Stayed Jul 24, 2020Hospitality was beyond expectations from cleanliness to great conversations with Jim and Pam. They were very accommodating, and even got us outdoor seating with water view at a very great restaurant- The Black Bear. The Bears Den park-like setting is absolutely stunning with plethora of beautiful landscaping. I enjoyed coffee with relaxing on the hammock listening to the nature surrounding. I highly recommend and I can't wait to go back!

Stayed May 25, 2019My husband and I absolutely loved our time away at the Bear's Den for our 20th anniversary. Jim and Pam were so friendly and welcoming. They have created a cozy, comfortable cottage perfect for a couple wishing to take a break, enjoy the Adirondacks, and participate in the local scene. There was so much detail put into creating a cottage and amenities that addressed every little need we might have had during our stay. We loved walking around Mirror Lake to enjoy a fantastic dinner in Lake Placid's main thoroughfare then finishing off the night with a walk back to the cottage. We cannot recommend this property enough. If you're looking for a delightfully charming cottage to get away with your special someone, this is the place to rent!
