Come and enjoy all seasons of fun and relaxation on the bay of beautiful Lake Nokomis. Family friendly lakefront cabin includes all of the amenities needed for a memorable vacation experience!
You will not find a nicer, sandy beach in the area. Great for swimming, fishing from the dock, boating, floating, and sunbathing! When you're done playing at the lake, enjoy the large patio with plenty of seating the cabin features. Play a game of bean bags, cook out on the charcoal grill and roast some marshmallows and enjoy laughs around the large fire pit.
Take a walk to the Windmill Ice Cream shop or hit the snowmobile/UTV trails across the street. Plenty of privacy with a large yard while also close to the area attractions.
Walking distance to ice cream shop, sports bars and nature trails. Also a 20 minute drive to Minocqua or Rhinelander. Ideal spot for snowmobilers or ice fishermen.
We had such a relaxing time floating in the water and enjoying the beautiful outdoor space!
We were blessed with hot weather during our stay and the swimmable beach (not all of them are) and AC were perfect! The cabin is located in a quaint association with modern amenities of WiFi, dishwasher, keyless entry, AC, etc. They have a dock for your boat too. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed (including an iron and steamer that came in handy when getting ready for family pics), and plastic dishware for the littles. Close to town for groceries and walkable to fun restaurants (Billy Bob’s and Tilted Loon) and the best ice cream (The Windmill). Close driving distance to the Thirsty Whale and and new-ish coffee shop, Lakeside Bistro). We drove to Minocqua for the Zoo and got to see some of the Min-Aquabats practicing. Jill was easy to reach via text, although not needed because instructions are self-explanatory. Will come again!
We loved our stay at this cabin! Just as described and Jill is a great hostess. The beach was wonderful, loved being a short walk to Windmill Ice Cream shop, cabin was stocked with everything we needed ( did bring our own towels), very clean , plenty of places to sleep, and great views of beautiful Lake Nokomis. Can’t wait to come back, thx again Jill!
We had such a fun time with our young children! It was exactly as advertised, a perfect cabin experience. The beach was clean, shallow, and sandy. The cabin had everything we needed inside as well as toys and games outside. Jill is a great host!
We had a great time at this cabin. We had 2 adults and 5 children (one a toddler). Fit us all great, such a perfect location right near the lake- complete with friendly ducks! Also right near a trail that led us over the lake to an ice cream shop. Our host was wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommend!
We used this cabin for a family gathering and it was great! The beach is great and just a short walk down the hill. The fire pit was great for the cool nights and the cabin had everything we needed. The spiral staircase was a little steep for the kiddos but it was easy enough to block off with chairs. The big table was great for family meals and games and the location was excellent. Perfect spot to call home for a fun week in the north woods!
I decided on taking the family up somewhere we've never stayed before. This cabin was perfect!! Had private beach with access to dock. Cabin was very clean and maintained. Beach and water was amazing. Meet some great people at the other cabins. Jill was amazing host and answered all questions in a timely matter. Diffently recommended this cabin! Tks again Jill for your hospitality!!
The house was very clean and close to restaurants and ice cream. We didn't realize until we received the contract the grounds/waterfront are shared among a few cottages. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked...almost too well as we didn't have much space to put our non-refrigerated foods other than the counter tops. The lake is great and the beach was fantastic.
The house was perfect for a weekend getaway to the northwoods. The beach was perfect for our young kids (all under 3). The cabin was very clean and Jill was extremely responsive and flexible during our entire stay. We will definiatley be back soon.
This is a great cabin, just not for our family and not for the weather we had. We brought our children, ages 5, 7, and 9 and when they could, they had a great time swimming and playing on the beautiful sand beach. Unfortunately, we ended up staying out of the water more than we would have liked due to the weather, so several little annoyances about the property compounded into a slightly-less than fabulous time. There was also a lack of details in the listing that normally wouldn’t have mattered for most people, but really complicated things for a young family trying to plan for uncertain weather. I messaged the host about a few items before the trip, but other reviews were so glowing about how it had everything that I didn’t worry about anything than our deal breaker items. The cabin had some life jackets, but not enough/right sizes for all the kids, we had to fix water toys with duct tape, use our own air pump, etc. The paddle boat was good for kids, but couldn’t hold two adults without taking on water. The grill is top-notch, but we couldn’t eat lunch on the patio because its too hot in the sun. It’s been remodeled recently and the décor and finishes are very nice. The older kids enjoyed the signage once we explained the jokes. The air conditioner smelled a little musty and the tv/dvd/vcr combo is precariously perched on top of a tall dresser; the open spiral staircase is very tight. By the end of the 3rd night, the kid sleeping in the loft had moved downstairs because she kept waking up with huge, itchy welts and others got them on the last night; might have been spiders. The bedding was clean, but there were no allergy/waterproof covers on the pillows or mattresses. It’s one step up to the living area from the kitchen/bathroom and two steps up to the bedrooms - everyone kept stubbing their toes. The kitchen really does have everything you need. We didn’t use the plastic dishes because they had an odor; we ended up using bottled water for drinking. We really appreciated the napkin dispenser and large table and the appliances all work. The cable was out, which was fine with us, but couldn’t get the DVD remote working – had to let it play itself. I guess we were expecting it to be more of a polished rental property than a family cabin. It was a pretty good time, but all the little things kept adding up and after four nights, we were more than ready to move on to the hotel we had booked for the second part of our vacation.
