Trails End Cabin, Pet Friendly, Lake James Oasis

Had a beautiful stay for a week with the family and pups. It's off the beaten path and in such a quiet peaceful place. The instructions were easy to understand and the host was very communicative! The cabin was just right for us and we loved the small creek running through the yard with the lightning bugs sparkling every night at dusk. Definitely recommend exploring the Lake James paddy creek area and also driving the Linn Cove Viaduct on the blue ridge parkway. If you like hiking you should explore Toms Creek falls and Catawba Falls! We loved driving into Marion and eating at Smokey Ques, Countryside Bbq and Mr Bobs Donuts! Sometimes you just need to get away and reset and this is the perfect place to do that! Far enough out in nature yet close enough to explore the wonderful areas all around! We loved this property, feels like a real escape. We brought our pup along with us and we all enjoyed hikes right out the back yard. Fonta Flora is a must go. It had everything we needed for a cabin in the woods!

The property was better than it shows online! It’s quaint, private, and homey. The outdoor area which is always top priority for me was beautiful and peaceful. We loved being able to walk right up the stone steps and wander trails for miles. We ended up at the brewery and then kept going and found an awesome little mountain stream. The area is close to Lake James and all the mountain activities you are probably looking for. Don’t hesitate to book!

The place was clean and had what we needed for a couple days. During our stay it got very cold at night and there were not any heat vents in back bedroom.

We loved our second stay here at thebTrails End cabin. I love the property grounds so much. Lots of room for our dogs to wander and sniff around! The proximity to lake James state park and the fonta flora brewery cannot be beat!

The cabin was absolutely adorable. Stocked with all the necessary supplies, great fire pit area, trails right behind the house, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms, clean bathrooms, I loved it all.

We had a wonderful stay at Trails End Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we appreciate that we could bring our pup along. He had a great time sniffing all around the property! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the “sound” of complete silence at night! I highly recommend this host and property! We felt very welcomed and there were plenty of towels, blankets and toiletries for use. I can’t wait to visit again!

Second time staying in this cute little home away from home. It was just as wonderfully relaxing as the last time.

This is the perfect little mountain cottage. Very welcoming and pet friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property and trails. The fire pit is wonderful at night. The kids loved cutting open the persimmon seed we found in the yard to see what kind of winter it predicted!

We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back!

Great place if you want to get away from it all, peace and quiet. We enjoyed hiking on the trails that can be joined right from the property. In the mornings we saw deer passing through, just behind the tree line. The place is clean, and the hosts clearly care about making your stay pleasant, with lots of nice little touches for you to discover.

It was a great cabin, tucked away and love the water trickling outside!!! It was clean and comfortable and cozy! Definitely would come back next time in the mountains!!!

We absolutely loved this quaint little cottage. It is tucked away providing the quiet and peaceful stay that allows you to reset. The proximity to the Fonta Flora brewery and Lake James was the best! Bonus- you can bring your pup which most places won’t allow.

Great place to stay! It is very clean and has everything that one would need: strong wifi (great for streaming TV}, comfortable beds, very quiet and close to fun activites! I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay.

Peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy with family or friends. If you travel with your dog this is a great place for a canine companion. It is convenient to Lake James and great options for hiking.

Great place and very quiet. Best place to relax and away from noise. Wish this place was in Nh, would rent weekends.The host was great too.

What a perfect getaway!! The cabin is secluded which we loved, the yard was beautiful and spacious. So many hiking options in the area and we hiked to the brewery which was great for drinks and dinner. The cabin was clean and welcoming, we really had a great time. Our two dogs came with us and they loved it as much as my husband and myself.

Arriving at Trail’s End is such a treat. The little cottage is nestled in at the end of the drive with beautiful rhododendron and rocks and a little creek on site. The back bedroom is a cozy cabin-like room with a very comfortable bed. The trails were fun to explore. Also really enjoyed the Paddy’s Creek trail in Lake James State Park and Fonta Flora brewing (whipporwil farm location) was fantastic. This is a really lovely place. The hosts are so thoughtful and responsive. The place is private and certainly feels safe for solo travelers. Also nice to find a place that welcomes dogs so graciously while still being really clean. Would definitely recommend to others.

This place is amazing. Located right on a trail system, it allows me to get some running in after work.
