We really enjoyed everything about this place. Felt like we were in the country but had quick access to Rapid City. It was a cozy place to be on a wintry post-Christmas vacation and play games by the fire--I have always enjoyed fireplaces and we made good use of this one. (wouldn't recommend you try it if you don't know what you're doing). Also appreciated that there wasn't a list of 57 things to do upon leaving. Would recommend it and stay there again!
We had such a great time here. The property is beautiful, and there was lots of wildlife. The house is very comfortable with plenty of space. Checkout was easy with a minimal list of things to do before leaving. We would absolutely stay here again!
We had a great time staying at the Woodland Chalet. It was very clean, well equipped, easy to locate, and very restful. Taryn is a great host who answers question quickly and efficiently. She went beyond what would be expected when we forgot an item and she happily mailed to back to us. We would definitely stay there again.
The property was beautiful and well maintained, the inside was very clean, welcoming and kid friendly! Our toddler loved watching the wildlife out the big windows and running through the yard. They provided everything we needed! It was a great experience!
We came for a family wedding. The space was everything we needed fascinating layout, but it entertained us greatly, fantastic outdoor areas thoughtfully laid out with comfortable seating and umbrellas, watching the deer walk to the backyard, and turkeys was fantastic. One even ate an apple out of our daughters hand.
Absolutely loved this place and the owners were super nice and helpful! Will definitely book again in the future!
Sisters and friends vacation. Had a great time. Very peaceful and lots of dear and turkeys. Would recommend this property.
Beautiful, peaceful, picturesque. Perfect layout. Spacious. We went for The Sturgis Bike Rally. It was the perfect home base after a full day of riding. Private and Safe. The perfect place. Taryn was Amazing!!
The house was just as pictured on Vrbo… Taryn was an awesome hostess! She went above and beyond our expectations… questions or any Communications were addressed & answered immediately. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet! A perfect, beautiful and lovely lot with a lot of wildlife. That was just a joy to watch. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and we are considering renting this same place again soon!!!
Home was very clean and pretty well stocked. Any issues were resolved in a timely fashion. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and the wildlife that came through the yard.
My family and my sister's family decided to stay here as a home base for a Black Hills vacation. Property is pretty evenly located for everywhere we wanted to go (Northern Black Hills, Southern Black Hills, Badlands). There was enough space for 4 adults and 3 children to spread out. Many wildlife will walk about the property. We saw deer pretty much every day we were there. It's a quiet neighborhood and up in the hills. Be careful if going in the colder months as the drive up to the house is a pretty steep trek. We did have some issues with the warm water in the showers but Taryn was very quick to address the issue. Owners were quick to respond to any questions or issues that arose. Other miscommunication was the check-out time was adjusted to be an hour earlier but we did not know of that. Taryn again was quick to adjust to our request of needing that additional hour to pack up and leave. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet spot to use while exploring the many things to do in the Black Hills.
Its a beautiful place and very peaceful, perfect location to stay at ....
