The cabin was clean for the most part. The main floor was remodeled and updated but the kitchen was not well equipped to make a basic meal, the pots and pans were disgusting. Teflon was scratched off on all of them, where they were not safe to cook with and no can opener. Upstairs was outdated but clean, the beds were so uncomfortable though!

We had a lovely time at this property. We we're pleasantly surprised when we noticed some upgrades from what was listed and some reviews. For example, they added a TV to the living room giving access to streaming services and they had wifi at the place. Plenty of parking space and super easy to check in. In all, definitely will be keeping this place in mind for the future!

The cleaning dept. should check the toilets better. Winter climates such as these need snowmelt at hand for use. Just to get to the front door was a challenge. The natural gas oven had some issues, the alarms went off immediately after turned on. The downstairs sink was very slow to drain. We enjoyed our stay and the wildlife that came around while we were there. We saw many deer and wild turkeys. It would have been nice to use the gazebo with the firepit, and also the B-B-Q.

Comfortable home, remodeled recently with modern kitchen and downstairs bathroom (3 shower heads!?) and impressive wood stump coffee table. We very much enjoyed our stay xc skiing for 4 days at Salmon la Sac, Suncadia, Palouse to Cascades Trail, Coal Mines Trail and Lake Easton SP in sunshine, fresh snow and cold temperatures. Very peaceful location. Driveway and address number hard to see from blind curve on Westside Road. Long driveway could be challenging for 2WD vehicles in some snow conditions. Critiques: No bathtub (for bathing children) Gas stove/oven (occasionally smelled of propane) Pots and pans of poor quality (scorched non-stick lining) We would have brought our own cast iron pans and pots if we’d known... so something to consider. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

The VRBO listing did not include the importance of having a 4x4 vehicle. Hopefully, the owners update the description to highlight that importance. At the time I booked my trip -there was no mention, otherwise I would have factored that cost into our travel budget & car rental. Upon looking back it was only listed in fine print on Vacasa (NOT VRBO) but only once the property address/details came through the week of arrival. I missed it b/c it was so small. The property sits at the bottom of a very steep driveway. The drive was covered in thick ice & snow. I would think in the rainy muddy season you might have similar issues. This was the only problem we had & there was no one local to assist us even though the Vacasa contact line said someone would help us. We did end up with a trip to the ER (a leg got rolled over by the vehicle as we tried to push our way up the hill) spending time & money (which we were told to submit local store receipts) on de-icer & sand & shoveling a path to the door since we stopped driving down the hill to park. The home was clean, modern & pretty well stocked. I think they are slowly updating furniture -there were a couple patio chairs in the living room for seating. I topped them with the extra fluffy blanks on hand & we were comfy. TVs were in each room -on the floor in 2 rooms. We only used the living room TV, so no issue for us. The fireplace was fabulous & cozy. The kitchen pretty w/new appliances & stocked sort of hodge podge, but we made breakfast & lunches & had what we needed. Bathroom downstairs was great. Nice, new shower. Washer & dryer in a good sized laundry room was perfect for us to store luggage & stay prepped for snowy days & wedding events. Closets had plenty of hangers. We really liked the house, communication could vastly improve the experience. It would behelpful to have a book with housekeeping details, as well as, local shops, grocery, & restaurant suggestions. Cle Elum has some very nice local offerings -highlighting them would be a bonus. We had wedding events to attend so we stayed pretty busy & the kid with the bum leg couldn’t do much anyway. Check out was not labor intensive, I can’t stand messes so we kept it clean. We adjusted the thermostat, started a load of wash & ran the dishwasher on the way out, no mention what to do with trash. Overall we liked the place, opportunities exist: align & improve communication, finish sprucing up the furnishings & this becomes a really great find!

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was in a remote location and so cozy. We explored the property and played in the snow. We wanted to have a fire but there was no propane tank for the gas fireplace. I called the rental company and they were so nice and got back to be in just a few minutes to tell me that they were sending someone out to drop off a propane tank. The propane tank was delivered a couple hours later so we were able to sit under the gazebo and have a fire! I would totally recommend this cabin to anyone!

We were relocated to this cabin after the cabin we originally booked was damaged by flooding. The cabin layout and property were quite nice. But that’s the only good thing I can say about our experience. When we arrived, the cabin was missing basic items, including drinking glasses, silverware and dish towels. There were dirty towels in the bathroom and the oven/stove was disgusting. If there were 6 of us, there wouldn’t have been enough of anything, including chairs or room in the DR or LR. The roof was leaking from the rain and the oven ultimately developed a propane leak. Local Vacasa staff were responsive and did their best to resolve as many of the issues as possible, and Vacasa gave us a modest refund. However, with all the on-going issues our weekend was spent dealing with problems and not enjoying ourselves as we should have. Vacasa needs to better vet their properties and have more support in place for their local staff. Given our overall experience with a Vacasa property, we do not recommend staying at one of their properties and especially not this one.

I wanted to give this place a higher rating as the house was clean enough and good size for our group of four, however there were serious issues. First, our printed directions to the address were incorrect leading us ustray on a very, very dark road with the eventual driveway almost hidden. The instructions gave us an electronic gate code when there was no electronic gate. Secondly, though the kitchen was very nice, there were only 3 forks, no spoons, no toaster and 3 cups for us to use. Pretty bleak showing for a facility that can sleep 6. I'll be very hesitant to use this company again, which is unfortunate as the communications were good and the house really was sweet.
