Starboard Point is a singualrly exquisite,ACCESSED BY BOAT ONLY vacation retreat

This is our third visit to Starboard Point. We return because it has become our family tradition and it is idilic. Our children (19 & 17) love having a boat to go on adventures or going to town to get ice cream. Our son loves having his own cabin (where the bathroom is located) and we stay with our daughter in the main house (where the kitchen and living room are located). There is so much to do, exploring the lakes through the locks, fishing, enjoying time together at the fire pits, etc. However Norman, our six year old Lab is the happiest of all our Clan. In and out of the lake, fetching for hours on end a tennis ball, and waking up with mom (me) to watch the sunrise each morning. When he realizes we are going to Shelly's Starboard Point his excitement is literally uncontrollable -- he is so happy! It is glamping but looking at the remarkable nighttime galaxy, sitting by the fires, and having quality time with the family is heaven on earth is absolutely worth it! Starboard Point is a traditional Adorondack camp and I can't wait to get back.

Perfect location for birding and paddling the Saranac River. Ideal for boat or paddle oriented guests. We enjoyed birding, fishing and watching the boats drive back and forth to the locks. Beautiful location.

The cabin is cozy, relaxing & beautiful. The views from the inside and around the cabin of the Adirondack mountains are gorgeous. I loved taking out the kayaks on the water and watching the sun set. I can't say enough good things about Shelly. She was incredibly accommodating and a joy to talk to. She is very knowledgeable about the area and has good recommendations of things to do. I highly recommend staying here and I know that I'll be coming back.

What an amazing place! Plenty to do for the kids and adults.. fishing, kayaking and sitting around the fire pit every night. Rented a boat from one of the Marinas so we could explore Oseetah, head up to Lake Flower and visit the Town of Saranac. This is the place to hit the reset button. We did not want to leave!

Starboard point exceeded our expectations without a doubt. It was so cool to have everything we could need on hand especially since it's boat in only. The back cabin with the bedroom and bathroom was simply beautiful! I particularly loved having a boathouse to keep the boat and contents dry and batteries charged. The washer / dryer saved us from overpacking clothes as well. The grounds of the cabin are well cared for, the flowers beautiful & seeing all the boats cruise by to and from the lower lock was fun. We meet the owner Shelly and could not have asked for a better host. Lastly we had five lakes to explore. Since we are avid anglers that was awesome. Small & Largemouth bass. Pike, Perch and panfish all came to the boat. The fishing was great. I would recommend Starboard Point for explorers, lovers of nature and certainly those who love to fish. The Adirondacks never fail to amaze us. Thanks Shelly.

What a beautiful property! The sleeping cabin was renovated with pine and it was very cozy. The property had two fire pits available with beautiful views. The dogs loved chasing each other and barking at the boats. We had a minor issue that Kevin was able to help us with right away. Thank you! Overall, it was a spectacular place to spend a vacation to get away from everything.
