Stayed Mar 13, 2025The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or to do their own thing. The owner left great instructions for everything and even called prior to our trip to offer some tips. We will definitely stay here again another time.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The home is lovely and very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and near some great dining options. The host has also been very responsive and helpful to any questions. We would recommend this home and will likely return.

Stayed Jan 25, 2023Went for a visit to Tahoe Donner with my family and my brother's family, and this house was great for us. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, no problems, and there was sleeping space for plenty more! The downstairs living room is effectively fully separate and can act as another bedroom if you need it.

Stayed Dec 19, 2022We stayed at the cabin for about a week. It was beautifully appointed and well stocked! Everything you need from cooking utensils, a Dyson vacuum to a plethora of puzzles and games were available for use. The property is well maintained and very clean. We really enjoyed all the large windows offering an amazing view of the snowy trees. It's far enough away from town to feel the peace but close enough to grab food and groceries. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, prefect for walking our dog. The check-in process was easy and we greatly appreciated this house being professionally managed, it felt like a proper vacation. Thank you!

Stayed Aug 20, 2020My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Keaton, the owner, reached out to me the day prior to arrival with pertinent details about checking in and suggestions for local attractions. The property is ideal for families and is close to Donner Lake and Truckee. It is about a 30 minute drive to south shore Tahoe and 1 hour from Stateline should you want to do some gambling or skiing. My only complaint, and this has nothing to do with the property or the owner, was the Rec center. The rec center itself has two big pools, jacuzzi, and a big modern gym. The issue is that they charge an $16/person for access to the gym and $8/person for access to one of the pools. Due to Covid they are restricting access to a reservation system. I did go to the gym one day and was fascinated by how rude and abrasive the gym staff was. One staff lady was particularly abrasive and made it her mission to harrass gymgoers and nitpick them. In short, pass on the rec center, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Stayed Jun 26, 2020Our family is from Las Vegas and Temecula California. We had our get together here so our kids can enjoy the adventures of the lake and river. We choose this location bcoz its closer to Reno, Tahoe, and Truckee River. Our Agenda was to explore all these places and find adventure things for the kids. The location is perfect because it's close to all the things we planned to do which included visit Reno downtown, Truckee river rafting, and lake tahoe kayaking and hiking at emerald bay and sand harbor beach. Donner lake was also close. Although we expected that the cabin is walking distance to the lake. We got the impression the lake was behind the property because the pictures in the listings appeared to be the lake was behind the property. We should have looked at it in google map before planning to book it. Anyways, it was ok bcoz it's not too far. A quick drive to the small town of Donner is conveniently enough. We enjoyed the cabin. It was perfect for our Big Family. It was very clean and all the amenities were available for us to cook and make our meal. This is very helpful and important bcoz the stores is a good 10 mins drive to the small town center, outside the neighborhood. So if you forget to buy condiments or ingredients it's not convenient to drive down the town to get them. However, everything we needed is available. The laundry soap pods we're also so nice for them to provide. We also needed to do our laundry bcoz the water activities we did we had some laundries to do. Again, we forgot to bring the detergent but luckily and conveniently enough they have it prepared for us. The game room was also nice. Our kids enjoyed the board games. They had nice time learning few of the board games. It was really nice they have those because this vacation is all about spending time with the family and less on electronic gadgets. The wifii is also fast and easy to access. That is also nice to have because some part of the cabin our cell reception was not working. The patio and bbq grill is great. Our family enjoyed sitting out in the patio and had our family dinner out there in the evening. It was a nice scenery just for us to sit, talk, and relax after the long day of family outdoor activities. The trash bin outside was full. We think that the previous guests had their trash in there already before we came so it was hard for us to fit our trash. We wished that they emptied the trash bin before we came. Overall, it was a nice place!!!!
