Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life there is a cabin, bordered on two sides by rushing creeks, and situated in the middle of a working, family-owned, organic fruit and vegetable farm. Disconnected from the internet, it's the perfect place for adults to enjoy a digital detox and the perfect opportunity to commune with nature and each other. The house is furnished with antiques, most of which are available for purchase. From the covered wrap-around porch you can enjoy your coffee while watching the farm come to life each morning, relax while the afternoon sun glistens on the pond, or take in a night cap while listening to the sounds of cicadas, crickets and the creek. Stroll the farm, shop in the farm store for fresh veggies, local gourmet foods, and food related antiques. When you're ready to venture out you'll find miles and miles of hiking, streams teaming with trout, beautiful Lake Santeetlah, several up-scale dining options with great views, and all kinds of local artisans making everything from cheese, honey and eggs to pottery, carving and weaving. Nearby, you can explore the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, ride the Tail of the Dragon, visit the Biltmore, explore the local food scene, or try a few of the local breweries in Asheville, learn more about Cherokee history at the Oconoluftee Indian Village, peruse the outlet shops in Pigeon Forge, and much, much more! Western North Carolina is a beautiful and diverse region with something for everyone! So book your cabin, take a deep breath, and prepare to fill your senses with all our mountains have to offer. Each season brings its own bounty and there is always something to do. (Please note that we do not allow children or pets.)

I hate to be the one to show less than 5 stars but I have to be honest. The biggest issue was with comfort: this is a fine cabin in the winter but it was still pretty warm in early Sept and there are only 2 A/C units in the cabin, and they're in each of the larger bedrooms. For just 2 couples it might be fine but we had 3. We wanted our friends to enjoy these rooms so we took the smaller bedroom, but there's only a fan. When our friends closed their bedrooms doors it cut off any A/C supply to the rest of the cabin. It got very warm outside of these 2 rooms and we could not sleep very well. The following nights we asked our friends to leave their doors open and we had to stack fans in their doorways to distribute the A/C. I rated the communications terrible because there's no celllphone signal and no internet, but that's my fault for failing to fully read the ad that states it's a Detox cabin that's isolated from communication with the outside world. The rest of the cabin was lovely, with a cozy living area, a nice movie selection for the DVD player, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, a dining room that accommodated all of us for game playing/meals, and a wrap around porch stocked with rocking chairs and a patio table/chairs. I was surprised at how many towels we had and their thickness, and the laundry room was nice for laundering clothes. It's in a lovely, quiet valley that's convenient to Robbinsville and Fontana.

Such an amazing experience. The cabin was cozy and perfect for our family. Perfect distance to many cities to visit and trails to hike. I recommend this property for anyone wanting to escape day-to-day “noise”.

I couldn’t have picked a better place to disconnect from daily pressures and re-ground myself. This cabin was perfect! The wrap around porch was the perfect place to enjoy the mountain views, singing birds and the constant burbling of the stream. There was even a family of groundhogs to watch scamper around. It was just so relaxing! I wish I could have had more time here. The cabin itself was spotless and smelled so fresh and clean.

We immediately commented on how nice it smelled when we walked in the door of the cabin and loved the streams on both sides of it. We have stayed in multiple places through this app, but i think we liked thsi 1 the best. It felt like home and we liked the privacy and solitude. There is no cell reception, so we bought a few games at the local DG. I haven't played chess since i was in middle school and re-learned how to play while we were there. My wife and I have even played a few more times since we got back home. Robbinsville/Tapoco is our favorite place in the mtns of NC, and are already talking about the next time we can get back up there to stay in this cabin again. Thank you to the owners for maintaining a clean and kept cabin.

This has become an annual get together for two of my old high school friends and myself. We live in three different parts of the country and get together here at this cabin and it could not be more perfect. Secluded, peaceful, beautiful mountains, babbling brooks and the cabin is spacious, comfortable and has everything we could want for our stay. The owners are accommodating and even have a store with home grown vegetables and antique type items for sale. Mornings we would sit on the deck, have coffee and watch the mountain fog roll into the valley and back out. Evenings sit around the fire pit and relax. If you can't decide where to stay between the many choices, you will not go wrong with this one.
