Stayed Jan 30, 2026The cabin itself is beautiful but the host is very inconsiderate and does not care about their guests. Prior to this trip, we attempted to reschedule because we heard there may be bad weather. The host did not even attempt to accommodate our request and said there was no bad weather expected and business was continuing as usual. We arrived on Friday and were snowed in by Saturday morning. I asked the host for help getting the snow cleared so we could leave and they did not even acknowledge our message. They didn’t offer any local contacts or even respond to just ask if we’re ok after I also mentioned that one of our guests tried to leave and hit a tree. They ignored our pleas completely. They did not communicate with us until days later after they found out we were still there and they wanted to offer a discount on the additional nights. Again did not ask if we were ok or ask how they could help us get out. Only asked about the money. Whoever runs this rental is greedy and does not care about the safety of their guests. Needless to say none of the amenities in the house were actually stocked. For instance there was a k-cup coffee machine, but no coffee k-cups. Basic host expectation. Not being able to help is one thing, but completely ignoring the messages of your guests is unacceptable, especially during an emergency
