*** PLEASE READ THE HOUSE RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING ***
*** RENTAL AGREEMENT/SECURITY DEPOSIT ***
Please note that all guests will receive an email required to sign our rental agreement that lists the house rules. We need you to sign it and share your credit card info through our secure reservation system for a $300 deposit. It's important that you review and sign this agreement within 48 hours of receipt to maintain your booking. If this step is overlooked, your reservation may be subject to automatic cancellation as per our house rules. We would not want that to happen, so we emphasize this to ensure all goes smoothly with your reservation.
The reason for the agreement is simple - it is in place to provide transparency and protection for both our valued guests and us, the hosts. The security deposit is simply a temporary hold on your card, not an actual charge, although it will count towards your credit limit. This means your money stays in your account. We put this hold on your card one week before you arrive. If there's no damage when you leave, we'll remove the hold one week after you go.
No complaints about this stay, only that we were told it would be decorated for christmas and wasn’t also could use more lighting outside around the house but not a big deal at all. Great vacation overall.
This was our first time renting a cabin to stay in for our family trip to Gatlinburg this year. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I'm SO glad I took the leap and booked this beautiful cabin for my little family of three. If you want a perfect view of the mountains every morning, this place is for you! The bonuses include speedy internet, a fully utensiled kitchen, and a hot tub that overlooks the Smokeys. The check-in was easy, the cabin was clean and cozy, and the hosts were lovely and really care about making sure you're comfortable. My son was so disapppinted when we had to leave, but we're already looking forward to booking another stay next year! A little tip though: it can be hard to navigate, but my husband found if you use the app called Waze and type in the direct address, it takes you to exactly where you need to go.
The view was lovely but the cabin is in need of updates and a deep cleaning. Cobwebs on walls, extra linens and pillows thrown in closet and looked to be dirty, dishes dirty, etc. Absolute WORST beds I have ever seen in my life. Lumpy, uneven and squeaky. No one should have to sleep (or try to sleep) on something so broken down.
The setup of the cabin (2 king bedrooms) was ideal for our party and the main draw to this particular property. The view from the back deck was pretty and we saw an awesome sunrise! However, we experienced a number of problems that make it impossible to recommend. * The email with our check in instructions said Google maps will get you there. Apple maps may not give you an accurate location. But the opposite turned out to be true. After a harrowing drive up the mountain on roads that looked like spaghetti and at times were so steep we couldn't even see the road ahead of us Google maps declared we had arrived although we were not on the right road. We had to navigate back down and finally found our way by consulting every map app available between the 4 of us. The road the cabin is on was not nearly so nerve-wracking. Considering the spotty cell service and inaccuracy of maps available the owner ABSOLUTELY MUST provide written directions! It is irresponsible not to do so. * The overall level of cleanliness was unacceptable. * The first thing we discovered upon entering the cabin was a dish of COOKED BACON in a kitchen cabinet! We were thankful that at least it wasn't covered in bugs. Disgusting. * The dishes and silverware all needed to be washed before using - we were thankful for the paper plates provided. * There was 1 baking pan and 1 frying pan - neither of which was usable. They were rusted and caked with who knows what. (I have pictures) Again, disgusting. There was no saucepan at all. * The were NO teaspoons. * Several outlets and switches did not work. * The toilet seats were loose. * Baseboards, light fixtures, mantel and other areas were thick with dust. The light in the bathroom had other people's hair stuck to all the dust. * By far the worst thing was the horrible beds. They were lumpy, uneven and creaked tremendously whenever you moved. My husband and I, and our friends as well, woke each other up all night long just by turning over. They needed to be replaced YEARS ago! I do have to say the couch was very comfortable for watching TV and the hot water was plentiful.
Nice place. The drive up is UP...lol. Views are as advertised, communication was good. Plenty of space to sprawl out and relax. Even though there are multiple cabins in the area you can't see anything but a few distant lights from the deck. Did have to wait for a group of turkeys to move from the bottom of the drive one day...they weren't in a hurry but neither was I. Location is close enough for a quick drive to the store for essentials without having to deal with any traffic downtown.
The cabin has a great layout for two couples, two identical suites. That was perfect for me and my brother and our wives. Its an older cabin but feels more like staying in someones house. Very close to Gatlinburg, grocery store, gas, etc. Had a great time. Has a really strong AC. Froze us out until we raised it up a bit. Being from Florida, we prefer a little warmer. Enjoyed the old time house radio. Haven't seen one of those since the seventies. Disappointed in the view. Trees and weeds blocked most of the view off the back deck. Could see the tops of the mountains only, none of the valley. Didn't use the grill. We enjoyed checking out all the good restaurants. Wish the towels would have been better and more of them. And the beds need replaced in my opinion. Both were humped in the middle. Rolled out of bed more than once. Hot tub wasn't working quite right. Jets didn't function properly and the tub sat at a tilted angle of more than an inch. Was tight for the four of us to get into. Wish it had been larger and worked better. Showers weren't the best but they worked well enough. Too warm to try the gas logs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a very good time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Everything at the cabin was perfect. Especially the hot tub and the view.
We loved the layout of the cabin. Perfect for two couples like us. Both bedrooms suites were exactly the same! Beautiful view of the mountains in the distance. We spent all our time on the deck! We stay in a lot of VRBOs so the few minor issues we discovered we let owner know and he responded immediately! If they don’t know, they can’t be fixed. Perfect location! Secluded but yet close enough to the fun stuff!
We had a wonderful time, its just a 10min drive to downtown gatlinburg, cabin was top notch, easy to book, tons of fun and relaxation, we ll plan another trip in same cabin in the future!! Thank u!
Will definitely recommend to our friends !!!
