Lovely little spot on top of the mountain. I chose this property because of the unobstructed view from the back porch and it did not disappoint. It's a cozy little space inside with plenty of comfort for a couple's getaway. Nicely clean. Close to Mentone's shops and restaurants.

Quite a joyful spot

The view is one of the most stunning views!!!The hot tub is very, very nice. Especially overlooking the mountains.Very clean, well equipt, wonderful mattress, very convenient to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will see ya next year.

We book this cabin for our 5 year anniversary! We thoughly enjoyed everything about our stay and we will be coming back!

Had a great time , was able to kick back and relax without the feeling of having to be somewhere all the time. Got to spend good quality time with my wife and our 42nd anniversary we were able to talk and fall in love all over again. It is truly the hideaway.

Good place to stay for a couple looking to get away. You will enjoy the view with peace and quiet. Sunsets are gorgeous along with watching rain and fog roll through the valley from the hot tub or just chilling on the porch. Communication was great as well. No issues at all.

My wife and I went to visit for the weekend and had a wonderful getaway! The view is spectacular and the cabin is cozy. Everything was very clean and the communication from the manager was outstanding. We hope to go back again.

Perfect little spot for our honeymoon we never had. We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin and the little town of mentone. I highly suggest making dinner reservations for the restaurants in town prior to arrival. Also look up the time of sunset and plan to sit In the hot tub for 1 hour before and after to really enjoy it. We will never forget the experience and we will be back!!!

We had a great time and enjoyed the cabin and wonderful view. The cabin was very convenient to the little town of Mentone ( just down the road). The hot tub and back porch were an added delight! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect cabin for a family of 3 with a small pup! Upstairs bed was so comfortable! Had everything we needed to cook & grill, plenty of bath towels. Just book this cabin, you won’t regret it! & make sure you pack binoculars!

I liked it so well that I am going back again this year. The cabin is perfect for a small group of 4 or 5. The kitchen is a very simple mix of modern appliances and rustic build. But the balcony and that view! Mesmerizing. Living room is more than adequate and the fireplace is cozy and warm! Internet was alright for what we needed. Of course you have a w/d and a nice bath. ? I can't wait to get there!

Very remote but not so far away from civilization (lol). Peace and quiet 24 hrs a day. Whether sitting on the back porch in the morning, daytime, or evening the view is one of a kind. Very safe for our Yorkie. The cabin was just the right size with all the amenities you could possibly need. Do pay attention to notes given on tips of things to bring (food items) unless you plan on taking a little ride. Hostess was so quick to respond it was unbelievable and refreshing.

The Hideaway at Mentone was the perfect location for our honeymoon. We loved all the features and amenities of the cabin. The bed is firm and incredibly comfortable. The gas fireplace gives off substantial heat, rendering a cozy vibe befitting of such a wonderful cabin. My husband absolutely fell in love with the whirlpool tub in the living room. Of course, the show stopper is taking in the sunset from the hot tub on the balcony. The surrounding countryside is beyond spectacular. There are nature trails and waterfalls close by at DeSoto Park and Little River Canyon Preserve. If you've had your fill of hiking, Sand Mountain is only ~30-45 minutes south of Mentone and an ideal place for a slow, tranquil drive through the farmlands of Northeast Alabama. We highly recommend Delightful Retreats and Mentone, AL for any reason you're vacationing. We will be back.
