Nikiski, Alaska
Beautiful 20' yurt (314 sf) located on a quiet Nikiski lake. The yurt, outhouse, and shower house have electricity and are lighted. The yurt also has a ceiling fan and is heated by a Toyo stove to help keep it toasty warm in the winter. There is a nice front deck (Trex), a picnic table (under a canopy in the summer), and interior furnishings are predominantly custom-built log (bed, hutch, table/chairs, and coffee table). There is a small refrigerator, coffee maker, hot water maker, and toaster. There are kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboard available for summertime use. The lake is indeed swimmable in the summer. There is a nice firepit with firewood provided as well as a Weber charcoal grill. Not far from local Cook Inlet beaches and the Captain Cook recreational site.
Located approximately 17 minutes from Kenai and close to Nikiski proper. Snowmachining opportunities are present in the local area as are 4-wheeler opportunities in the summer.
FYI - There is running water for the shower house shower and sink as well as a hose during non-freezing months only.
