I can't say enough about the loveliness of this home, the amenities, the natural beauty and scenery. All are 5 stars, easily! The management company was slow to respond to my email request about how to check in to the property, so I had to call, otherwise they were responsive to all follow up questions about the rental. The bedroom was tremendously comfortable, the kitchen well appointed (I'm a big home cook and bring all my own spices, but there were plenty already there (as opposed to only salt, pepper, and garlic as in many rentals), and the entire home beautifully decorated. We would LOVE to come back! The owner texted to make sure we were doing okay-- I really appreciated that since a blizzard was burying us in, which we LOVED.
Nice and cozy
We were very excited for our family trip, as we rarely get time off, 2 family members even drove 12 hours for this event. Sadly, several issues caused half our group to leave after 1 night. Being a 5 night required, premium rate, non-refundable rental, this was a substantial cost/disappointment. The Pros and Cons are listed below, the manageable items were excluded. Pro’s Host was friendly and responsive when she was available Views from the deck are beautiful Well stocked kitchen Nice linens Cute cabin – pottery/art throughout were a fun addition Wildlife – we saw moose and deer from the deck Beautiful area 2 bathrooms Con’s Host – unable to reach re issues, tried morning after arrival, again in afternoon. Then contacted Evolve later that afternoon, never heard back from either until the host made contact afternoon of day 4. Mice – traps are located inside, and the deck and outdoor furniture were covered w/a layer of mouse droppings. After we initially cleaned up the deck and furniture, we found that the droppings were raining down to the deck from a possible infestation in the wall. Host confirmed traps were checked prior check in. Due to this health/safety issue, we would not have booked, had this been disclosed. Wifi – it appears to be capped, we had to use data for work and it capped halfway through our trip. Heat – we were there during some higher temp days. The cabin has no cooling, the upstairs bedrooms remained around 90 degrees, even with a few fans, with the exception of one stormy night. Sleeping upstairs was absolutely miserable. The host’s response was that she can’t control the weather and that she appreciated our understanding. Loft window – this was stuck closed so couldn’t create a cross breeze upstairs. Due to lack of response, my husband finally climbed 15’ up a ladder to pry the window open, didn't help much. Bathroom shower rod – fell off when touched, fixed by the hosts friend on the afternoon of day 4. Basement door – wouldn’t open, leaving only 1 entry/exit to the property. Loft bedroom TV – didn’t work, host offered to send someone when she responded on day 4, seemed pointless by then. Neighboring cabin is fairly close Drive in/out is very steep, lower cars need to be aware We don't like to leave bad reviews, and the host did refund the pet fee and was apologetic. However, we lost an opportunity to spend our vacation together as a family, and this info before choosing/booking would have helped.
The property was great we just were not expecting triple digits without air conditioning
Very easy to cook meals in this well stocked cabin including all pots/pans/utensils/spices needed! Awesome mountain views from the porch and master bedroom. Giant TV and comfortable couch in the basement. Very comfortable and relaxing experience. Host was in contact to pass along important info, highly recommend staying at this property!
Kelly is a great host! We felt like we were staying with a family member. Everything you need is taken care of, and Kelly is great at communicating if you have any questions. Beautiful home through and through!
We loved our stay at this cabin! We did need chains to access the driveway after the fresh snow FYI. Kitchen was well stocked. This feels like a home not just a rental house. Very comfortable.
We loved everything about the location. The kitchen is so well stocked to cook and the views off the deck are epic. The beds comfortable and location perfect. We will return !
We wanted to try out cabin life. We came from the Salt Lake Valley which was covered in smoke from California fires. My wife has asthma and smoke is very bad for her. We were able to get away from most of it. I enjoyed the lack of appointments. It was a good rest. comfortable mattress.
This is a wonderful cabin...private, but not too far from necessities. The owner/manager is amazing. Loved our time there, and we were very sad to leave. We will most definately return.
