Treehouse at Fernstone - Whimsical Woodland Retreat

Overall a good 2 night stay, nothing that kept the wife and I from enjoying out time. The tree house was nice inside, and very clean but there were a few items of note on the outside and around the treehouse. The outdoor deck and stairs needs some maintenance, looked like there had been some attempts at repairs but I was a little disappointed in the overall condition. The hot tub was very nice, and clean, but the cover was in was very hard to remove and replace. Needs one of the cover hinge things. Almost lost it under the railing a couple of times when trying to put it back on the hot tub. The last thing, there was a decent pile of garbage in the woods down by the creek. Plastic bottles, used tires, beer cans. The garbage looked weathered like it had been there for some time and we were probably only able to see it because it was early spring and nothing was growing yet but for a resort type place that isn't cheep I was expecting better. The surrounding area is great, Ohio Pyle is only about 15min away. Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling water is about 20min away. Fort necessity is also within 15min drive. Very nice relaxing area for a long weekend getaway.

Such a nice tucked-away treehouse cabin! We enjoyed the view of the trees pitside the windows and the wraparound deck. We'll definitely stay again next year. (The only complaint would be on our last day, there was no water and we couldn't shower, etc. )

The property is even better than in the photos! We had the entire grounds to ourselves, so we did a little exploring, which is how we found the small creek. Check in was easy, and everything was ready for us when we got there.

Overall, a great place to stay to get away from the city. Within 20 minutes of hiking, kayaking, and dining, but tucked away enough to not be bothered. It's part of a larger retreat property, so if this place is booked, it's worth checking their other lodging options. Some minor things that could be improved, but it didn't make the stay unenjoyable. The sliding door was a little tricky when opening - didn't always slide super easy. It is a little smaller than we were expecting, but it is a tree house, so we weren't upset with the size and didn't expect much bigger. Thanks for a wonderful weekend, tree house!

The little treehouse is a sweet stay for a couple. We stayed one night while we visited Ohiopyle for hiking and biking. The hot tub was a wonderful way to end the evening.

Really wonderful getaway - so relaxing! I would strongly recommend including a map to help in finding the treehouse for check in. There are multiple entrances for the overall “resort” and we drove around searching for close to an hour. Once we called and the weekend on call service hadanagent reach out via text, they helped us find it quickly. But a map or even some detailed instructions when the code for the lock is sent would be very helpful! Otherwise we absolutely loved it and have been recommending it to everyone!

One of the best stays ever.

The property was clean and well equipped! Nicely secluded but easy to access.The only complaint we have out of the whole experience was the plumbing system having almost no water pressure on the morning of our checkout.

Called number that was listed because we were having a hard time finding the place and the person who answered said he have someone call us back but no one ever did but we eventually found it on our own. Then when we arrived at our place a couple was getting ready to use the hot tub but left right away saying they were in the wrong place???But we did enjoy our stay and it was very clean

Exactly what I was looking for as a weekend get away. One major downside was the water pressure in the shower. After a long day of hikes, I could have gotten better pressure in the rain. Other than that it’s not far off the main road. Beautiful view, definitely would be best in the fall with all the trees.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away at Fernstone Treehouse! This treehouse is cute and cozy; small but perfect for two people. It was very clean and and communication with property manager was very easy. It was just rustic enough, but also had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

Romantic tree house in the woods. The treehouse and hot tub were ready to go when we arrived in during a snowy winter evening. Would recommend and stay again.

We stayed while it was snowing and you would definitely need four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive to get back to the place. We booked the treehouse, but the pipes froze and they had to move us over to the hobbit house.. definitely looks great and the heat worked. The Jacuzzi was nice.. It’s a little odd that there’s really not a door lock and the Internet is pretty much nonexistent.. but overall it’s definitely a cool place to try out

Perfect weekend for our 1 year anniversary at the perfect place. Everyone was so friendly and the treehouse was clean and had everything we needed. Issue with the water on the second day but was promptly looked and maintenance was very professional and quick to find solutions to the issue. Highly recommend The area and this rental and company

Wonderful property very private and me and my partner felt free to do whatever we wanted to do. We had a very romantic and enjoyable weekend. If there is a negative note, we were not impressed with the food at the Stonehouse.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! First time going this route (not a hotel) and what a great experience! Check in was easy, room stocked with what we needed. Very cozy. One evening while in the hot tub, we had a deer come down and we could see it through the trees munching away! That was right up my husband’s alley !We did have an issue with trying to get sound on the TV the last night we stayed. Never got it to come on, lol. We recommend this property and hope to get back

Hard to figure out coded key box. Not enough kitchen utensils, no soap dishes, bathroom door handle/lock installed incorrectly and dangerous, additional lighting needed.

Privacy and seclusion was sublime

Loved the treehouse & although it was small, just my husband & I enjoyed the seclusion & hot tub. Only comments would be it was warm in the house so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable & the kitchenette was pretty sparce with accommodations. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would book it again
