This wonderful sanctuary of peace and blessings along with the most gracious hosts Larry and Beverly made this trip so much more amazing. We came up not knowing what to expect and we are leaving with new friends that feels like family and are planning our next trip up there already. Thank you to our amazing hosts that had everything that we could have asked for plus some. Til next time God Bless you both.

The owners, Larry and Beverly, were wonderful hosts. We were welcomed with a sweet sign and delicious, homemade banana bread. This was the cleanest home-away-from-home we've been in thus far. Beverly's handmade soaps were a nice touch and we liked them so well, we bought several to take home with us. The area is beautiful and serene. Nature is the only sound you'll hear. We saw plenty of deer and turkey while out and about in the area. There are a billion stars to see at night and the sound of the creek is so peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again. It is a favorite!

Staying at this cottage is like stepping straight into the best parts of childhood, but only the good memories, the comforting ones you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. From the moment you arrive, you feel cared for in a way that’s rare these days. Knowing that you’ve been prayed for set such a peaceful tone, like the whole place was already wrapped in blessing.Every detail feels intentional. The welcome goodies are thoughtful and generous, the kind of touches that make you smile before you’ve even unpacked. And the soap… buy all the soaps. Truly the best soap ever—beautiful, luxurious, and somehow part of the whole healing experience. The cottage sits right in the heart of the Scripture “He makes me lie down in green pastures”. It’s tranquil, restorative, and absolutely perfect for a getaway that nourishes your soul. If you’re looking for a place to truly unplug and brings peace, nostalgia, and genuine care, THIS. IS. IT!

First, if we could give a score higher than 10 we would. The property is immaculate, the cottage was clean, comfy and quiet, such a great location. Speaking of the location we booked here because of the reviews for Larry and Beverly, who are absolutely amazing people, but also because we were on a hike/waterfall adventure and this was in the middle of our plan. The property is great, has a nice creek running through it and butts up to a state park. Larry was nice enough to show us the caves in the park one evening and also created a nice fire pit fire by the creek. We had great conversation with them. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, with absolutely no worries, peace and stress free, with the best hosts we have had at a VRBO, book here, book now!!!

My husband and I work highly stressful jobs and needed a place to relax and enjoy a beautiful atmosphere. The views were spectacular from the cottage. The special touches from Larry and Beverly were so appreciated-homemade muffins, homemade soap, and the special greeting when we arrived. They were the perfect hosts and the cottage was beyond our expectations. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our getaway to the tranquil cottage. The hosts were so welcoming and responsive. The house is spacious and would be great for a family or 2 couples. The kitchen was well stocked and the grounds are lively - especially the river! It's remote enough to feel like you are secluded but within 25 minutes of a good sized city (Crossville). Nearby amenities include hiking (ample), a buc-cees, Stonehaus winery and miss miller's gigantic donuts. Definitely worth it.

From the moment I arrived, I was completely enchanted by the beauty of the property. Larry and Beverly’s warmth and generosity are evident in every thoughtful detail, making for an unforgettable stay. As I stepped into the cabin, a welcoming sign and the sweet surprise of homemade lemon blueberry bread set the tone for a cozy retreat. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the handmade soap in the bathroom added yet another personal touch. One of the most serene spots on the property is the swing by the creek—it’s the perfect place to unwind. My friend and I cherished our time here and only wished we could have stayed longer. Without a doubt, this will be my go-to cabin whenever I need a peaceful escape.

You can wake up and go for a short or long hike right from the property or explore many different options within a short drive. Beautiful Property tucked into the Sequatchie Valley the road is a little scary getting there but worth the drive. Beverly and Larry are very welcoming they even had a cute little personalized sign with our names on it welcoming us to their cabin. Beverly made a homemade bread and some soap that she makes for the guests to enjoy. If you want a place to relax and just enjoy nature, read a book, and just escape the rush of everyday living, this is the perfect place to stay. The home is very clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay.
