First time using VRBO and the host had all the information I could ever need and the cottage was helpfully labeled or info printed for using the dishwasher, fireplaces, etc. Very easy check-out.

Came here with my 2 girlfriends for some R&R for the Holiday Hustle begins ... this cabin exceeded our expectations. The listing sold us, but after spending a weekend here, we know were coming back! Clean, cozy, safe, easy to find. The great room is Magical ... like being in a treehouse! The host, Dave, is quick to respond. Polite and thorough. Can't wait to visit that beautiful cabin again!

Lodge was cozy, very clean, and welcoming. Host communication was great. Stream and wooded location were a nice change of pace. Spent lots of time on the finished porch in the back. Kooser park and trails a few minute walk away. Forbes and other state parks a short drive. Only issue was the nearby SR 31 - less than 100 ft from the front door, with 55 mph gravel trucks all day long. If the lodge were 5x farther away from the road it'd be perfect! Awesome property- just bear in mind the traffic.

We loved the property, we spent alot of time with our feet in the water just enjoying the creek. The house was great, just be aware that you are situated on a slope, so there are stairs and incline, but it it doable and absolutely worth it. The owner was very quick to respond when we had a minor issue. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. We definitely plan on coming back soon.

Beutiful cottage, beautiful location. Close enough to many attractions but far away enough for a peaceful getaway. Would consider staying here again if ever in the area.

I booked the cottage for a birthday getaway with family. Cottage is close to lots of hiking which is what I was looking for. Loved the great room at the back of the cottage, my favorite part, it felt like you were in a tree house. If there was one thing that bothered me is that the house is really close to the main road so road noise was a bit loud at certain times of the day. Communication with the owner was fantastic, had a problem with the TV in the evening and he was very responsive even though he was out with family. I appreciated that.

We had a wonderful getaway. Love the history of the bungalow, the great room, and the style/decor. The beds are also very comfortable. It was perfect for a small family of three and our dog was also welcome! The hosts are very nice and communication was great and we appreciated the attention to detail. The backyard and the property is amazing—love the bridges! We like that you can hike over to Kooser State Park in about ten minutes. Inside and outside, you can enjoy the sounds of nature and the beautiful stream. We were surprised by the close proximity of the cottage to the busy road (PA-31) and the sound of cars/trucks isnoticeable. However, I was able to tune it out and there is a sense of being transported when you’re in the backyard amidst the trees and the stream, and the woods. We enjoyed our stay!

The bungalow was terrific! Full of history and more space than anyone would need. Kitchen fully outfitted heating sources were perfect and the backyard fire pit was outstanding. The backyard Creek and Bridge made for a perfect setting. Road noise was a bit loud went out in the backyard, but you couldn’t really hear it from inside. Close to parks, wineries and distilleries.

Stayed two nights in this lovely vintage lodge. Loved the fire pit with the stream and woods. Hiked to Kooser State Park on a trail behind the lodge. Laurel Hill State Park is nearby and went on 2 beautiful hikes. Please know the front of the house is on a busy road but the back yard makes up for it. The owner was very responsive and friendly. roamakes up for it. only

House is cozy and conveniently located to see many sites. Hiking, waterfalls, Fort Ligoner and the Flight 93 Memorial are all within an hour of the house. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. There is a bit of road noise at night but there is a white noise machine in the bedroom that helps. I would stay here again.
