The Desperado Inn is a charming secluded cabin with Mountain Fork River access

The cabin was cute .. we enjoyed the river and outdoor fire pit. The cabin is stocked with a lot to cook , but coffee was missing. Bring your own .. there’s a dollar general and general store nearby . Areas to improve- the towels were not fresh.. they smelled mildewy and the full bed mattresses were not comfortable.

Overall the place was not clean.

cabin was beautifully decorated, loved it. the host was amazing and quick to respond to messages. wasn't as secluded as we thought it would be. we had to leave early because of family emergency otherwise it was a great place.

Nice stay close to everything we even had a sweet dog that would stop by in the morning and then in the evening over all it was a nice time

Great little cabin in a very remote area. The drive back and forth to broken bow lake was little more than we intended it to be. Great access to the river and all the amenities needed to have a great time.

Good, quiet place for relaxation. Host very responsive. Kitchen well stocked. Need to put up more signs and let people know that the roads are rough and best suited to a truck or SUV.

The property was great. I love that there was a river within walking distance as well.

Clean place with fun decorations. The TV wasn't working, and they sent someone out at 9pm to swap it out! Super awesome.

Great communication. Cabin was perfect and just what I expected. Loved everything about it and the surrounding area. Would love to stay again in the future.

Very well kept property. We felt right at home. Short drive to Broken Bow. Super close to the river as it’s a short walk or drive. The master bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I had to switch to the other bedroom. Other than that, everything worked out well for our trip and we enjoyed the house and property!

We had an amazing time staying at this place. Very relaxing. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and everything was in order. Thank you to the host for making us feel at home.

Pros: Directions and accessibility were clear and simple. Bathrooms seemed recently updated and were very clean and well stocked. Clean, functional, covered hot tub. Huge, solid fire pit. Bench swing. Cozy and rustic furnishings. Adequate electronics and appliances. Plenty of kitchen accessories and had a large, deep sink. Easy walk down to the rivers edge. Cons: There were only a few sleeping pillows available, and they were very thin. Only two kitchen trash bags were provided for our 3 night stay, and they were extremely thin and low quality. They tore open just pulling them out of the can to take them outside. Bbq grill has some rusted out parts on the gas side. It was hard to adjust the flame and impossible to spread it out, but we made it work as we were just grilling a few brats. There was a large pile of fire logs available to burn, but they were wet and not seasoned. Fishing this time of year is not great due to the river being high and right at the steep brush covered banks. Maybe it is better in the summer when it might be lower?Cabin was great overall, we spent our Thanksgiving there! Drove up about 4 hours from the dfw area, and we would definitely consider booking it again. Thank you!

The cabin is down a lovely dirt road that transitions into the secluded environment well. The kitchen is stocked with many seasonings and cooking supplies for all of the meals—the rooms are both decorated beautifully and are very cleanly.

Our stay was great! Very clean and had plenty of room for our kids to run. The fire pit was great for making smores and cooking supper. Best part was the fire wood already being available for us!

Roomy cabin with excellent décor. Fantastic air conditioning. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit. Got many pictures of birds and butterflies at the river access. Great stay!

The property was perfect!! We arrived late at night and it was a bit difficult to find, once through the gate. But the place was great! Hot Tub worked great! Beautiful location. There were other homes closer than what appeared in the aerial view, while booking. But they are far enough away that you have zero interaction! There were deer all over the property and the river was too far to get to! Place was clean and very comfortable! Perfect stay!

A bit diappointed. Misleading. Inside cabin was clean except for the screened front porch. Unuseable. To much clutter. Hot tub needs to be on a deck and more accessable. It was more of a deer camp atmosphere instead of a vacation rental. Bottom of fire pit rusted out. Propane bottles for grill were empty. Don't get me wrong, the inside of the cabin was nice and clean but the rest took away from it. Needs to be updated and maintained. Just expected more. Easy access to the river

Property was clean, decorated well, and nothing was left out. We planned to go to the grocery store when we got there, but realized there was not one close by. So we were happy the cupboard was already stocked with things. The next morning, we picked up what we needed at the Dollar General and Country Store next door (they had the veggies). If you aren’t wanting to be next to other campers, this is perfect. We wanted seclusion. We were not able to get the wifi to work, so no tv. But who needs tv? We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Having kids and no WiFi was a frustrating experience. Not having phone signal due to no WiFi was horrible

Very quiet and secluded. The cabin is set up very nicely and the beds are comfortable. There are deer and fireflies all over the pasture in the evening and the views are spectacular.The patio was a bit disheveled and the fan did not work, but overall I didn’t mind that much. We did meet a very sweet and playful dog one evening, which I enjoyed, but people who are afraid of dogs might have trouble with it. I plan to stay here again when it’s cooler outside.

Front patio was messy, few cigarette butts here and there outside, overall cleanliness can be improved outside cabin. Inside cabin was great.

This place is absolutely breath taking for a romantic get away .

The property is nice and the home is a cute western theme. The river is just a short walk from the home. It is very remote and quiet. We had a visit from a neighboring pitbull. He was a sweetie and played with the 15 year old in our group.

We had a blast cabin was amazing

The facility was nice and relaxing. Amenities were accurate to the description. The hot tub and firepit were nice amenities. The check-in process was a little frustrating due to lack of communication about entry gate and code. Make sure to save all check-in data as cellular service is limited.

It was beautiful, perfect anniversary trip! Trent was very helpful. Mr Mike was very nice & and I love his place.

If you are looking for a chance to be in nature and just relax this is perfect. The stars were so bright and beautiful at night! The river is close and calm enough to wade in or paddle board. The fire pit was nice and they had everything there to help you start a fire. Each room had their own heater/AC which made it nice to customize your environment. The only thing that we questioned was the fridge didn’t seem to feel cool at first but after a while it kept our items chilled. The neighbor had a dog that was friendly but did like to come up to the cabin and play with us outside. So if you are afraid of dogs just know that he is there. Was friendly but hyper. Overall a nice place to escape from the city.

We came to be alone, and that is what we got. The road in was rough but manageable for sure. The cabin was exactly as listed. Listening to the nearby river plus stargazing was glorious. Rustic but relaxing. Thanks for a great place to unwind.

Nice quiet cabin off the beaten path.

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving here. We loved how quiet it was and that we were able to relax. The cabin is cute and cozy! However I do feel it’s false advertising. The kayaks are locked up and we were told they are for the owners use, the picnic area did have some beautiful sites but the brush is so over grown it was hard to see and made it unable to fish. When we first arrived we had to do some clean up of our own cause there was trash all over the screened in porch and old food left open in the fridge. Once we cleaned up we did really enjoy our stay. The hot tub was a nice way to end our evening’s!

Location was remote but provided lots of quiet. Walks around the property in the natural outdoors was great.

My husband and I stayed this past weekend and absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay. It rained on and off most of the trip but it didn't stop us from having a good time. A photo lovers dream here!

This property is secluded and peaceful. The outdoor area with the swing and hot tub were nice. The kitchen had all dishes and utinsels for basic cooking. There was a dollar store close by which came in handy. Accessing the property- We thought we were lost because the gate to enter said private property no trespassing. The details to access the the property with the gate code were sent shortly before check-in. I didn't realize you needed a code to the gate. I had the information to the enter the home. I had no wifi to send and receive messages. Thank god my partner did. We did get a quick response with help in accessing the property. The property did not have WiFi which was fine for us but I have never experienced that. I was also a bit taken back to find food in the pantry, fridge and freezer. I have always had to take all my items at check-out.
