Tewksbury Lodge offers the unique experience of accommodation in an authentic, traditionally handcrafted Canadian style log cabin.
The Lodge offers Self Catering Accommodation with all the features and facilities you expect from 4 1/2 star accommodation, including superior furnishings, log fire and spa.
Situated on 2 acres of picturesque gardens with river frontage and views to Mt Buffalo. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail for walking and cycling passes the front of the property.
<br>Tewksbury Lodge provides an ideal retreat, uniquely different with the warmth and ambience only a true log home can provide.

Recline in your leather lounge suite inside, or sit back and relax outside on the spacious verandah, with a private BBQ, overlooking secluded gardens. Stroll over to the swing seat and your own fire-pit above the Ovens river, with beautiful views to Mt Buffalo's gorge.

We do live on the property in a separate home, so we are available if required. However we respect your privacy and will leave you alone to enjoy your stay and the peace and quiet, unless you contact us. The rear of the property is quite secluded and reserved for your privacy, but guests are certainly free to enjoy the rest of the grounds.

Other Facilities:
- Large screen Smart TV with NetFlix.
- Bicycles (his & hers) are available free of charge, with helmets.
- Toboggans: During Winter, complimentary toboggans are available for guest use.
- Firewood: During winter (Jun to Aug) we provide a complementary supply of fire wood to get you started, so you can fully experience the ambience of the log Cabin (includes kindling and firelighters). Once your complimentary supply is used (or outside of winter months), firewood is available for purchase as required.
- Campfire wood. We usually have complimentary low quality campfire wood for the outside camp fire available all year round.

e-BIKE HIRE:
We have 2 (his/hers) premium touring e-bike's available for hire, exclusively to Tewksbury Lodge guests at exceptionally competitive rates.

Multi-award winning property:
3x winner, Best Hosted Accommodation - Alpine Business & Tourism Awards.
Finalist, Victorian Tourism Awards.

And you can sleep easy - We are Carbon Neutral

Tewksbury Lodge is an Eco Friendly dwelling and we pride ourselves on being environmentally responsible.
- 26 solar panels collect the suns energy and generate most of the properties electricity needs
- Double glazed windows increase insulation characteristics; warm in winter, cool in summer
- Grid electric power is 100% renewable, sourced from Hydro Electric generation
- The Lodge is a superb insulator. A conventional house has an insulation value varying from R2 to R4. This log cabin has an insulation value of R16. The very high insulation capacity reduces heating and cooling requirements.
- Large logs have another wonderful property - their thermal mass; they are capable of storing heat. When the cabin temperature is lowered (e.g., at night) they give back heat into the rooms until the temperature is again equalized.
- A skylight minimizes the need for artificial lighting during the day
- Ceiling fans reduce heating and A/C needs
- High efficiency instant gas hot water is used for it’s suitability to intermittent usage
- LED lighting is used for optimal energy efficiency

Very clean cabin located in a central area with close access to bright and surrounds, was a great central point. After booking this cabin from the ad we were expecting more space and isolation than what we saw, the cabin is 20 meters away from the hosts property and we could hear the roadworks on the highway and someone's party one night inside the cabin. When we arrived the cabin was freezing cold, Claudia had turned on the aircon but it was an icebox inside, we then discovered you have to pay an additional fee for any firewood if it is not in winter season. That night was -1.. It was very clean and tidy inside. The TVs in the bedroom also cannot show hd channels so you can hear sounds but can't see anything. We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with it after the price paid to stay and having to pay extra to keep warm ect.

In a delightful garden setting the log cabin was spacious and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and the bike trail almost at our front door! Everthing was perfect for our three night stay and we could happily stay longer.

This was a well organized holiday place. The lodge was beautiful. The hosts were accomodating and available but non-intrusive. Even came and gave us a torch light when a storm cut power. Would recommend this holiday accommodation and will be returning with our next overseas visitors. The only one downside was the BBQ not being cleaned very well.

The property and our hosts were fabulous. They thought of everything and were always happy to help. The location was also great - close to everything and right on the Ovens River. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It was a wonderful wooden log cabin in a very peaceful location. Not far from the town of bright and the mountains around. Clean and tidy space with a wonderful garden around. The hosts were lovely and helpful.
