The Kentucky Kajun! A Beautiful 5 Bed / 4 Bath Cabin On Barren River Lake.

Host was excellent, property was nice and house was clean! Great location on the lake with easy access to everything we wanted to do.

The home was beautiful. Very clean and lots of extra stuff (spices, laundry supplies, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels). We enjoyed the grill, hot tub and fire pit (firewood was included already). The host, Cori was excellent at communication and updated us as needed. We enjoyed this home and was one of our favorites. We travel each year for family vacation an this was without doubt the best one we have used . We also appreciated the welcome to our home gifts (popcorn, fiddle faddle, cheese crackers) what a warming gesture. One thing I really liked was the light switches, ceiling fan, tv remotes are all labeled for you :) Will visit again.The cons were very few: (the dairy farm across the road the natural smells swept through but didn't last long) the path to the lake was difficult to venture down if you want to get your feet wet or skip some rocks. Don't let these simple things stop you from staying the Pros definitely outweigh them.

Great property with awesome views! 15-25 minutes to town/restaurants. Our host was very accommodating and our cabin on the lake was beautiful!! Had everything we needed and well stocked. Well thought out!!!

My family: wife &I and 4 kids are married and 3 grandchildren. So 5 couples and 3 children. Place was awesome. Just as pics show. Plenty of bathrooms and great location. We loved our weekend there

This is the most perfect cabin! Everything we needed was there, just where you’d expect. There were towels for bathing as well as those designated for the hot tub and cleaning up dirty footprints. We had plenty of dishes and cookware for 6 people. Switches are labeled clearly and it was spotless! We want to stay again in the future!

It’s the definition of a cozy cabin escape.The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the property is stunning. The amenities were beautiful—you can tell a lot of care went into the details. We made some precious memories and can't wait for our next trip back!

Kentucky Kajun was absolutely amazing!! The owner Cori was great from start to finish. We even had the opportunity to meet her and her husband . This property is just as the pictures you see online. Every detail is well thought out. You just need to bring the positive attitudes. The beds were comfy and so many beautiful blankets to snuggle up with which made it so nice at night while watching tv. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need from spices to pots and pans. Oh and I can’t forget we were welcomed with some tasty goodies. If you have young children they are going to love this place. The outside was just as entertaining as the inside. The breath taking deck with large rocking chairs, fire pit, hot tub, and swings just really brought it all together. The view from the deck was phenomenal. We had an issue with a tv and Cori responded immediately and found out the tv had to be replaced and she and her husband went out of their way to go and purchase a new tv. We were so grateful because a big game was coming on. The men needed their tv and the women needed their tv. Again we spent some time talking to them and they are some of the nicest people. Beautiful, well-kept house; excellent host and communications. We felt right at home.

We came for LS Fest and chose this cabin to accommodate the large group. Excellent cabin with plenty of space for all of us including teenagers and a toddler. Cabin was well stocked with everything you would need and was better than any of us could have expected. We’ll be back next year!

Family enjoyed their stay! Everything was great and enjoyed the sunset each night around a campfire. House was clean and comfortable. The view of the lake was beautiful and peaceful throughout the week. Noise and traffic picked up with the start of the Labor Day weekend. Only downside was the yard was small with little space for outdoor activities.

Wonderful place for the whole family to gather! We loved the layout of the house and the view from the deck. Definitely steep down to the lake— not recommended for young children or elderly— but we were well warned about the incline and knew before coming. Host was very informative and helpful with anything needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Everything was superb. The house is well maintained and has a great view of the lake. We will return to this house!

Great house and well appointed for larger gatherings with plenty of dishware etc. The house has almost everything you need (towels, TONS of games, bug spray, even candles for a birthday party) but bring a few extra rolls of tp, trash bags, and beach towels/water shoes if you think you may go to the lake for a swim (which we did). 10/10 great experience!

We had an amazing time at Kentucky Kajun! Cori was wonderful to work with. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. The views were fantastic. This was, by far, the best rental we have ever had. We hope to visit again in the future.

The house was perfect with all the beautiful woodwork and finishes. The game room was a big hit and all the amenities were top notch. We loved our stay here and would certainly do it again!

Family vacation. This home was PERFECT! Close to so many adventures! Kayaking. fishing, hiking, local shops and restaurants. Owners were super responsive, and we truly appreciate them sharing their home with us. We will be back!

We all enjoyed the Kentucky Kajun cabin so much! Beautiful cabin, very well appointed! The lake and the sunsets were amazing! We followed many of the suggestions received by our Host Cori, and they were all awesome! Also Cori was very prompt to answer any questions. Highly recommend renting and enjoying the Kentucky Kajun!!!

We had a fantastic time! The house was beautiful and plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Beds were very comfortable! We saw Mammoth Caves and Dinosaur World, had bonfires, fished, played games, and enjoyed family time together. The owners were wonderful to work with and provided plenty of amenities

We had a great time staying at the Kentucky Kajun. It served as a nice home base as family gathered to hang out and explore the area from Bowling Green to Mammoth cave. The home was as advertised. The host was responsive and kept us informed of expectations. It was also nice that they provided some basic amenities so we didn't need to rush out to get anything. Would happily stay here again.

We enjoyed our time at the property! We were greeted with snacks and goodies upon arrival. The house is spacious and provides beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed the fire pit (with plenty of firewood available), the hot tub and the downstairs gaming area. The beds, pillows and furniture are comfortable. The kitchen is ample-sized and provided most everything we needed - perhaps a few more measuring cups would be helpful. The waters edge is accessible for those that want the cardio of a fairly steep incline - there is a rope attached to trees to assist your ascent & descent. There are kayaks and life jackets available - we did not partake (still a bit too cold.) The location was fairly convenient - 45 minutes to Mammoth Cave NP or Bowling Green &15 minutes to Scottsville. Nearby Barren River State Park appeared to be mostly shut down. (Perhaps from flooding?) Also Bailey’s Point campground was also closed off and appeared to be in a state of disrepair. We did enjoy Saturday dinner with live music at Rusty’s Lakeside Pub and Sunday breakfast at Paradise Point nextdoor. Both provided good food and a fun environment. One suggestion: the setting sun was at times blinding while sitting in the living room for about an hour each evening - blinds/curtains would remedy that. But certainly it’s a small, momentary price to pay for the picturesque views the rest of the day. All in all, we would definitely recommend the Kentucky Kajun to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely beautiful. We just kept appreciating this home throughout our stay. Everything we needed and then some. We planned to return one summer so that we can enjoy the lake more.

Even in the winter, there was no shortage of things to do. The house was stocked with anything we would need and Cori was quick to respond all the way leading up to our visit. We walked away so happy and even the house was decorated for the Holidays and was so cozy. We are already planning our summer trip and looking forward to hanging in the water!

The setting was perfect for our annual family Thanksgiving week. The lake and the wildlife was the icing on the cake!

Four couples stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved our stay! The owners have thought of everything and decorated for the fall season. Convenient, serene, beautiful and fun! We will be back for sure!

We are a group of 4 senior couples that travel together once a year. Kentucky Kajun was perfect. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable, deck was large enough for all of us to sit and talk and catch up. Sunsets were beautiful, even with the rain.

Loved the house and view. Would have loved easier access to the lake and a handrail to the upstairs bedrooms, as we are older adults. Did not love the smell from the dairy across the road. The sunsets were beautiful!
