having any blinds on the windows - Waking up within the trees was so peaceful. Wonderful location as well!
