Lake Toxaway, North Carolina
Relax in this tranquil mountain cabin. Perfect place to unwind or retreat to after outdoor adventures. Conveniently located between Brevard and Cashiers in the area known as the land of the waterfalls. The cabin is located inside the gated community of Westridge. The home faces the woods at the end of a street so there is plenty of privacy within the safety of a community. Walkable to restaurants. A short drive to Gorges State Park and Panthertown State Park. Both parks have great hikes to waterfalls.
This was perfect for a couple of days respite after the hectic Christmas season. It was me, my two teenage kids and our Goldendoodle and we were cozy in the cabin making fires, reading and playing games. Interesting luxury RV park...not my ideal and for a longer stay or in summer season. I would have wanted to be more secluded and I didn't understand from the listing and pictures.
Close proximity to restaurants and hiking! Just what I was looking for.
We stayed here because we had family staying in the RV resort inside the same gated neighborhood. The house was very cozy and perfect for what we needed it for. It was clean and accommodating. Really nice mountain veiws up near the mountain view clubhouse. Only negative is the wifi was not that great and we did not have very good phone reception. Wasn't that big of a deal for us as we were on vacation and didnt need internet for business. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Absolutely perfect in every way!! Wonderful Mountain Cabin with beautiful views on all all sides…we had a wonderful time, just minutes away from several wonderful restaurants, and lots of shopping in nearby Cashiers and Highlands, not to mention Lake Toxaway/Sapphire Valley! John was just a message away, and got back to us right away when we had a question. The place had everything we could possibly need and we enjoyed every minute ❤️?️❤️. Thanks for a wonderful birthday ? trip!!
We had a great stay. Property is very cute and relaxing. Host was very accommodating. Enjoyed several near by restaurants.
The location is great, in an area that's not really busy (at least during our time, last week of September). It is close to a lot of waterfalls, which was the main attraction for my trip. The cabin is neat and clean, and we really enjoyed the screened-in porch that was just about as much room as the interior. I would love to live somewhere with a porch like that. The dog was able to enjoy being outside without us worrying about her. Wifi is a little slow, but it was still very usable to stream tv and for my husband to check into work. Overall, would stay here again if we ever come back to the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Roof Inn. It's probably one of the best lots in the community, as the full-length screened-in porch offers plenty of peaceful, wooded privacy and, if you enjoy cooking your own meals, the full kitchen features a gas range for the chefs out there who know gas is the way to go. We'll definitely be back!
Fair
The Red Roof Inn Cabin was cozy and well appointed and had a perfect screen porch to watch a pop-up thundershower pass by. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Grand Olde Station restaurant on Lake Toxaway and hiking at Gorges State Park. Rainbow Falls was beautiful. Another short drive took us to the Whiteside Mountain Trail with its incredible long range views. We will be back to do some longer hikes, and this will be a perfect home base. It is close to Cashiers, Highlands and 5 minutes from Lake Toxaway. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
Delightful cottage. Neighborhood was quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing mountain experience.
Perfect! Although we did struggle a bit with the door key pad!!! ( Hope we got it locked up upon depature!). The accomodations were spot on! Just lovely. Didn't know if there was a place to leave our garbage?? We looked around properties, but could not locate a bin (?). We hope to return soon!
Great location nice place
My husband and I were looking for a place to spend our 5 year anniversary and this place was amazing. The screened porch was perfect for my morning coffee or just to hangout in and play cards. It is nicely located to multiple state and federal parks to hike and view waterfalls. There are even a couple places to take horseback guided trail rides. I recommend Rusty Spur Trail Rides. John, the owner, was very nice and responsive to questions we asked. We will definitely be going back.
