This is a fantastic and gorgeous getaway spot! The cabin overlooks a beautiful gurgling bubbly creek and sits high above it, and there is a deck below the cabin where you can enjoy the creek close up. The sound of the creek is fabulous. The cabin, which is really a manufactured tiny house/trailer, is cozy and comfortable with everything you could need to relax and cook. Since the cabin is at least 6 miles off the main road and two miles off pavement (but passable), you probably won't be going out to dinner and will want to cook there.... there is no better place to enjoy a romantic meal or to sit and have coffee. The only criticism we had was that the gas grill was in need of replacement - one burner didn't work and the grill needs extensive cleaning (probably replacement). While there is no internet or cell signal, the cabin has a land line and there is a DVD player and DISH, so you're not completely cut off from the world (if you don't want to be). Also, the cabin was super clean, which is, of course, a concern in the world of COVID. If you truly want a comfortable place to get away and to be in the midst of nature... this is the place!

Perfect getaway from every distraction! No cell service was actually a good thing because we relaxed our bodies and renewed our minds! The sound of the creek was so peaceful! The tiny house is absolutely adorable and we had everything we needed! Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful property with us! I highly recommend it to others wanting to unwind and unplug in a serene setting to just enjoy each other and God's beauty!

This property is all about enjoying the simple pleasures of nature in a true getaway location, and with all the aaaahhhhhh factor one could want. The owners were friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful and the cabin while small, is a perfect size for 2-4. It is neat as a pin and tastefully decorated. Further, it's very well appointed with any necessity one could want. If you want/need something to do - read as entertainment - The Junction is not for you; if you want a marvelous dose of peace and quiet, true natural beauty, and a place you can find needed respite, you won't find a better experience or value. You won't want to leave any more than we did!

This place is an absolute gem! The view is stunning, overlooking the 2 creeks. The sound of the rushing water at all times. It was complete serenity! Everything in the home was well kept up. The attention to detail was unlike any thing I’ve ever seen in a rental. We had no questions at all. And the sweet gift she left upon arrival was over the top amazing! Everything was very welcoming and cozy! We highly recommend this place. If you’re looking at staying, I’d say BOOK NOW! This place is above 5 star!

This is a great place to disconnect and listen to nature. The cabin with covered patio is really comfortable and well stocked. There is plenty of beauty in the area and fun roads if you really enjoy driving.BE WARNED: there is no cell service and no internet and it's almost 30 minutes into town. The last mile or so is a private road and not county maintained so it is rougher than the host says. I would not take anything lower than a mid size SUV or you may scrape on some parts of the road.

The Junction was even more beautiful and serene than the listing described. The tiny home was thoughtfully designed, cozy without ever feeling cramped, and every detail reflected care and intentionality. Alice was incredibly gracious and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The amenities were plentiful and genuinely useful, from well-stocked supplies to quality utensils that made settling in effortless. The location is a rare gift: far enough away to feel wonderfully secluded, yet close enough for easy access to everything we needed.Being just a short drive from two of my favorite places (Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and the Cherohala Skyway) made the experience even more special.Honestly, it’s hard to understand why anyone would choose crowded, carbon-copy destinations when a peaceful slice of heaven like this exists. We would return without hesitation and recommend it wholeheartedly.

I've stayed in more places than I can count, but none have ever held me the way The Junction did. The listing calls it a tiny home, the photos are honest, yet they still fail to capture the magic. This off-grid cabin, tucked at the confluence of two creeks in the Snowbird Backcountry, is pure wonder. Getting there is an adventure in itself made all the more special by the detailed pre-trip emails and directions that made it seamless. From the first message to the last, her care was extraordinary. There were so many surprises when you stepped inside. I won't spoil it for future guests but I've never felt so welcome at a VRBO! Just a few things I can mention: A basket filled with maps, brochures, her notes on each, and DVD's of locally filmed movies all added so much to the trip. Fresh branches of fall colors stood in vases like the forest had walked inside to keep us company. And then the wall: a framed letter from the owner, telling the land's own story. Logging operations that once thundered across these creeks. The Trail of Tears that ghosted through this soil. Old photos, rusted relics, her reverence for the land permeated the cabin. The Junction earned it's name honestly.Spotless, cozy, thoughtfully stocked, and wrapped in a history you can touch. Four nights felt like 4 weeks of soul-resetting. And 5 stars feels too small. This isn't a rental; it's a gift. Thank you for sharing your slice of backcountry with us. We left renewed and hope to come back some day.

It was also close enough for us to go hike in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as other nearby sites and attractions. My wife and I weren’t as prepared as normal for our trip. Good thing we booked through Alice! I think she was the most organized host we’ve had. Started this adventure with the final mile of road not being as challenging as I thought it would be. Actually, it only adds to the backwoods atmosphere which was the idea in the first place! Cabin/cottage more than ample size, particularly with the huge deck which offers both covered and open areas for relaxing in sun or shade. And the 4-5’ ceiling height of the carpeted loft area would have been a cool and exciting sleeping-bag experience for me when I was a kid, not to mention the fun-looking stairs to climb in order to get up there! Every conceivable item of convenience has been thought of in order for guests to have an all-around perfect stay. Great view from the deck 30-40’ above the creek, as well as easy access below for fishing and/or wading. Just a great all-around enjoyable experience thanks to Alice and Doug!!

Outstanding in every way. Everything positive other reviewers say about the place is true so I won't repeat them here. Many thoughtful additions/appointments make your stay a couple of shelves above 'OK'. There's no internet but Starlink Mini worked well enough (Best location is right on the deck rail a few feet beyond the steps and orient the antenna towards the north. The app will do the rest.) The drain field immediately to the east of The Junction (with a nice fire pit) makes for a great drone operations site. The only FYI worth the mention is that you need to be aware that the final mile-plus of road is primitive and nowhere near code. You need a SUV or truck (preferably 4WD). The first time you encounter it you likely will be intimidated and wonder if you've followed directions correctly. Just relax, take it slow, keep an eye out for the big rocks that will rip out an oil pan if you don't have the clearance, and hum a few bars from 'Deliverance'. If you've never been here, I highly recommend that you do NOT arrive in the dark. The Junction is well lit and you won't miss it.

This cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and the creek was so amazing to just sit and watch. The kitchen was extremely well stocked for cooking, directions to get to the cabin were easy to follow, overall just an amazing place. Had everything we needed and was the perfect getaway. We will be coming back in the future!
