Stayed Jun 28, 2025This is the first negative review that I have given in 20 years of using VRBO. I booked in January with understanding that air conditioning would be installed in early Spring. VRBO add listed air conditioning (since has been removed from listing) so never thought to question owner. Was notified 24 hours before arrival that air was never installed. We had an opportunity to book neighboring resort cabin with air for 600 less per week in March but felt like we should honor our reservation here. Wi-Fi password listed on welcome email did not work as well as the gas grill. Requested monetary concession for the three issues and was told no, you had access to the lake for the price of hotel in Grand Rapids. Rent at your own risk, bring box fans, cellular hotspot and charcoal or better yet stay at Spider Shores resort and spend the extra 600 on yourself.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024Ideal for what we were looking for—affordable, lakefront, and relatively secluded. Fishing was good with lots of medium sized bass and bluegills, good northern, and a couple muskies.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024Our family of four stayed for a four day weekend. The lake is beautiful and scenic. Great fishing off the pier, especially for kids. The host was great. He quickly and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Great stay.

Stayed Aug 7, 2024The cabin was a cute little cabin that provided us everything we needed for our stay. There was a little bait shop just up the road, so that was super convenient as well. Boat launch was close by and the provided dock made securing the boat super easy. Large lot for dropping the trailer was also nice. We would totally rent this place again. The master suite was plenty big, the bunk beds looked like they would work great for 8+ year old kids. Very pretty views and sounds from the cabin deck and docks.
