Stayed Feb 4, 2026Our stay at the Pacifica Inn was absolutely magical! The photos are accurate, much to my delight. I was skeptical that the views shown could be true, but they were! What wasn’t able to be shown was the fact that we could hear birdsong in the morning, and the gentle sounds of leaves blowing in the breeze. We stayed on three islands, and were in some ritzy resorts, but the Pacifica Inn was truly our favorite! It felt like an authentic Hawaiian experience. Jennifer was prompt and clear in communication, and very friendly and kind. We appreciated the location near Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. There are also some really good restaurants in the area (a brewery/pizza place and a fancier restaurant) which was a plus. I would highly recommend Pacifica Inn!

Stayed Feb 1, 2026The host was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips for the area. The place was a little hard to find and the parking was tight. When we found the place it was very clean and welcoming.

Stayed Jan 23, 2026We loved everything about our stay in The Nene Room. The space was perfect for a short getaway. The bed was comfortable and we were thankful for the heater in the morning hours as the temps dipped quite a bit at night! The entire property was just stunning and felt like we had our own private retreat. Our favorite part of the accommodations was the large windows and the landscaping light that illuminated the tropical forest. I could've laid in bed staring that the beauty of the surrounding nature for days!

Stayed Nov 7, 2025Great location. Cool little cabin with fantastic view out the windows. I liked this place, but parking is an issue. If all 4 parking spots had been used I am not sure how I would have gotten out early in the morning.

Stayed Nov 6, 2025The Nene Room at the Pacifica Inn is a tropical oasis in a magical rain forest setting. It is a short drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and to Volcano village. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and the view from the large corner windows is beyond gorgeous. The owner is very pleasant to work with and answers questions promptly. This could easily become your favorite place to stay when visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Jennifer was a great host and she upgraded my partner and I for our anniversary which was totally unnecessary but very much appreciated! The location is beautiful and very close to Volcano National Park. Had all the amenities you’d need for a weekend trip but it could’ve been a bit cleaner. The floors and surfaces were sticky and the shower curtain needed to be changed out. But other than that, we would 100% stay here again.

Stayed Jun 2, 2025This place had everything we needed for our 3 day stay in Volcano. Super convey location to the park, town and the host was great at communicating and accommodating our needs. She gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat, too. We would definitely visit again if we ever make it back to HI/Volcano.

Stayed Mar 19, 2025Nice, simple room that is somewhat spartan but quite beautiful with views of the giant ferns. It was a little chilly but manageable with the in-room space heater. The hosts were really good with communication and very polite and helpful. I would caution anyone arriving at night because there is no visible signage or address number. Read the arrival instructions carefully as it was really difficult to find after dark until we started counting driveways. The other caveat relates to parking, The parking area is rather small and definitely tight. it may not be feasible if there are other cars present — and especially if these are larger cars or SUV’s. Our rental agency gave us a minivan (unexpectedly) and we really only barely managed to park.after 15 minutes of careful maneuvering. Otherwise, this was a good value and a good option for visiting Volcano Nat Park, Make sure you eat dinner early because the local restaurants and cafes close by 8pm and won’t seat you after 7:30. We had to drive to Hilo to get dinner after staying until dark to view the lava flow at Volcano.
