Our stay in the SoulShine cabin was just what we needed to rest, recharge, and enjoy family (we live 600 miles apart and travel to meet each summer)! The peaceful and beautiful porches were used to enjoy family chats over coffee without distractions. Kids could play yard games and run around. In the evenings we enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit. The hot tub was the perfect temperature to relax in. The inside had all the accommodations we needed, including beds for each person to have their own (9 people stay). The kitchen had room for us to make breakfast and dinner each day and enough place settings to dine together, and play board/card games. We encountered one issue while there, and the response was immediate. We had gone hiking for the day and when we came back there was a gas smell in the cabin (fireplace). Somehow the gas logs were turned on. We opened the windows and doors to ventilate and maintenence came out within the hour to turn off the gas and check the home. It was all good! The cabin and accommodations were great! The outdoor activities in the area were a fun bonus! We thoroughly enjoyed our time together! Thank you!

We really enjoyed every bit of this place. We started our vacation by our alternator going out in our car and the owner was very kind to let us loan his battery charger so we could get to the service station. He truly saved us! The house was great and very clean. It was also so cute to see so many soulshine things in the place. Overall, a fabulous little getaway!A couple things to note: -I was kind of surprised by the tip request envelope from the service ladies, as that is a charge we already pay in the rental. -Check the metal on the banner out back, it has a rough edge that needs to be sanded down. -My son saw a cockroach, so you may want to spray. I know with wood cabins, that may be an issue.Thank you for everything!

We stayed her for our friends bachelorette. It’s so cute inside and outside, we were very happy with it! When we had any issues (wifi) we got ahold of the host very quickly and got it settled. We would stay again!

The cabin was beautiful and located in a remote and serene setting. It comfortably slept our family of five. The hot tub and fire pit were definitely highlights after long days of hiking. There is not much to the town of Beattyville so be prepared to drive 20 to 30 minutes to some great local eateries and hiking spots. The Bear Track convenience shop located at the end of the road had everything we needed in a pinch. When we arrived, we could not get in. We also discovered that the grill and downstairs lights did not work, but a maintenance man came out the next day to remedy those items. The downside of this home is that the kitchen is minimally stocked. We were only provided with three dishwasher tabs for five days and did not have enough dishware or utensils or glasses. Bring all ingredients needed to make a meal as there are no supplies in the cabinets. Paper plates, cups, napkins, tissues, toilet paper, and paper towels are suggested! The house was definitely lacking in welcoming amenities.

This was a beautiful cabin & was perfect for our group of 7. The furniture & beds were very comfortable! We loved the fire ring & hottub. Our only complaints, which were just really minor bumps were that upon arrival 2 hours (6pm) after checkin 2 maintenance men were inside the home, they left a few minutes after we arrived and then when we tried to enter the home we couldn't with our code. We tried the side door and it was completely unlocked and open and wouldn't lock at all. StayOver did answer my call & get me a new code for the front door eventually. The side door locking mechanisms mysteriously started working again on Saturday while we were gone from the premises which was slightly nerving, were not sure if someone was there and fixed it while we were gone of what. The home had a few cleanliness issues like dead ladybugs in the kitchen & on the floors & exploded dried oatmeal in the microwave. We also had issues with live wasps inside the home. Other than that it was very clean and welcoming.Amogst those very small issues we would return to this cabin & we give it a 4/5 rating overall.

Second year at the same cabin. Was just perfect - everything worked - was clean and beautiful. A relative of the owner lives nearby and he checked on us again to see if we were happy.

Our family loved this cabin. We wanted a quiet getaway to spend quality time together and this cabin did just that. The kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. The cabin is within minutes to the gorge and Natural Bridge. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope to return.

We had an amazing time. It was secluded enough but still close enough to other things. It was clean and comfy. There was one chair that was previously broken, but the manager quickly responded when I sent an image of it when checking in. They were very nice and understood so we wouldn’t be chartered. The manager was quick to respond as well!

Beautiful rustic log cabin but filled with modern amenities. Mid 90s and humid every day but the cabin AC was up to the challenge. No big tv in the main room so kids and parents were forced to talk to each other and play games. The kids loved the hot tub (even in 90 degree weather). There was a small issue with the basement shower drain. Called Stay-Over and they had it fixed before we returned from hiking in the afternoon. Turkeys wandered in view of the porch on a regular basis. Remote, quiet, and beautiful.
