The Blue Sky Bungalow: A-frame/Lake Access/Firepit

Great cabin in a great location. Came for spring break with the kids. We hiked, we fished, we relaxed in the hammock, we had a fire. This place is lovely! 10 out of 10 - will come back again!

Everything was perfect!! We had the best time and lots of laughs playing games!!

Host was great, amenities were all in great shape. Really enjoyed the fireplace. We will be back.

Cozy and exactly as advertised

The Kitchen was very will stocked. Only found one dish towel, but I may have not looked in the right place.Bedroom perfect. House is older, but that was no problem. Our dog, Bernie, non-shedding, accompanied us. Small hand vacuum didn't seem to operate.It had been snowing and it was good to have salt already spread on the deck and steps. Nice neighborhood for walking.

The house was very comfortable and cozy. We had trouble getting into the neighborhood due to icy roads but full time residents there were so kind and helped us out. The host was kind and called the president of the HOA to find out what time the roads would be treated in the morning so the rest of our group could finish the drive from Frostburg where they stopped for night due to snow. The host also made sure to let me know that Walmart would deliver groceries so I didn't have to worry about going back out in the snow the next day. Very helpful because I never would have even thought of it. We even got a phone call from Macy (host) on morning #2 to be sure all was well. The deck has a gate at the top of the stairs which was awesome for our dogs to be able to go out and play in the snow while we stayed warm inside. The fireplace was easy to use and really made the common areas cozy and relaxing. The neighborhood was nice for walking the dogs but be ready for the little hills which were great for the dogs and kids but a little challenging for us older folks with bad knees walking on ice. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to feed our group of 6. A nice touch was the towels on the beds and bottles of water left for each of us to get us started. I would definitely book another stay here but I will make sure I'm more prepared for icy roads if we book in the winter! I must say, the snow blanketing the area made for a very pretty setting.

Pros: comfortable beds, kitchen fully stocked, games available. Location was convenient and within 20-25 minutes of most activities. Very quiet setting. Cons: no shovel (we had six inches of snow) - There was not a poker for the fireplace. The kitchen was small for a group of people. It was crowded with two people cooking. More seating needed in living room for 5 adults. There was one sofa (two seats) and 2 chairs. firewood was laying on the ground outside (wet) and not stacked so we had to buy three bundles of wood. Overall, it was a nice cabin to spend the partial week and New Years Eve. The upstairs room was nice for privacy. The two downstairs rooms were comfortable.

Fireplace was great! Kitchen well stocked. Nice blankets, cozy and comfortable for a weekend getaway! Close enough to restaurants, far enough from crowds!

We had a comfortable, quiet, relaxing, care-free stay! It a cute cabin in a great neighborhood. Owners are very responsive and considerate.

Check in was very easy and simple for anyone to use. Kitchen had everything and more than expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and location of Blue Sky! Lake access in the community was a real plus and proximity to Oakland, McHenry and DCL State Park was terrific. Highly recommend!

It was perfect for our purpose. We were looking for a place that was quiet and dog friendly. For birthday celebration, this property checked all the boxes

This is a great cabin. Kids loved the loft area. Comfortable beds and furniture. A lot of nice touches including Keurig with pods, shampoo dispensers in showers, and a well stocked kitchen. Would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Our family decided on an impromptu ski trip over the holiday and were so lucky to find this cozy home! We had lots of snow on the way up and were happy to enjoy a fire and the scenery. The host was great- she was very communicative and flexible when our plans changed. The house had everything we needed ! We hope to visit again in warmer weather!

Lots of quiet time to sleep in, plenty of games, Best place we found around Deep Creek after several years of not good rentals prior.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Beautiful and clean accommodations and very receptive owners. i highly recommend. It is a very peaceful and tranquil setting.

We stayed here for a quick two days, wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was great. Quick communication, clean, nice amenities, and loved that it was pet friendly. Our whole family really enjoyed our stay!

It was a wonderful vacation. It was more for our dog than for us. He needed a place to go run and play and chase other animals which she got to do for a couple of days and also we got to go to the state parks and do a little bit of swimming. It was awesome, will do it again soon

We checked in for a long weekend that included a football game in Morgantown WV on Saturday. Guys golfed Friday and we explored the area- having lunch and drinks at silver tree Thursday, then unos on Friday, with a short visit to Honi-Honi. Game day was an easy one hour drive to Morgantown and a win for Penn Staye! Blue sky bungalow was perfect for the four of us. Hosts were responsive and it was a great way to kick off the football season!

Lovely location, the neighborhood had lots of amenities that were kid friendly. Short drive to other places in the area. Clean cabin and very kind host.

Blue Sky is in a very nice, friendly community. We felt comfortable and safe. We took several walks around the community and it was very relaxing. It is only a 10 minute walk to the fishing pond and lake. The accommodations were perfect for our family. The cabin was clean, well maintained and felt like home. If we would have been able to stay longer we would have. Definitely going to book again.
