Easy access; NO steep or curvy roads.

Modern Farmhouse on a century old farm surrounded by lush mountain ridges and green rolling hills. Beautiful walks along the River, up the creek under a forest canopy, or hike up the Mountain for more breathtaking views. Grass covered River bank for Swimming, Fishing, Tubing, Kayaking, Skipping Rocks, Crawdad Hunting, Catching Fireflies, and Roasting Marshmallows on the Campfire.

A few steps from the River: The Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon River, also known as the Greenbrier, is a free flowing stream rated the cleanest stream in Tennessee.. At the perfect elevation to offer a wide variety of fish (cold enough for Trout, warm enough for Smallmouth Bass & others), it is deep enough (year round!) to swim, tube, canoe, and kayak, yet mild enough to offer fun for all ages. Fish from the bank, wade, float tube, or kayak. Spin fishing, Bait fishing, Fly fishing or Cane pole fishing, it's all good at Spence Cove!

Take a stroll up the river road with your tube and float back down to the house. Lie on the grassy river bank in the warm sun or under the shade tree while the kids catch crawdads and play in the river. Watch the Kingfishers snatch a meal from the water's surface. Gaze in awe at the majestic Great Blue Herons and Bald Eagles as they glide over the river. Watch the Sunset on the River from the swing or a rocking chair on the spacious wrap around porch.

See the moon glisten on the river as it rises over the mountain. Star gaze at a night sky, unhindered by the lights of the city. Enjoy the light show of fireflies. Drift off to sleep to a Smoky Mountain Symphony: the roar of the River and the calls of cicadas, crickets, whippoorwills, and katydids. Awake refreshed by the River breeze, Mountain air, and the joyous birds chirping Good Morning. It may be the best rest of your life! And, it Will be your Best Vacation Ever.

Our trip to the Spence house was a nightmare, however, Diane made our stay so enjoyable!! We saw a bear, deers, woodchucks and wild turkeys! My daughter loved sitting on the porch swing listening to the river and watching for lightning bugs, as well as the hot tub to soak in and relax. Diane directions for backroads made traveling to our events/attractions so simple!

Oh how we loved this farmhouse in the mountains!!! Beautiful home and property. The house was so clean with plenty of room for the six of us to spread out. We spent a lot of time on the river in front of the house. Swimming, fishing, and kayaking. In fact, we canceled some plans just to spend more time here on the river. It was just so relaxing. The host is absolutely wonderful! She was so friendly and helpful. We appreciate all she did to make us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Peaceful, tranquil, and relaxing describes our experience at Spence Cove. Sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch while listening to the sounds of the river flowing by provided a great experience. Diana is a wonderful and gracious host. The house is just as described, and it was clean with a well-supplied kitchen. We felt like we were far out in the countryside, but it was only a short drive to the Pigeon Forge attractions, restaurants, and shopping. We highly recommend Spence Cove and we look forward to returning.

It was amazing having the river in front of the house the kids loved it. The owner was friendly and very helpful. We had everything we needed in the home. We would definitely stay there again.

What an amazing stay! From the truly scenic Drive-In to the beautifully decorated farmhouse! You have 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms a wrap around front porch that looks right at Little Pigeon River and the beautiful open space. My children ranging from 9- mid teens had so much fun playing in the River, fishing, skipping rocks, and more. We had family dinners and still were close enough to hit up several attractions within an hour from the house. We can not say enough amazing things about this stay.

Our stay was Dec. 25th to 30th. We had 6 adults in our group. We all fit comfortably throughout the house. Pros: Diana is very responsive. Our stay was quiet and we loved sitting on the front porch listening to the river. A lot of things (e.g. kitchen items) were provided. I loved that we were away from the busy area but still close driving distance to everything. You can hear Dollywood’s train and very slightly see their fireworks (8:45pm) at night. Cons: the pictures/description are not up to date. Across the river is now a RV/ Camper park (no longer woods). Fortunately, they had very few people over there so it was still quiet and not bothersome. The check-in is in person which makes coordinating the time of arrival a little more difficult but it went quick.

Diana answered all of my questions before the trip very promptly. We stayed at Christmas, so we didn’t really get full use of the river and all of the fun that would come with it. The house was perfect for us and all of the little extras that I always take for a trip were already at the house, so we really had everything we needed. The house is cozy and obviously very well maintained. I really can’t say enough about how beautiful the views are. We hope to go back in the Summer to enjoy the water sports. I would definitely recommend this property and how easily Diana was to communicate with and super nice!

The house was amazing, comfortable and perfectly located just a stone throws away from the river. Everything was cozy and comfortable and we had all the utensils and dishes we could possibly need for our party of six. Communication with Diana was exceptional before and during our stay. We will definitely be back. We loved everything about our stay.
