Not everything was as advertised. Pool table and game area was unavailable. Beds could use an upgrade, but it was still a nice stay overall
We enjoyed this property it was great with enough room to spread out. The house is a little tired, but it was well stocked to dishes and cooking equipment. Loved the dog could come.
We had the best time at this cabin for a family getaway with our 13 year old, 9 month old & golden retriever. The cabin is conveniently located close to the river, SHARC and the Village. It was cozy and checked all our boxes! Extremely peaceful and quiet, fireplace, hot tub, clean, and plenty of room for even more friends/family if we needed it! A special thanks to the local Vacasa office for finding our son’s backpack we accidentally left behind. They mailed it to us right away (we live 3 hours away) and it meant so much as it had his teddy bear and other special things in it. Thank you to the hosts and Vacasa for a wonderful experience.
This house was spacious, clean, and had tons to do when staying in. Even better than expected.
My family had a wonderful stay. Cooked great meals, played games, etc at the house. Enjoyed boating on the river, hiking, golf, horseback riding and the water park was my grandkids’ favorite activity!
First, we really enjoyed our stay here. For anyone considering 8 Cedar Lane, here are a few pros/cons. Pros: -Location. It's an easy walk to Fort Rock Park. If you cut through the back it's a short walk to SHARC. On top of that, the back deck opens to one of the largest open spaces in Sunriver. You really feel like you're in the country. -Light. This house has huge South-facing windows opening to the greenspace behind the back deck. It gets incredible light in the living room. -Space. There are 4 bedrooms plus a big living room and an upstairs space. There's a lot of room for people to be on their own if needed or to gather as a group. There's a huge dining table too. 12 people could eat comfortable between the two dining spaces. They've also put a few couches and a pool table in the garage. It's a nice hangout spot, even in winter. There's an incredible heater in the garage that needs just a few minutes to make it comfortable even when the outside temperature is in the teens or worse. Heat. The furnace in this place is a beast. The rooms heat unevenly but there are baseboards in those that don't have furnace vents. There is also an amazing fireplace and ample supply of firewood. The ambience in the living room with a fire in front of you and the huge South-facing windows behind is amazing. Cons: -Light. Other than the bright living room, this house is a bit dark. The lights are dated and the cedar plank walls absorb a lot of light. The master bedroom downstairs is especially dark. -Space. The bathrooms are quite small. There are 2.5 of them so that helps. Two people getting ready together in the master bathroom will be cramped though. -Kitchen. We made do, but the kitchen is due for an overhaul. The microwave is underpowered and probably needs to be replaced. For a house this size, the fridge is undersized. -Beds. Again, we made do, but all of the beds are cheap bouncy mattresses. There are abundant pillows and extra blankets. There are also two futons - one in the living room downstairs and another in the open upstairs space. One person in our group ended up sleeping on a futon because the mattresses were all so uncomfortable. Overall this is a great spot to enjoy Sunriver, especially if you have small children and value a location near the park and big backyard. If you're looking for higher end beds, kitchen, etc, there are better options, but you're also going to pay for them. If simple and functional is your schtick, 8 Cedar Lane is a great choice.
Loved the location and house layout. House showing its age and dryer not working.
Overall the house met our needs for a multi day family trip in Sunriver. Nice location close to bike paths and Fort Rock Park, plenty of sleeping options, enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and garage pool table was a fun too. The home exterior appeared to have recent upgrades like a new deck, paint and roof, but the interior not so much. It just felt dated and tired and in need of some deep cleaning and upgrades.
overall really nice place super roomy and comfy, kitchen could use an update, and bikes are pretty old and we did not bring our own helmets so we could not use them.
Always have a great time
