I had a good experience, despite the house being old, everything works well, close to tourist attractions, excellent restaurants, markets and you can find many nice things to do. we all enjoyed our experience. The only thing I didn't approve of and didn't like was the cleanliness of the house, which left something to be desired. but it didn't stop us from enjoying our vacation. I recommend
Do not stay at this place EVER! At the beginning the owner was “nice”, she texted and called to check if “everything was ok”, we didn’t say anything about the bad qualities this cabin has because it was our first time staying at a place that is not a hotel. The property is a mites nest, old, terrible dusty curtains, rusty cutlery, damage dryer, old scratches on all the furniture, old and rusty hair dryer, the children's room has a hole in the ceiling that has an unpleasant smell, dust everywhere, it is impossible to sleep there and even more so when you have allergies. BUT THE WORTS PART IS: they will charge you for all the things that are already damaged in the property. We had an issue with an OLD stove burner cover which was paid directly and IMMEDIATELY to the owner, but guess what, They are in complicity with the person that cleans the house who sends old photos of unpublished damages the place already has and will charge you for it! I cannot recommend this place, it’s better to pay a hotel, there are lots of places to stay around the area. BTW, the tv doesn’t work, only Netflix and YouTube ¿?, no channels of weather… we finally ended up sleeping in the living room on an inflatable mattress that we bought yet ended up paying for repairs to the bunk bed we never used. We decided to leave the property a day early because the amount of dust was making it difficult breathe normally.
We recently had the pleasure of renting The Serenity Home on Sugar Mountain, for a surprise Christmas gift for our 3 sons, and our experience was nothing short of magical. Location is great, walking distance to Sugar Mountain slopes/tubing/ice skating, short drive to Banner Elk, Boone, Beech Mountain. The owner was attentive and responsive to our needs/questions, ensuring that our stay was hassle-free. The booking process was straightforward, and the check-in/check-out procedures were seamless. From the moment we arrived, throughout our entire stay, everything was perfect. We got to spent a lot of family time together. Our boys have been on many vacations and they've declared this one, the best one ever. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at The Serenity Home in Sugar Mountain.
We ski every year at sugar mountain with both of our kids. This location was great and it was cozy and quite for our family. Great location for everything around us.
The property was much nicer than the photos. Very convenient location with a lovely deck and great common area. A couple of couple of improvements: A visible outdoor address sign Non slip strips or grab bar in the tubs Primary bedroom mattress sags to the middle This is the first Sugar Mtn property to which we would return.
This place is DISGUSTING. The caulking in both bathrooms is full of mold and both bathrooms should have been updated long ago. There is dust and spider webs in the textured ceilings. I dropped an earring and had to look under the bed to get it and the trash under the bed is disgusting. The bunk beds are flimsy and unstable and unsafe. Multiple lamps had burned out bulbs. The baseboards, window sills, and doors are filthy with grime. The icemaker doesn't work. The is a total of 1 dishtowel provided in the kitchen. Bath linens consisted of 5 bath towels and 1 hand towel for 2 bathrooms. No washcloths. The TV is a disaster;apparently all one can do is stream whatever streaming service you have on your smart device. Around 1/2 of a roll of TP is provided in each bathroom. The cookware consists of skillets that are mismatched and are of very poor quality and condition. The painting is very sloppy and there are cracks in the seams of the drywall and ceiling panels.
We had a great trip to Sugar Mountain and this cabin was in great condition and location for us.
Great location, quiet, and super nice hostess! Thank you!
Great location. Nice property that got the job done. Everything and smooth.
My family and I had a great time staying in sugar mountain at Linseys cabin it was centrally located and close to shopping and attractions. It was quite and serene just what my family and I needed. It was close to Boone, Banner Elk and other areas which was nice and easy to get to. We really enjoyed Grandfather Mountain and driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Linsey was a great host, she was very helpful and provided plenty of information pamphlets on activities in and around the area. Would definitely return again.
This was a perfect location for all we wanted to see and do. Will stay again when in that area.
Enjoyed a great weekend at Sugar Mountain and even had snow!
