The Fish and Ski Lodge

This was a getaway for 3 women looking for a river view and hot tub. What we received was nothing like the pictures and description presented. The first thing we noticed was the musty smell as soon as you walk in the front door. I would definitely have someone check the property for mold!. With a smell that strong, something is wrong and needs to be fixed before continuing to rent it to others.Secondly, when we were looking for the bedrooms, we found a full size bedroom up the 6 stairs but the other “2 bedrooms” in the listing were in the basement. The stairway down was very narrow and the handrail is a rope which is not safe for young kids or older adults. The listing should be updated to provide this information going forward.What is advertised and listed as a 3 bedroom home is actually a one bedroom with a basement that is being advertised as 2 bedrooms but isn’t. As you walk down the stairs, there is an area with a bed and to the left is the bathroom. Past the bed is a separate bedroom. So the person that is actually in the 2nd bedroom has to walk through the space of the supposedly 3rd bedroom to get to the bathroom. Needless to say, there was a lack of privacy and this property should not be listed as a three bedroom! Taking a shower in the downstairs bathroom is a crap shoot. You will either freeze or scald yourself while trying to negotiate the pebble rock flooring. Coffee pot was broke. Not worth the price paid! Very disappointed.

Great little birthday getaway! Will definitely consider going back again for a staycation.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. I thought the cabin was incredible the woodwork and the stained glass and the handpainted tiles and everything we needed was at our fingertips from my laundry detergent, dish dishwashing detergent, and it was tucked in and felt like a really nice little hideaway we just enjoyed it.

The property was beautiful and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. It is tucked away but still very accessible to Hot Springs restaurants and attractions.

This was a great space for a geta way! Loved the easy access to the water. Location was prime, easy to get into town or to other areas for hiking. Definitely would book again!

We had a great stay! We enjoyed the hot tub, scenery, privacy and over all had a great time! We didn’t utilize the canoe but it was nice to have one for those who do. Just a beautiful place to stay!

Location is fantastic, very peaceful. We had a difficult time finding the home our first day of arrival, maybe additional instructions would have helped.

Amazing place to stay.

The family loved the stay. They enjoyed the view, sitting down on the patio, fishing, hot tub and the interior of the place. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Wifi didn't work but it was an issue with AT&T, still it was good to get disconnected :)

Loved this spot! The hot tub and the views from the deck were incredible! The fishing lodge look was also incredibly charming!

The Fish and Ski cabin was exactly what we were hoping for - a rustic river font hideaway that was still close enough to downtown Hot Springs for multiple trips a day. We loved the riverfront access, the view from the hot tub, and the craftsmanship of the cabin itself.

A kitschy well thought out wonderful view gem of a place! It’s tucked back so far, you feel like you are the only people in the world.

What a beautiful and unique cabin feel and look! We loved the detail of this place. Being right on the water was wonderful and the hot tub was also a huge plus. Susan was great! Very helpful with any questions and quick to respond. So glad we got the opportunity to stay here and would love to bring the family back when the grands are a little bigger.

If you are looking for a great place to stay, book this one. The location was the best. It is so convenient to get anywhere in the area. The water is amazing. We canoed every day. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 5.The host was awesome. We were pointed towards some freat restaurants. Highly recommended- i wish we could give more than 5 stars.

We had an amazing trip. Everything exceeded our expectation's. The most perfect location and the most amazing house. Very private, surrounded by nature and right on the water which is exactly what we wished for. It had everything we needed and more. The views were breathtaking. We enjoyed canoeing, relaxing in the hot tub, bird and watching, spotting deer, fishing and just sitting out on the lower deck by the water. I would go back 100 times. Loved every bit of our trip and it was exactly what we needed. Probably one of my favorite vacations ever.

Was a great stay overall. Only downside was we were hoping to float in the river every day but the water was extremely cold. Electricity went out for about 8 hours due to a fallen tree but didn’t impact our fun.

My wife and i absolutely loved this home. Everytime about it was just so amazing. The cell service was non existent and the wifi was close to non existent, but its exactly what we needed. It was the perfect break we didnt know we needed. We will most definitely be back towards the fall to stay again!

Due to inclement weather we were not able to come. There were tornado warnings and flooding. The host was understanding about our choice to stay home and made it right and let us reschedule! Excited about our future stay

We enjoyed the lake view! The Kayak and canoe were an added bonus. We will miss the evenings in the hot tub. There are so many amenities inside and everything had adorable cabin touches.

Our stay was so relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, relaxing, and BBQ. Weather was nice and cool at night enough to enjoy the hot tub. We even got to see some deer! This place is beautiful with great view of the river. We will definitely be coming back.

Location was great, property needs a bit of exterior maintenance, amenities were not as described. Could not cook on “BBQ grill”, toaster did not work, internet access/wifi was virtually non existent and zero cellular service made things a challenge….. could not access meetings for work. Satellite reception was spotty and could not utilize “smart tv” due to lack of wifi.
