We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed sitting on the deck, the hot tub, the fire pit, and cooking in the lovely kitchen with everything you need to cook, including spices. Hilary had outstanding communication with us even when we couldn’t find the paddle board. She made sure one was dropped off the next morning. It was so convenient to have camping/beach chairs to take to White Pines Lake. Our Goldendoodle was so happy she got to join us. It was a lot warmer than we anticipated at night so luckily we found the window air unit to put in for the upper level bedroom, otherwise we’d be sleeping in the bottom floor tv room. We really wanted to use the fireplace/stove but it was too warm of weather. It was very close to the calaveras big trees and the lake which was wonderful to take the kids to explore. The hoa center has a lot to offer but they do charge 25 pp/per day, so we opted to go to the public lake which was free, much larger, and awesome. The water was quite brisk this time of year about 64-68 degrees, but it didn’t stop our kids from swimming to the middle of the lake for hours on end. We love how it’s like a quiet mini Tahoe mountain town without all the tourists. The real log fire pit for s’mores was a huge hit and the gas one in the deck to wind down late in the afternoon was a bonus. Thank you for a warm inviting cabin. The driveway is steep and if someone is parked at the top spot, it works best if you have someone guiding you out. We look forward to coming back.
