I was under the impression the property was secluded , I messaged propery manager with no response , the toilet was leaking on floor , the second bath had no hot water the sink leaked. the washer and dryer did not work , our neighbors were partying and loud. the downstairs unit which I did not even know existed was wide open the door was literally open overnight , then the unit was rented. I never woud have rented in a resort or duplex , We were super dissapointed
Property was clean with accurate depictions of the property. Pet friendly home and surrounding area with plenty of space to walk. Home could use minor repairs such as lightbulbs, fully installed washer/dryer, screen repair, and blinds/window coverings in master bed area. Property listing highlights that lower level may also be rented out to other guests however it was occupied by property staff who seemed to have others coming and going into the late hours of the night. Property manager was not available by phone/email prior to check in for any questions that one might have.
I’m a single mom driving up from FL. My gps did not lead us here directly and I’m not used to driving in the mountains. It sent us about a mile and a half up the road. Thankfully the sun had not set and we found it. Our cabin was up at the wayyy top! I saw Jessie right away at the bottom f the property and she helped us up the mountain l, gave me her number if I had any trouble over the weekend and then went crazy out of her way to help us with a birthday. She’s a sweetheart!!
Great experience very happy with rental!
We loved the location and the place was very clean, had everything we needed. Perfect for family of four, with teenagers!
Location was great but trying to find out was another story. The address wasn't a direct Location found on GPS. We got lost several times and with a stroke of luck finally found it. Place was not quite as promised in listing. We were told it was a house/cabin, 3 bedroom and 2 bath. However, although true we didn't know the downstairs unit was being lived in. So we didn't have the whole property to ourselves. We also found out that the property manager or someone affiliated with property was living right next door and entered our property while we were gone claiming the washer blew a pipe and flooded downstairs apartment. No phone call or anything and our dogs were there. So, rather than letting us know and fixing it we didn't have that option. Downstairs tenants were noisy and Location was far from any real grocery stores. Grill didn't provide necessary parts to run that. Not sure if we will stay again.
Better than advertised!!!
This was an upstairs and downstairs house (2 units) we thought we had the house to ourselves. We spoke to the owner and he gave us the use of another great house. They were very accommodating and had a fantastic time. They gave us use of fishing equipment and a canoe for the lake. I would recommend this to everyone and we hope to book next year. Thanks Mike and Donna
Everything was excellent.
The Ridgeline cabin at Sautee Mountain Retreat is part of a small community of vacation rental properties located just close enough to fun activities, but far enough away to feel like a real getaway. Note that this particular cabin has a separate unit downstairs that rents out as well. Even though this unit says there are 'stairs required', that is not the case. You arrive and park at the property at ground level, and this portion of the cabin is single story with no inside stairs. Our party used all three bedrooms, two of which featured king beds. A third bedroom featured a queen bed, but was lacking closet and dresser space, which may be a consideration. The cabin featured a full kitchen, two full baths, decent Wifi and DirecTV. There are also a dart board and tabletop shuffleboard game for some screens-off family fun, but I recommend bringing your own darts if that is something you are interested in. The property also lists a fire pit as an amenity, but for this cabin there is only a rolling BBQ. A makeshift fire pit *may* have been installed during our stay for s'mores purposes... :) Overall, great spot. Some things about the property were curious, like the Astroturf and fountains outside, but our family had an excellent time nonetheless, and would recommend staying here to others.
