Sundance Spectacular Views on 54 Acres along Shenandoah River w/ Hot Tub

This cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. Inside, it was cozy, clean, and had an awesome door-less walk-in shower. Outside, the owner's description of spectacular was spot-on. Relaxing after a long hike in the hot tub under the stars was as good as it gets. The following morning was as peaceful as I can remember; being greeted in bed by the incredible view through the sliding glass doors, as well as by the beautiful bird songs through an open window. What a wonderful experience!

The home is perfect. It was clean and not fussy. We had 2 adults and 2 kids along with our 2 dogs. The space was plenty, but if you are looking for loads of inside space this may not be for you. For us it was perfect. The views are incredible, and the walk down to the river is pure magic, steep, but magic. The location is great for quiet and rest, but you are close to all that makes the area special. We spent our days in the NP and loved all the hikes. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Sundance was everything we needed: Exceptionally clean, perfectly quiet and peaceful, with wonderful views and a well-maintained hot tub, balcony, grill and fire-pit. The hosts were clear and communicative, and entry and exit was a breeze. Thank you, Derek and Olga, for such a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay, as always. Cabin is cozy and comfortable. Views are spectacular. The hot tub is in perfect spot and perfect temp. Couldn't ask for anthing more. 1st thing I look for when we get there are the home baked cookies!

Everything was fantastic. House was immaculate and the view was worth every dollar. Far enough from people but not too far.

I booked this place because I was driving from Huntsville to Boston and this is Midway. I was looking for a place with a hot tub due to the long drive. However, when I went over to the hot tub to jump in, the water was not hot nor was it warm enough to get into. It was more on the lukewarm side.

Everything was absolutely perfect! So perfect, we’ve booked again for two more weeks next year! You won’t be disappointed! Best views ever!

Our stay was lovely. The house itself is very clean and spacious. The view was incredible, especially out on the large deck with the sunset. Overall we had no issues finding it and enjoyed our night away.

This was a perfect place to getaway for my husband, mutt Rocky and me. Isolated enough so the only sounds we heard were from nature, but an easy trip to pick up any supplies you might need. I loved that the huge deck facing the mountains was deep enough that when there was rain we were able to sit outside without getting wet and enjoy the storm. I also had the lovely experience of hummingbirds visiting me while sitting out on the deck enjoying morning coffee. Read the guest book when you arrive. A fun game of “find the dollar” has been played by former guests for years. I will definitely be looking for another chance to stay at Sundance. Maybe then I’ll find the dollar!

What a treasure Sundance is...we booked a last-minute 3-night stay and just loved this location--it was such a treat! The cabin is lovely, well-furnished, comfortable and very clean. The scenery/views are outstanding. Even though the weather wasn't good while we were there, it was so peaceful and relaxing and the mountains were still pretty, even with the mist and the fog. I cannot imagine how beautiful it would be with clear skies! We are looking forward to going back to experience a sunset and a star-studded night sky!! We only cooked a few simple meals in the cabin, but I must say it was the first and the only VRBO cabin we have booked that had decent pots and pans to use that did not stick--so thank you, Derek and Olga!!

House is very clean with amazing views! Kitchen stocked with everything you need. Water access is private with only a couple of shared cabins. Enjoyed fishing, canoeing and relaxing over three days. This was our second stay here and we look forward to coming back!Dan

This was the second time we stayed and we love the cabin, the property, and the views. We will be back again in the future!My only small suggestion is having things like foil, paper plates, and ziplock bags available. We had to throw away leftovers on the first night until we went to Walmart the next day.

Enjoyed modern comforts in a natural setting. Kitchen well equipped for meal prep. Indoors: Comfy living space, big shower, soft bed. Two huge ceiling fans and screen doors, so we mostly kept a/c off. Outdoors: huge tree top deck with Weber grill, bistro tables, and hot tub. Panoramic view of Massanutten mtn and sunset. Well kept landscaping, firepit, and river access. An easy 10 minute walk down the path, we found the sunny lawn and shaded picnic area right on the riverbank. Short drive to Luray for provisions and attractions, and convenient to Thornton Gap park entrance. Sundance cabin is worth the price and only a modest fee for our dog to live her best life. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a great time spending 5 days-4 nights at Sundance celebrating our 40th anniversary. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you could need. We ate every meal on the deck because the view is fantastic and it's so calm and peaceful. Relaxed in the hot tub every evening after a day of walking down to the river or exploring the area. Bonus points for the chocolate chip cookies. Hope to stay here again in the future.

States queen size bed, appears to be a full size. Picture show sofa as a queen size but is not a pull out bed.Hot tub partially functional-only one side had full jets that work.

My children and I did an overnight since there’s a lot to do in the area. The property is beautiful, and super private, without being completely in the middle of nowhere. The cabin is super cute, with everything you actually need. Best part is that the hot has amazing view. Definitely plan to stay here again!

The pictures and description honestly don’t do this property justice! Absolutely fantastic location with wonderful vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There was a pristine hot tub on the wrap around deck overlooking the mountains. The house was exactly as described and the owner responded promptly to all my messages and questions. I wish we had more time at this cabin and will definitely book it again next time we are in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The cabin was simple yet very cozy! We loved how private the area was! The views off the balcony were stunning! During the day you have a beautiful view of the mountains and at night the you had a beautiful view of the stars! We also loved how we could see the view while sitting in the hot tub. We even had a deer come and visit us! I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone! We had a very nice time!

Sundance was perfect for our long weekend with the dogs. The space was super clean and the view was fabulous! It was nice to walk down to the river and chill in hot tub to take in the mountain views and the sunset. The power went out for a little bit on one of the days were there, and the owners were very responsive. We can't wait to visit again!

Sundance had everything we needed for an escape from the madness. The view from the deck was particularly nice … next time we’ll try to book during a new moon to better enjoy the stars!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sundance for our honeymoon. The view and location were amazing. The place is better than we imagined. The host was great at communicating quickly for all our questions. We loved it so much we extended our stay. Definitely will be back!

My sister and I had a wonderful visit to the Sundance cabin. After spending the day at the Caverns and hiking it was a treat to come back to the spotless cabin and relax in the hot tub. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful to walk around in. We sat by the river for what seems like hours. We would highly recommend this home, the host and their other cabins we saw!
