Other Features and Notes:
• Hassle-Free Departure: No cleaning required. You can leave the keys and go; we will handle the rest.
• Backup Power: Power outages, while not common, occur somewhat more frequently in the Ashford area due to the heavily-forested nature of the area. MossHenge has a backup generator connected to the cabin’s wiring to keep the essentials running (lights, refrigeration, hot water, e.g.) when needed.
• Internet & Entertainment: MossHenge has reliable and speedy WiFi (not as fast as you may be used to at home, but the fastest available in the area and sufficient for streaming and video calls). The basement features a large wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV, an Xbox (with several games) that doubles as a bluetooth DVD player, and even a combination DVD / VCR player if you have some old favorites you’d like to bring and watch.
• Cell Coverage: MossHenge has strong and reliable cell coverage for most providers, including Verizon.
• Security & Privacy: MossHenge has a security camera for your safety and the security of the cabin, but the camera faces the approach to the cabin in order to ensure your privacy in the cabin’s indoor and outdoor living areas.
• Early and Late Departures Available: We want to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, and schedule-permitting we are happy to accommodate early arrival or late departure requests at no additional cost (confirmed 72 hours prior to arrival or departure, to ensure readiness for other guests).
• Welcome Basket: Enjoy a carefully curated selection of snacks, treats, and supplies during your stay; our thank-you gift for being our guest at MossHenge.
• Kid Friendly: MossHenge has a high chair and pack-n-play available for your little one, as well as a basket full of toys and games for your mini-mountaineer (upon request, these amenities will be available during your stay, so please advise if they will be needed). The deck is also equipped with a baby gate at the top of the stairs leading down to the hot tub deck.

Beautiful cabin! I loved the proximity to everything; it’s in a perfect location. Very private compared to the other cabins around the area. And it’s a very short drive to the Rainier park entrance. I love the little town down the road too. I was hoping for snow for my birthday/thanksgiving but we got beautiful clear blue skies instead which was great to see the mountain. The hot tub was nice after a long day out exploring. I liked the safety aspect of the stairs having pull out gates. The hosts were very thoughtful and communicative! They left a little goody basket upon checking in and even check in on us the next day to make sure everything went smoothly. I also love that they were able to provide a crib and highchair for my baby.Everything is very well stocked, which was amazing. I had an amazing time here and would definitely recommend! I would book here again.

If you’re looking to book this stay for your family, or a quick getaway from the city life this is the perfect stay. The check in process is extremely smooth and the house itself is beautiful, the wood stove was a huge selling point for us as well as the outside hot tub. We enjoyed every bit of the stay and this cozy home away from home. They provided so many amenities whether you’re there with your kids or just on an adult getaway. There are many board games as well as a gaming console downstairs to keep the kids busy. The kitchen is stocked to the absolute brim which was amazing so you do not need to bring any utensils from your own kitchen. The fridge space is extremely spacious seeing that you have multiple fridges in different locations (e.g. garage, downstairs laundry room, kitchen). The hosts were easy to reach and the location of this place was just perfect being further away from others but close enough to restaurants and other outings that it’s ideal. We would definitely recommend this stay for anyone.Thank you to MossHenge for giving us a perfect stay for our 10 year anniversary.

We had such a lovely stay at this cabin! It’s in a beautiful, peaceful spot close to Mt. Rainier and a couple of nice local places to eat — perfect for a relaxing escape. The beds were super comfortable, and the hot tub was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. One thing to be aware of: the hill up to the cabin is steep. Our front-wheel drive car couldn’t make it all the way up, so we parked by the garage about halfway up the hill. I’d definitely recommend an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle if you’re planning a visit, especially in wet or icy weather. We did have a small hiccup with the septic system during our stay, but the host was able to send a couple people, Dave and Kim. They responded right away and made sure the issue was resolved quickly — they were so friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Due to this, the host refunded a small portion of the stay's cost for our inconvenience - without us asking. Overall, it was a beautiful getaway with awesome hosts.

Hot tub was great….super clean & well maintained. Everything about the stay was as advertised. Super clean throughout. All kitchen essentials included. Nice appliances. Incredibly private and quiet. Property would be problematic for guests who have trouble walking/ use a cane or stick for balance. Plenty of stairs and uneven ground so not recommended for those folks. Really close to Nisqually/ west entrance to Mt Rainier Natl Park. Quick drive up to Paradise this time of year.

Absolutely wonderful time! The lovely cabin was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. So close to the park and the little town was so charming too! We were comfortable, had everything we could possibly need for our gourmet chef (aka my best friend!) to prepare all of our meals. She was so pleased with the cooking utensils. Yes, the kitchen is small but somehow still worked out great! The decks and hot tub were magical day and night. My only feedback is to maybe have more towels. With four women using both bathrooms daily and hot tub twice a day, we could have used a few more. Maybe put a few in upstairs loft. It took us a minute to figure out all the towels were in the downstairs bathroom cabinet. Extra fridge downstairs was perfect too. Thanks so much for everything. We definitely recommend and are considering coming back again!

Best vacation rental we've ever stayed in! We celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary here and upon arrival we were greeted with a card, a gift basket of goodies and a cold bottle of champagne. It was exactly as advertised, private but close to everything. Only 2 minutes to town and 6 miles to mt. Rainier national park. The owners really thought of every amenity you could ever want. We frequently stay in short term vacation rentals and this is absolutely one of the best places we've stayed. From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were fortunate to share a family's special getaway -- not a generic, made-for-profit income property. MossHenge is lovingly outfitted with everything you'd want at a mountain getaway, and then keeps going. We enjoyed the coffee equipment, luxury kitchen touches, hot tub, rec area in the garage, and fire pit time on the deck to name just a few highlights.

This may have been our favorite VRBO stat ever. This home is unbelievably beautiful, and completely secluded! Clean and accommodating, with everything you could possibly need and more! The little extras that the hosts supplied made it even more special!! we cannot recommend this house enough – it is an absolute gem! It is close enough to rain, yet secluded enough to have a quiet family day at the cabin. We stayed here for four nights while exploring Mt. Rainier. Every aspect of our stay was great. Communication was nearly instant, check in and check out were a breeze, the host is very thoughtful and accommodating, and the cabin was loaded with amenities, soaps, detergents, paper products, etc. It was totally turn key for us. We loved the appliances (including the awesome washer and dryer). Also, the location is perfect: very close to the MRNP entrance gate, but not too close that the entering traffic blocks access to the cabin. And the property is perfectly secluded among the trees with great night sky views, zero light pollution. Could not recommend highly enough!

The property itself is very nice and the hosts are very polite via the messaging. No complaints about that. This rating reflects the experience. This is the first trip where I realized I need to start setting up a camera of my own. Perhaps many people already do this. When we were away for the day the property was entered, things were moved around, lights were turned on, alcohol from the welcome basket was taken. It really put us on edge and made us do an inventory of our belongings since it was completely unexpected. It's not like we 'left no trace' they could have easily identified people were staying inside, if they wanted to. The host sent a message and said that staff had entered the property because they thought nobody was staying there.
