THE ROOST - Secluded Log Cabin, Hot Tub, Pool Table, Only 13 Miles from Downtown

Had a great stay for my 40th birthday weekend. Plenty of space for our group of 7. Loved the hot tub.

Oh man. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! Every little detail was thought of. There was so much room for our family with 3 teenagers and our family dog. We went during the holiday season and it was decorated so perfectly. We loved our stay at the roost and would absolutely stay there again in a heartbeat. The host and their local assistant were on hand to offer info about things to do in the area. They had great communication and were wonderful to work with. Thank you for a lovely 50th birthday stay!

Amazing relaxing place to stay

Place was clean and well appointed. We lived the pool table, hot tub, foosball table and especially the over sized large comfy couch where we could all be together. The large table and comfortable furniture upstairs was amazing too.

Our small group of family and friends enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing 5-night stay at The Roost. The house was nicely decorated, immaculate, and impeccably organized—incredible attention to detail. Thoughtful instructions and labeling throughout the house were helpful and enhanced the comfort of our stay. We cooked most of our meals at home, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with more than enough cooking and serving utensils and supplies. We wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the amenities (hot tub, pool table, foosball, arcade and board games, etc.) more! The house felt “secluded” in a good way, super peaceful, while still being close enough to lots of local eateries and attractions. (Visit some local farms, if possible!) We tried to disconnect some, but Wi-Fi worked great when needed. The Roost was our perfect cabin retreat in the woods.

The Roost is a beautiful property in a very secluded area. You are in the woods but 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. It is well appointed and supplies are plentiful. We enjoyed our stay in comfort and abundant accommodations, the amenities are top notch. The gravel drive is long and my low profile car did not clear well, keep that in mind. There are plenty of options in Fairview, a charming community. The Food Lion has a very good selection, Whistle Hop and Turgua are nearby breweries with excellent food trucks scheduled, The Local Joint has great service and food, all are dog friendly. Rich and Ali are excellent hosts, reaching out to ensure contentment without being overly solicitous. Any issues were dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. We enjoyed our stay and were reluctant to leave, it felt like home!

Beautiful property hidden away in the woods. We stopped to check out Asheville on our way home from the beach and The Roost was the perfect spot to recharge for a few days. The cabin is clean, well organized and so cozy. Communication with our host was quick and easy and an informational binder answered all our questions and had some great recommendations for food, breweries and groceries. We loved it here. I booked this cabin with a group of friends for a bachelor weekend. Rich was communicative, the cabin was beautiful, and the amenities were fantastic.The cabin feels isolated and private, yet Asheville is only a short drive away. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

We planned a quick trip to Asheville and were fortunate to stay at the Roost. The house is just as listed and we were just a short drive to shops and restaurants in downtown Asheville. The kitchen is well stocked, there was plenty for my kids to do at the house while we made our plans for the day each morning. Asheville is still recovering from Helene so we were limited in what was open for outdoor adventures but most of downtown is back open. The house is well secluded and has a long gravel driveway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and my kids have been recommending the house to their friends since we got back.

This cabin was an oasis of perfection in an area recovering from a terrible storm. It was sad driving through nearby areas to get there, but this place seemed unscarred by the devastation! It was perfectly decorated. The beds were comfy with nice pillows and linens. And plenty of linens too. The kitchen had everything we could need. We grilled out and were in the large hot tub every night. We slept like babies with the black out curtains. The boys loved the games downstairs. Bathrooms were nice and spotless. They certainly thought of everything!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods! Fantastic deck for hanging outside. Great for kids and dogs. We enjoyed the hot tub and made s’mores by the fire! Location is not too far from downtown Asheville, Biltmore or Sierra Nevada. We will recommend to our friends and family and will stay here again!

Excellent location, immaculate home. Easy check in/out. Just beautiful.

The property was good for our large group. It was clean and had all the amenities that were advertised. The manager kindly let us know that the house was ready and we could check in early. There was plenty of space for the kids to enjoy all of the lower level amenities when we returned from our excursions.

We had a wonderful time gathering for a 50th anniversary celebration. The Roost is well appointed and was the perfect amount of space for our group of 9. The tween/teen kids loved all of the games and basement space for entertainment. The large dining table was the perfect spot for family meals and evening group games. We had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Both the owner and property manager were incredibly helpful and very responsive and offered wonderful suggestions for the Asheville area. It was a great week!
