We love Little Bear Cabin!! It’s the best of all worlds…a cabin nestled amongst the mountains AND the trees. Beautiful views whether you are on the attached covered deck, which you feel as if you are in a treehouse surrounded by dazzling fall color or from the sky deck watching the fog dance back and forth across the mountains. It’s splendidly peaceful yet close to the parkway and downtown Waynesville with great restaurants. There is absolutely no doubt that the hosts, Maribel and Tim, have a passion for this mountain and their guests. The house is fully stocked and so comfortable and I can’t think of anything that we possibly might have needed that wasn’t supplied by them for us to use and enjoy. Little Bear is truly a little slice of heaven…close to heaven! Thank you Maribel and Tim, you are incredible hosts!

stunning views while close to downtown Waynesville! Well appointed cabin that had a craftsman aesthetic. Loved the vibe, skyjack viewing with a glass of wine. Maribel and Tim were super gracious. Want to return for next mountain getaway.

Immaculate, well-stocked home with incredible views and amenities. I only met one owner--Maribel--and she was delightful; showed us around the remaining property and responded immediately to questions. We have stayed in numerous VRBO's and this one is in the top 3. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Big Bear Cabin! It felt like having our own private retreat, with stunning views of the changing fall colors. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Maribel was incredibly responsive and offered great suggestions for things to do in and around Waynesville. We look forward to returning and spending even more time there!

Magical stay, everything about this property is wonderful. Maribel and Tim are all star hosts, provided many local recommendations and nice hospitable touches throughout their home. Easy check in process, great communication, and honestly the pictures do not do it justice, the outdoor deck is incredible and cozy with spectacular views. Comfortable beds and furniture, luxurious bathrooms. We stayed with kids who really enjoyed the outdoor space to explore. Great location, we stayed on a road trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park which was about a 40 minute drive and same distance to Asheville. We were pleasantly surprised by the Main Street in Waynesville which is a must see. We hope to visit again soon!

Having stayed in multiple rentals throughout the eastern US and in Europe, we had not experienced the level of serenity and quiet that we were able to find at Little Bear. Not only were the accomodations spectacularly comfortable and lovely, the breathtaking mountain scenery and wildlife viewing were beyond compare. Unexpected amenities such as the Sky Deck (star gazing and sunset viewing), with cozy seating and firepit, and access to a mountain trail system made our family trip truly memorable. A personal favorite was havimg morning coffee on the elevated pavillion, accessible by walkway from the cabin. Ending the day with a salt bath in the clawfoot tub is certainly a top recommendation from this guest! Even the approach road to the property caused the weekly stressors to quickly melt away. We look forward to visiting again, very soon.

Very nice home. At 3,900 feet so it’s always nice out. Beautiful covered deck with a very nice fireplace. Owners are very attentive but we didn’t need anything. Nicely appointed. We will stay there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Little Bear, and it was nothing short of magical. Perfectly located in the woods with the best morning coffee view there is. It’s the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The interior is warm and inviting, with cozy wood finishes, a stone fireplace inside and outside! The comfiest beds made waking up to the sunshine through the trees and valley made the whole experience unforgettable. Really close to the town of Waynesville which has lots to offer. Plus the hosts are fabulous! We could have stayed a few more days!

This cabin was amazing. We have used VRBO all around the world and hosts often use words like charming, tranquil, luxurious, but this cabin lived up to all the hype. It was only about 5 minutes away from town, but it felt like we were on our own private mountain. The cabin is at the top of adorable country road. We past a pasture with cows, a house with miniature donkeys and another with two beautiful horses. We even saw a family of deer on the property when we were there :) The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts were vunderbar. The were a very cute couple with an interesting story. We are glad we met them and can't wait to come back in the fall. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

Wow, we can’t say enough good things about this amazing place. Just driving to the location we were struck by its beauty. It is completely private. Nestled amongst the trees, but with some incredible views. We were greeted by the owners who clearly love this place and these mountains. The house had everything we asked for- fully stocked. We had the best nights sleep we've had in a long time. I would absolutely recommend this place!
