Stunning Log Cabin with amazing views at Apple Canyon Lake, Perfect Location

What a peaceful respite! Set in a lovely area, walking distance to the Apple Canyon Lake with a beach and restaurant, this was the perfect getaway for a family wedding weekend. The cabin is stunning and comfortable. Beautifully furnished, it had all of the amenities one could hope for in a vacation home.

This is a wonderful property to just hide away at! Best place we’ve ever stayed at! Highly recommend!

Could not get reception for regular tv, kitchen was disorganized with some dirty dishes in the cabinet and dirty water left in the sink. Kitchen appliances were updated but washer and dryer did not work well at all Washers would not spin all the water out of clothes and a knob was missing. And had to run the dryer multiple times to get things dry. Stairs were steep and narrow. There were many lights that did not work or had burnt out bulbs so it was dark in many rooms. Many stairs to get in and out of the house. Definitely not handicap accessible!

Nice cabin. We had a great time.

We were allowed to check in early, which we appreciated; however, no one had rented the unit for weeks before us so even though it had been cleaned after the last guests we found dead stink bugs and beetle ladybugs on the couch, the carpet, the counter tops etc. The grill was not clean and the stovetop must have been wiped down with a dirty rag. When we raised concerns we were told that since we checked in 2 hours early proper cleaning was not complete, which makes no sense, no one was there cleaning the day we checked in! After we swept the kitchen and vacuumed the living room our stay was fine (the owner did offer to come and vacuum and clean the grill but we were on vacation so that would have been awkward)On the positive side, the bathroom downstairs was very clean but the jets in the tub are discolored so no. There were a lot of nice touches left for guests, soaps, wine, snacks, and plenty of firewood. The living room was very comfortable after we swept and vacuumed. We did ask for a refund of the cleaning fee which was refused, we did not ask for anything more than that so this isn't someone just looking for something for free, just an honest review

An amazing getaway.

Nice property and would stay again. Cabin was really cute it had everything you needed. They even left a gift basket full of snacks, was a great touch. Easy communication and check in. Only issue was we had to wash bedding before using. This could been over looked possibly by cleaner. It had food or something on blankets and pillow cases. Overall this place was cute.

This cabin was amazing, the area it was located was quiet and peaceful, mornings drinking coffee on the deck watching the sunrise were just what we needed! The hosts were great, they provided everything needed for a great stay! Would highly recommend and we would stay again!

This well decorated and clean home provided appreciated welcome gifts and comfort. We used both the King master and the queen room. We didn’t catch in the description that the house had 1 shower with 2 bathrooms. The upstairs room was difficult to keep cool, it needs a waste basket and back up toilet paper. Otherwise what we needed we found were great!

Love this place. A short walk to the amenities. Easy access to the lake. Quiet country views from the porch swing. A week here feels like heaven.

Such a charming and lovely cabin! Overall we'd stay here again. Location was great and easy to access ACL amenities. A few notes for improvement (but not worthy of subtracting stars): a full set of utensils, an extra roll of paper towels, adequate toilet paper for a one week stay, and a proper bedframe for one of the upstairs twin beds. We had to disassemble it because it was the wrong size and the mattress kept ripping off of it. Lastly, the couch was a sectional and none of the pieces would attach so it was a really awkward seating situation, but these are things we could live with and we still enjoyed our time very much. We appreciated the welcome goodies, easy check-in information, quiet location, cozy linens, and cleanliness.

This was a beautiful cabin with all the amenities of home. Proximity to the community pool and restaurant was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.

The timbers and wood chips coming to front entrance is not optimal. Front porch dirty. Chair broken. Cushions wet and dirty. Back screen porch dirty. Screen out on door of back porch.Fireplace full of ashes. The was a leak under sink. Owner came by and repaired. He also cleaned out ashes. Light bulb in Kitchen out. That made kitchen dark. 2 of the blinds in kitchen were broken. Could not raise. Light bulb in upstairs hall out. Bulb in upstairs bedroom was flashing. Elder box bugs in upstairs bedroom. (Seems to be an infestation of the bugs)And the jetted tub jets were deeply cruded brown. I sent pictures on Tuesday to owner. I said these jets need a proper soak cleaning between renters. Not just wiped out. Owner responded she would have cleaning crew do that. I asked when. Owner said after we leave. I have pictures, but i cannot upload them to submit here. Also. The owners should state in description that they do not want you to wear shoes in the house.

We had a nice stay at this property. The listing was pretty accurate. Access to the lake community ammenities is very convenient. We enjoyed the Club House and the Cove restaurant. Hosts were responsive and helpful with their suggestions for the area.

We loved staying in this charming cabin! We appreciated how well stocked it was with everything we would need, including wood for the indoor fireplace (we made good use of that!)The beds were very comfy and clean. We would happily stay here again.

My family of 5 stayed here for a ski trip at Chestnut Mountain and shopping in Galena. Plenty of room and a true cabin feel! Would highly recommend!

The cabin at Apple lake was very cozy, it’s a beautiful cabin and the area was so nice and quiet, it’s a great spot to just unwind and relax, we enjoyed our stay.

Though I was very unfortunately injured right before our trip and unable to attend; my wife and her parents... as well as our children absolutely loved the property and immediately began asking when we could go back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. Everything you needed in one place. Very fun area with Galena close by.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. The fireplace was great. The cabin is very cute! The location is perfect for stargazing. We even saw the atlas comet. Galena is just a short drive away. The state park is even closer. This is a great place for relaxing.
