The Lake House - Hot tub with Lake view!

The lake access was the best part of our stay. We really did love the lake house and the cleaniness inside. On the outside I hoped the canoe and kayaks would be hosed out. We did not attempt to use because of the spiders inside and would have had to drag them uphill to rinse out. The hot tub could have been scrubbed clean by the jets as well. Overall we really enjoyed it!

It was fantastic! Home was clean, and the hot tub was great! The view and the fishing stole the show. Thank you!

Perfect for a girl’s weekend. Weather was great! House was clean. The only issue was the hot tub was a little moldy around the top/vents and needed a scrub but is to be expected in a warm moist environment. We will definitely be back

A perfect place to get away and disconnect!

My husband and I rented the lake house for our 5th Anniversary. It was very clean and no bugs. We had a wonderful time. A few things that can make it better- a more comfortable bed, a light on the outside patio with the grill and better water pressure in the shower. We ended up taking all the pillow off the other beds and that helped. We bought a cheap lamp and plugged it in outside so we could see to grill. Overall- it was a great little getaway. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful.

My sisters and I loved the cabin and had everything we needed. We would 100% go back. It was clean and Chelsea responded to every question promptly. The online pictures do not do it justice. It is beautifully situated right on a private lake. We stayed in October and enjoyed the fall foliage. anytime we weren't out hiking or eating we were on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful view we made use of the hot tub and the kayaks. there's nothing negative we could say about the cabin itself. it was a about a 25 minute ride though to any of the caves and about 30 minutes to restaurants. but the beauty of the cabin and its surroundings outweigh that.

We just adored this house! Perfect for families, fun to adventure the property and also cozy to wind down after hiking all day!

Everything was just as pictured. Actually, it was bigger than expected!

Had a great time. The grill needs updated. If something a.guest would want to do, the grill was unoperable/old. The cabin, the location, the lake in the woods, and reaching and speaking to the host, was 5 star, and then some. Would return to tbis or other Venture Cabins Ty:)

Our trip was amazing! Very relaxing. My husband enjoyed the kayaks while I enjoyed sitting on the porch reading a book! We had everything we needed in the house for our stay.

We had the best time staying at the cabin. The check in process was a breeze. The cabin itself was everything we could have asked for. So cozy and a great feeling of home. We loved the kayaks and the house was stocked well with amenities. My husband and his friends really enjoyed the pool table only thing was the bumpers on the table were worn. Not a big deal because they still enjoyed themselves. The hot tub was the highlight of the stay. Clean and very relaxing on the cooler nights. We appreciated being able to watch movies on the smart tv and the location was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be staying again. The host was easy to contact and overall I would definitely recommend.

Great cabin for a peaceful getaway weekend. Enjoyed the view, outdoor fire pit, and jacuzzi. Communication with the host was great!

If you are looking for a weekend getaway, highly recommend this place. There are some areas that could use improvement but overall, it met our needs.

Great relaxing area

It was ok. Needs updated. Hard to fish from bank branches need trimmed back canoe and kayaks are not the best. The canoe was definitely shaky not in best condition. Pool table is in poor condition rails need fixed. I thought it would be nicer for the price.

Would have liked to see some instructions for the gas fireplace use. Other cabins we have stayed in often had a remote start mounted nearby. Had no idea what to do w/this one. Might like to try this one again in good weather.

Nice place to stay. We enjoyed the lake and nearby state park. Peaceful location and the kids loved the lake and amenities.

I was so excited booking this house, when we pulled up, I was like, “this is not what I booked” then when it was time to leave, we did not want to leave. The only reason that comment was made was because when you pull up the house does not look like the picture at first. I learned later the pic was taken from the back side. The home and area is beautiful. I didn’t really care for the 20 minute drive to almost everything. Felt like 40 on those roads. lolThere was plenty to keep yourself occupied on the property. Teens loved the kyaks, my husband and I caught some a bass and a blue gill, lighter fluid and lighters that were provided was nice. We did not see the box fan in the one closet until the last day. Wish we would have saw that sooner. Bluetooth radio was a nice touch, as well as the games. We discovered a new found love for the game of pool. We spent hours playing. Hot tub was clean just missing cushions for the head but nice for the night time cold air. View was beautiful, check in was easy. Definitely would stay again

Although the roads are very pot holey everything was wonderful! We appreciate the hospitality and the place is gorgeous! Our family spent time on the water, playing pool and around the fire pit! We will for sure be back soon!! Perfect for our long weekend away from life’s busy hustle and bustle!

Very cool location on the water, stayed in winter time and sites were beautiful. Pool table and Hot Tub were highlights for us, but will be bringing the kids back in the future for a summer time stay. Propety owners were very responsive to any questions and concerns, and overall we had a great time! Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed this cabin and its location. Very private and off the beaten path. We had a great time and would definitely consider this host for future visits.

We've stayed at many places in Hocking in the past, and this has been one of our favorites! Location was perfect , we really enjoyed the views and amenities of the cabin. It's cozy and clean, and completely met our expectations. Didn't catch any fish in the lake. We were curious if it was stocked or if there was just little bluegill in there, but either way, we enjoyed the entire weekend and would absolutely return!

Location was gorgeous as were the fall colors. Kayaking on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. The home could use a little deep cleaning. Communication with the property management team was great! Any issues we had were immediately addressed. Thank you for having us!!

Clean it better. Probably need a new dryer. Shouldn’t take 3 hours to dry a load. There is no way the house is level. It tilts

The fishing was good. The hot tub was dirty so only was in it once. Was really looking forward to being in it a lot. Parts missing. Hot tub & fishing is my main reason for vacation.

We didn't have very dry weather however we made the most of our stay and enjoyed the coziness the property provided!

Place was cute and clean. Says lakeview truth it's a sneak peek covered by trees obscuring the view. Awesome hot tub, pretty patio. It was all good until I was laying on the couch and felt movement on me. I jumped up, a mouse jumped off the couch and scurried away. I did leave text, and owner offered to bring mouse traps. I told her just to have cleaning person bring at checkout. The fireplace didn't turn on after following directions. We ended up leaving a full day early, because a restful night of sleep never came after the mouse incident.We realize this can happen in the woods, but there is a big gap under the door entrance, and one by the hot tub. The owner was apologetic, but when we texted her to let her know we left early, I personally would have offered a slight discount. She was nice enough, and said she hoped we liked our stay. Would be great place if mouse entrances fixed, we made sure to keep all doors closed,and leftthe place spotless.

We've stayed there many times over the past decade. We missed the canoe- the kayaks weren't quite as easy to manage. The new sink & counters are beautiful! Having the pull out bed upstairs so my kids didn't have to share was also pretty awesome. It's such a beautiful, if older, cabin & a great spot.
