The only drawback was we were only staying one night! This is a great place for both long and short stays. It gave us a night to recharge (thanks to hot tub and comfy bed) and do our laundry before heading on to our next destination. Near the park while being secluded and restful. Hosts have thought of everything!

Nice place for a reasonable price. We would definitely stay again, we much preferred this over the last place we stayed in the area. The only thing I wish they had was an EV charger, but that’s a pretty niche need.

Such a lovely property! Everything was clean and very well put together. The hot tub was amazing and we for sure utilized it during our stay. Loved the snack basket, coffee station and all of the appliances that were provided! Made us feel like we were at home and allowed us to not worry about having to bring in anything extra. Definitely returning in the near future!

Everything from A-Z was incredible, and the hosts are incredibly proactive and communicative, and stock the house with everything you could ever need. The cleanliness organization of everything was top-notch. I would highly recommend the Dovetail Den to anyone looking for a cozy trip to the mountains.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dovetail Den, the only problem was that it wasn't long enough! Luckily this is right in our back yard so to speak so we will be returning again. This is such a cute and comfortable cabin, perfect for a romantic getaway or just to relax. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great with communication and always quick to respond. Everything you could need is provided.

This is a pristine home in a beautiful wooded location adjacent to Mt Rainier National Park. The cabin was comfortable and homey with all the amenities needed and then some additional thoughtful touches. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck surrounded by lush forest…perfect after a long day. Dovetail Den is the quintessential serene cabin in the woods with lovely interior and everything you need. Modern shower, comfy bed and living area furniture. Only 6 miles to Nisqually entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. We did hikes every day to waterfalls and spectacular wildflowers near Paradise. The kitchen is a cook’s delight. We also highly recommend Copper Creek Inn and Wildberry restaurants. Thank you Patrick and Anita for a most memorable stay.

This was an absolutely perfect rental property experience. We’ve stayed in dozens, not just on VRBO but through Airbnb and private rental companies, and while we’ve made lots of great memories, we’ve never before had such a completely perfect stay from start to finish. There were so many amazing small details like the spa towels for the hot tub, the charging station for all your devices, the hiking poles for your use. The cabin was beautifully designed and so cozy, with the electric fireplace and bench seating at the windows. The bed was super comfy and so was the couch. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Shower pressure was perfect. Laundry room thoughtfully included pods, although we only used the dryer, that’s a nice touch. The water dispenser was GREAT! Thank you for that! We super appreciated the snack basket as we had several travel difficulties that day and were too late to grab dinner, everything had closed. Thank you so much for an amazing experience and wonderful first night of our trip. I wish we could go back.

Wow! I can’t believe how beautiful this space was. Everything was BRAND new and we wanted for nothing. After hiking, we were able to easily cook dinner because this space is incredibly well stocked. It was in a great location right near town and just outside the national park gates!Don’t miss this place!
