This quaint and well appointed cabin offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a wrap around sunny deck with quintessential Tahoe Donner views. Enter the home via a set of stairs to the second and third story living space above the two car garage. The great room and kitchen were recently remodeled, and are finished with engineered hard wood floors and a minimalist design. The layout of The Viking Haus follows:

There is no AC at this home. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors and blinds when you leave for the day.

    This is a recently updated, modern home near the ski slope in the Tahoe-Donner community. The house was very clean, uncluttered and tastefully decorated. It had all of the necessary amenities (except shampoo and conditioner which was noted in the listing). We are a family of five with three teenagers and the house was large enough to give each member their own space. The living and dining areas were ample and the kitchen and patio grill had everything we needed to prepare meals. Appliances were top-notch. The garage was extremely clean and provided space to store gear but probably too small to park a vehicle given the location of structural posts. However, there is parking available for two to three vehicles in the driveway. Be aware that the driveway is uphill and could pose a challenge during the snow season (we were here during the summer). There is a dip where the driveway meets the road which may not allow clearance for low-riding cars. There is no cable or live television so you will need to AirPlay your device to the TV. Not a big deal. WiFi is fast at the home and I was able to connect and do work. No reception issues at the home for calls. There is no A/C, so the house gets up to 80 degrees on hot days (it was 85 degrees in Truckee during our visit). But, the ventilation in the house is great and cools down fast in the evenings. Overall, this home is great, family-friendly (including a pet) and we will definitely come back.
