The Hemlock | Hocking Hills, Romantic, Hot Tub

Everything was great. We are both seniors. At the top of the stairs it’s hard to see the first couple steps when you go down to the first floor. Could use a light at the top like it does at the bottom. Otherwise great vacation.

Secluded, very clean and inviting. Has three floors with pool table on bottom one. Cozy floor plan layout. Had everything we needed. Only negative is the water had a bad sulfur odor, and carried through entire cabin. The driveway was so steep I could not drive my car up so I had to park at bottom near dumpsters.

Cabin was great, the water smell needs work, I’d recommend bathrobe hangers near hot tub but will definitely book this cabin again in the future

Cabin was nice, kitchen well stocked for use, pool table in basement was a nice amenity. Scenery after a night snowfall was BEAUTIFUL. Biggest concerns with our weekend stay. Water smell is a issue. I have lived on well water for 60 years so I am aware of hardness issues. So glad we brought a case of water. Bed was firmer than my liking and couch cushions appear to be broken down. Hot Tub Jet 2 button doesn't work.

Cute cabin with all the amenities to be comfortable, cook a nice meal, relax, etc. The property is in a good location and is quite beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub a lot. It was nice sitting outside and looking at the snow from the hot tub. We enjoyed multiple days of winter hiking in the area and also a very relaxing day in the cabin.I only gave 4 stars for one particular reason. Upon opening the door to the cabin, at arrival, the smell of rotten eggs, which came from the water, hits you in the face. That smell NEVER goes away in this cabin. We had to purchase air fresheners in order to escape the smell. I know firsthand there are ways to combat this issue. I grew up in the country with well water. We would, however, book this cabin again if the water issue was resolved.

The cabin was very clean as well as the hot tub. The hot tub temperature was locked at 104 making it too hot to stay in for very long, or just keeping your legs in the water. We were unable to change the temperature of it. There was a strong smell of sulfur when using the sinks, shower and even flushing the toilet. The bed was very firm making it uncomfortable to sleep in. While we did have a great time and the cleanliness was up to par, the few inconveniences can make a stay uncomfortable.

Everything was nice except the smell of the water and the water leak in the basement.

Everything we needed was pretty much provided. The cabin was very clean, warm inside with cold temperatures outside and comfortable bed. We wished there was information to tell us what channels we could get on the television. On thanksgiving day we could only get one of the three nfl games being broadcast. We were not knowledgeable about Roku. Written information would have been helpful. It would be nice to have a chair in the bedroom.

Everything was perfect amenities were Great! Hot tub was great cabin was great pool table was great. Our only complaint was the water it had a smell n a color.

Beautiful cabin for a great getaway weekend. The hot tub was so relaxing after our hikes. WiFi worked great & we were able to connect to our Hulu to watch a movie at night. The only complaint I have is the bed was more firm than I care for & it would be nice to have blinds of some kind for the back porch where the hot tub is, just to block the sun setting.

The quiet atmosphere surrounded by nature cannot be understated.

This is a beautiful property; I would highly recommend this location!

Check in was great! Everything was clean and cozy! We had a small hiccup with the wifi password , but they handled it quickly. The only other thing was the water, it was very irony but other then that a great stay at a great location

The property needs a little bit more loving. We were made aware 2 days before arrival that the hot tub was not functioning, which was an amenity that we were looking forward to. We were offered a minimal discount or could move to another property, but for an additional charge. We took the discount. The dining room table was not wiped off. There were tiny bugs in the sink in the bathroom and on the kitchen counter. The cable did not work the entire last night of our stay. The water, i would suggest, not to use to cook with it. It has a smell and it even turned the white wash cloth a rust color. Overall, the cabin could have been taken care of and cleaned more thoroughly.

The property was as expected. But there were a few things that could have been improved. The place desperately needs a water softener to remove the iron and there were a lot of gnats flying around.(mostly in the kitchen and bathroom) We found dirty dishes in the dishwasher(not sure how long they had been there), but other than that the place seemed clean. The bed was comfortable.

Very nice cabin with a beautiful setting. Definitely needs water filtration to cook with as water very rusty. Oddly had no screens when we were there. These items held me back from giving it 5 stars

Nice place. Good location. The water was rusty but we brought our own water for drinking and cooking. The wifi was out the whole time which was a bit annoying but we really didn't need it. We would stay there again.

We had an amazing time at hemlock! My only down side we had was the smelly hard water! Everything else was absolutely perfect!

The water was horrible along with the smell. The driveway was horrible. Couch needs replaced along with the grill that was gross and would light.

It was a really good location in relation to the hiking around! It was a clean and cute cabin! Only issue was chlorine was really strong in the hot tub and the grill did not work. But overall, a great stay!

