The Hobbit House - Romance Straight From The Shire

The house is cute property is semi secluded but has 3 other rentals within 200yards. The bed is very uncomfortable we live close so we decided to leave early after only staying one night. Impossible to keep the floor dry if raining but it is stone and doesnt hurt anything other than you can expect to have wet socks or be barefoot.

Very unique and beautiful space. Immaculately clean. However, the heater was extremely loud, keeping me awake most of the night. The substantial outdoor lighting stayed on all night and couldn't be controlled meaning the inside was quite bright and little could be seen out of the very cute roof portal While the property doesn't provide firewood, there was none to be purchased anywhere nearby in the winter, so we couldn't enjoy the fire pit. Overall a unique experience, but a poor night's sleep and a feeling that we probably over paid.

Very unique and fun property in a pretty, quiet setting. My only problems were that the gravel road to access the property is a bit rough and finding the right driveway can be a little tricky, especially if not arriving in full daylight. The directions provided by the property were great but Google Maps seemed to be pinpointed to another driveway for some related properties a couple hundred yards down the road.

Great, snug getaway in the Laurel Highlands. Very well presented and as described. Woukd highly recommend.

Kitchen had the essentials, though one of the two hot plates didn't work for us. Could have been user error.

It was such an adorable cabin and was perfect for a quiet winter getaway. The only downside and i mean *ONLY* is the lack of hooks to dry towels. After using the hot tub and showering, we had towels hanging everywhere inside because it was 12 degrees out and would freeze if we tried to hang them outside. Otherwise it had all the basic amenities you could need for a relaxing stay.

Yes, the host sent several emails and messages. If going in the winter, make sur cat is a four wheel vehicle.

Host was very good at communication and the house was extremely clean and welcoming. Hot tube was also very clean. Great place to stay if you want to relax.

The check-in and check-out process were both super easy, all the information was sent in advance for our stay and communication was excellent. We were given the option to extend our stay in advance if we wanted, there were optional add ons. Easiest process ever! The stay was amazing, everything was just as described at the Hobbit Hut! Loved our stay!

The property was quaint and remote, and it was exactly what we had hoped it would be. The time we spent was short, but we enjoyed everything from sitting outside out by the pond through the woodworking of the house. I would recommend this to anyone, and especially those who are Lord of the Rings fans!

This cottage/cabin in the woods is adorable and my teen and I loved watching the night sky and the storms through the glass ceiling. The hot tub overlooking the pond was great.

The property is well maintained and the Hobbit House is adorable.

We had a great time at the Hobbit House! Place was clean, tidy, and smelled great! Not sure if this is typical, but firewood was placed in the fire pit ready to be started. Only downside is it was difficult to keep the bugs out.

This was a nice little getaway for a few days.Enjoyed the falls and hiking. The hot tub at our site was great for relaxing after a day of exploring the are.

This was the most perfect and cutest little place we have ever stayed. I loved the architecture, the skylight and whole vide of the area. We will definitely be visiting/staying here again when we need to get away from life.

The Hobbit House was every bit as charming as I hoped it would be. The grounds surrounding were just lovely. Lots of nature oriented things to do. We had a great time. The owners may want to spray inside and outside for bugs. We expected to have some insects due to the environment, but we had quite a few. Also a broom around the ceiling beams wounYY/THE ⁰0

Charming little place in a beautiful surrounding, with a little pond right outside the door and the nice sound of peepers at night.

It was a cozy and clean room to stay in. Very cool architecture. The hot tub was a plus. A lot of things to see and do nearby, with a nice choice of restaurants within 15 minutes.

This was such a perfect place for my husband and I to get away for our anniversary. Check in was easy and the instructions were clear. The place was clean and really set up with everything that we needed. The location was gorgeous and within driving distance from a bunch of fun things to do. We would highly recommend this!

We came to the Hobbit House for a late Valentine’s getaway. It was cute, romantic and did not disappoint. We loved the attention to detail and the hot tub was fabulous! Check-in to Check-out was flawless. We will be back!

We had a lovely anniversary in the Hobbit house. It was clean and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the heaters and the hot tub while it was snowy and cold.

The Hobbit House was great! The WiFi didn’t work very well but not anyone’s fault. The property manager had great communication and answered me via text message promptly. Overall we had a great night and the property was amazing. Also great location to casino.

Loved the little place. Beautiful area, overall great time there only thing I would change is the mattress. I prefer a very soft one and this one was very firm.

this was a trip for a friend and I! Just to get away and relax.. unwind! ended up bringing a third at the last minute that was just having a really hard time! we had the best time!! the place is so cute! hot tub was fabulous! the property is just amazing! so beautiful! I live close and this was so worth it! we felt like we were secluded and just had the world to ourselves!! I plan to return! I also plan to stay at other properties owned by the same! all so perfect in their own ways! DO IT!! NO REGRETS! ... it is small.. bring extra bedding/ pillows. we discovered you can see in the shower from the main room! ha!! we laughed so hard!! just hang a towel.. no worries!! definitely gave us another laugh! we didn't get to enjoy the fire pit... but it's awesome! if you want to grill... bring starter! we had no lighter fluid but we made it work! lol free wifi was great! tv... to chill before sleeping... very little... we just wanted to enjoy every moment! really terrific spot!

This was probably the best vacation rental we have ever been to. It was snowy and cold when we went, but we were still able to enjoy the hot tub and use the grill. The star gazing window inside was our favorite part even though the night didn’t allow for many stars to be seen. We 100% fully intend on coming back to this location in the summer when we can go rafting and try out some of the other activities around the area. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Very relaxing time

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful cabin! The area is picturesque and quiet. Even though the weather was snowier and colder than we were hoping for, everything about the property was perfect!

A great time in Farmington! We were the only ones renting during our stay, so being in the area alone was a little spooky at times. But the property was delightful, had great accommodations in a small package, and wonderful sights and hikes were close by. Would certainly go again

My wife LOVES LOTR, So this little hovbit house was a nice day away for some R&R!

This house is even more amazing in person! I rented the Hobbit House for a mini getaway and birthday escape for my boyfriend, and it was perfect. The home is absolutely gorgeous, with a cozy cabin feel, stone flooring, a beautiful bathroom sink, a mini kitchen, a hot tub, and a fire pit outside. The property is maintained by the wonderful team at Ohiopyle Rentals, and a special shoutout to the maintenance staff I had the pleasure of meeting during our stay. The grounds are impeccably kept. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with the location, home, and staff for this rental.

We had a very nice stay and enjoyed it very much. Suggestions. - The bed is very firm. Could use a 2” topper. - 2 more pillows would have been nice - Need shim the toilet from rocking before it breaks.
