Stayed Nov 21, 2025This place was perfect for our family. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but less than a five minute drive to the heart of Fortuna. We found it interesting in the difference in culture on a couple of things. While the washer and dryer were different than we had experience with, however they were very efficient and easy to use. That sure saved us from having to pack a lot of clothes. The showers heads were something I had never experienced either, but after contacting the host he explained how to use them and we were able to get hot showers. (Just turn them on slightly so there is a medium flow!). Loved it!

Stayed Jun 9, 2025Everything was great. Washer was a little confusing to figure out, but host walked us right through it. Everything was great. We had a group of 7 and had plenty of room. Very close to town and activities. Free hot springs were a must.

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Cute house that felt very safe in a gated community. The upstairs bedrooms are bright in the morning, so we were glad we brought eye masks. It was helpful there were cell phone chargers in each room. We liked being 8 minutes from town away from town. The washing machine took some getting used to, but was nice to have. We would stay at the Toucan’s Nest again.

Stayed Nov 19, 2024The location was close to LaFortuna in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The houses are really close to each other and there is no soundproofing so we could hear the very noisy house next door two of three nights. The pool had a nice view of Arenal.