Everything was fantastic all but the water smelled terrible and was very rusty, the grill burner was terrible and full of greas, other then that what a beautiful stay at our house, very private, clean and fun

We loved the cleanliness, coziness, and the scenery! The hot tub was amazing and everything was stocked upon arrival!

The cabin was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Some things I wish we knew no lighter for fire pit, the wifi user name should have been more clear for sign.

After a busy time we just need to be away and be off the grid for a few days. This place did it for us. We had all the things we needed and the privacy to just spend time reconnecting to simplicity and each other. We will plan to do this again.

Very nice cozy cabin.

Couldn’t drive up the driveway due to no one cleaning the snow from the property. Paid all this money just to walk up and down the street in six inches of snow multiple times. Wish they would have called someone to remove the snow so we could have drove!

Besides some minor issues that came up (and discussed with host), I had a really great time. The location is super close to anything you may need (about a 15 min drive) but it’s a remote and quiet location. For a typical plush beef sleeper, the bed was actually quite comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this listing to other people.

No, not as enjoyable as we planned. Hot tub broke 1st night and took 2 days to get someone to respond and send maintenance to tell us it can't be fixed. No response from rental office, host or vrbo. Unprofessional! We paid alot of money for a stay with hot tub as part of the package. I will be leaving a review for sure!

Just what we needed. Clean, everything worked, comfy beds and nice clean hot tub. We loved it!

Nice size for 2, which is hard to find in HH. This cabin has potential to be great, but needs some remodeling and decor changes. You should also note that a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended.

Cabin was clean. Pool table is nice but the triangle is held together with electrical tape & cues need new tips. Radio only works if you have aux cord & basement blinds are missing wand to open them. Light above kitchen sink only worked sometimes & is not fully attached to wall. Railing to go upstairs is loose. Front steps are very loose. Hot tub was nice but missing cover for the recirculation & kept sucking in the leg of my boyfriends trunks. Roadway is very narrow and driveway is very steep.

The bed way comfortable and everything was clean. We always try to stay at places with hot tubs, and this one was perfectly located. I am happy that my non-4wd vehicle made it up the driveway.

The cabin was very warm and inviting, well maintained and clean. Very beautiful surroundings, would definitely recommend and plan to return next year.

The place was as described. It was very very clean. It was remote but not far away from amenities. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, pans and such. Beautiful grounds. We were not able to have a fire due to restrictions, but firewood was there. Plenty of hot water for showers. Will definitely stay with the same company when we come back 5 stars!

The ambiance of the place. Secluded, oxygen, clean, well appointed. Need to repair front stairs. Staff coffee in the cabin. We left behind a full coffee package in the cupboard.

The cabin was nice & all, but not sure if it was worth all the money I spent on it. The location and things to do in the area was great, though. Just beware that you have to leave the cabin almost spotless otherwise you get charged even more money for another cleaning fee. The electric ignition for the propane grill does NOT work. You'll have to light it yourself with your own lighter (couldn't find one in the cabin). The staff will not answer the phone or call you back if you have problems, too

The TV was never able to connect to directTV. The hot tub flipped the breaker the 2nd night and we couldn’t get it to work. I sent a message to the host and he said he would send a maintenance request. Otherwise the cabin was nice. Clean. The drive to the cabin is a little treacherous with very narrow roads and a steep driveway.

I was very happy with our accommodations. Although the grill didn’t work, the coffee maker had residue in it, and some of the silverware needed washed again, the overall stay was nice! The linens were clean, the hot tub already warm, and settling in was easy! Could have used with some butter, oil and some wine glasses.

The cabin was perfect. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication was quick. It was secluded and peaceful, we would definitely stay again.

Cabin was nice other than not being able to see at night outside. Couldn’t have a bonfire unless it was daylight. The interior was very clean but very dark. We had to constantly have the lights on to see even if it was med day. It was decorated strangely with a tropical theme. You’d think they’d have a forest theme being a wood cabin. The shower sprayed all over the wall and ceiling. The water smelled like rotten eggs in the bathroom. The pool table was a fun activity. Bed was comfy but no chair

We were so pleased with the location and the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Very clean. We grilled steaks on the grill. The wi-fi sucked. But who needs to be on their phone when God has given you so much beauty! ❤ a

This was an amazing place that was well-kept and secluded. The hot tub was clean, the fire pit was well-kept and beautifully located. We felt isolated and private and yet the cabin was easily accessible to many things nearby. We fished at Lake Logan, hiked at Old Man's Cave, and golfed at Hocking Hills Golf Club. All of this was within 15-20 min drive.

We rented out this Cabin for the weekend and it was beautiful! It is in a great location, with lots of things to do around. 10/10 would rent again.
