Peaceful and quiet! Nice cabin!

I liked the cabin as it was cozy, had ample cooking utensils and was quiet. I also liked the outdoor fireplace.The gravel road was intimidating to say the least. They should recommend a 4x4 or all wheel drive car with a higher ground clearance. Also maybe get a gas grill instead of the charcoal grill as it is probably safer and you would not have to worry about burning embers escaping. The neighbors rooster was not really an issue as we could barely hear it. Otherwise we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed it!

The cabin was great, not the first one of these with this issue though. The bed, pillows and bedding were old, and very uncomfortable.

Thai cabin was so relaxing and quiet. Nothing beats waking up in the morning to a sunrise over the mountains or an evening after hiking sitting in a top watching the light fade from the mountain tops. Wonderful stay!

This is an excellent pet friendly property with absolutely amazing views and a hot tub that can be enjoyed no matter how cold it gets. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting a PRIVATE mountainside getaway within earshot of Gatlinburg and the Smokies. I'm an engineer so to give anything a perfect review is tough. The few notes I have on this place, which would in no way prevent me from rebooking it, are not having explicit instructions for the property i.e. fireplace use, hot tub use, TV use etc. The TV use may sound a silly one, but there was like 5 remotes...I drive a car with 230k miles and was able to get up the road just fine. There's about a 1/8 acre of yard for the dogs. There's only one house further up the road above this one and I suspect it's mostly vacant (we didn't see anyone the whole week), so it's very private. Buzzards Roost was an amazing hike a short drive from here. The local markets are nothing special but the local taco truck is amazing and the local book store, Our Place, is a must stop early in your trip. All-in-all, very happy with our stay. Wish we had a few more days to just enjoy the house/location instead of being always on the go.

The cabin was great and the kitchen well appointed. Everything was very clean and in working condition. The only negative is the road leading up to the cabin. It’s gravel and very steep. Our front wheel drive vehicle couldn’t make it up when it was fully loaded with humans and our stuff. We literally drove in reverse.

The cabin was very clean...it was everything that had been advertised and more...we were very pleased with our stay and David was amazing!! We have already booked for next year.

The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had. The cabin was well maintained, gorgeous views and exactly what we had hoped for. The drive up can be challenging if you don’t have a good car but our suv had no issues. I highly recommend this place. Great combo of peaceful nice retreat and affordability. I will be staying again

Enjoyed our stay. Loved the secluded location and beautiful views. Great spot for hiking in Smokey Mountain National Park and shopping around Gatlinburg. Hot tub was very nice after day of hiking. Cabin was very clean and kitchen was well supplied. Drive into cabin was no problem.

My husband and I were disappointed once we arrived to our cabin. The pictures online did not represent the current condition of the cabin.The bed was uncomfortable and it hurt my husband’s back so much that we came home a day early. The shower curtain liners need to be replaced as they had rips in them. There were numerous cobwebs throughout the inside of the cabin. The outside and inside of the cabin definitely needs some TLC. The cabin was stocked with various cooking items.My husband and I enjoyed our time in Tennessee but not our time at the cabin.

Beautiful setting, we have stayed here 5 years ago. We’ve seen expected wear and tear over that time span. Could really use a new mattress! Kitchen is well appointed. Very clean.

Very clean inside and outside . Worth the money. My wife and myself set on deck for hours looking at the Smokies. We allso enjoyed the way the full moon shined across the mountains. Very humbling.

Great central place to stay for us for hiking with our dog in the Cherokee Mountains, ziplining, white water rafting, and going to Gatlinburg for a day. Stay was excellent and views from decks were outstanding.

As a few other reviews have mentioned, the drive up to the cabin can be a bit challenging due to the steep, dug-out gravel road. My SUV spun out on the first attempt, and it can feel a little nerve-wracking knowing only one car can go up or down at a time. The surrounding area wasn’t the nicest, but that’s not something I hold against the property itself.Inside, we noticed a steep staircase leading down to the laundry room, which we chose not to use. Thankfully, there was a baby gate at the top for safety.That said, waking up to the mountain views was absolutely amazing! While the bedding wasn’t the softest, the cabin was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the checkout instructions made things incredibly easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

We loved this cabin and its location. It was exactly what we were looking for but the last mile of road wasn’t paved. We were able to make it up but it would have been good to know in advance.

Beautiful property, it was in a very quiet area which we loved. No neighbors or ability to see anything besides the Mountain View right from the bedroom window. Easy access to the Smokey mountain trails and neighbor towns. Definitely would stay again.

The cabin felt very clean and has gorgeous sunrise views of the mountains. We had some safety concerns, as there is an entrance to the cabin located in the basement, that we did not have access to. We didnt sleep well knowing that someone could gain access to the property and we couldn’t do anything about it. Additionally, the area around the cabin isn’t the best either. We had several encounters from locals (who made it clear as day they don’t like tourists) that made us feel uneasy, especially with young children in tow. With that being said, the property is in great condition and the hosts were great!

No complaints here! Beautiful cabin almost at the very top of a mountain. There’s only one house above you! Very secluded, all we heard was the birds and one bear rustling around in the woods that we did see one time. Really enjoyed all of the balconies to enjoy the views from! (There are 3 out back and 1 up front). Well needed trip and the perfect place to do it!

My family enjoyed this cabin for a weeks getaway this past week. Everything we needed for a nights dinner grilling and setting was available for use. The hot tub was clean and plenty big for my husband, 13 year old, and myself. Only issue we had was a possible hornets nest being built in the gutters. They were common and loud when out on the porch.

The cabin is remote and the route to get there isn’t the simplest drive, but that’s a big part of the charm! This is a beautiful, peaceful, quiet cabin in the woods. Once you’re there you’ll feel like you have the mountain to yourself. The place was very clean and we had a great stay.

The cabin was exactly as described and expected. Super clean. Well stocked kitchen. Very cozy. It felt like an adult tree house with magnificent, yet peaceful views. We really enjoyed watching all the humming birds and cardinals. The seclusion was exactly what we were looking for; just close enough to pop into town if we needed something.

The property was perfect! Secluded, comfortable, and with a great view. Loved that it was pet friendly as that was a requirement for us. Washer and dryer provided but bring your own detergent!

The cabin was just as pictured. I chose it for the bedroom with all the large windows. There are a lot of trees but you can see the mountains for miles and the sunrises each morning. Everything was clean and nice. Our only complains were the bed is in desperate need of being replaced. It is severely indented in the middle and pillows are flat. I normally bring my own pillows. The road near the cabin is tricky. We were in an suv but all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive would definitely help. It took us 4 tries to start up one section before the cabin and work trucks working on a cabin just up the driveway didnt help the roads at all. Very little parking, ok for 1 vehicle. Directions were spot on, check in instructions were great with tips for your stat which was really nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Property was super private and the view wasamazing!

Completely as described. They were definitely correct about the drive up, if you haven’t been there before get there during daylight hours and have an AWD vehicle. The cabin was spacious, clean, and the view from the bedroom window of the sunrise; you can’t beat that (you don’t even have to leave your bed to see it lol). The hot tub was definitely an added bonus after hiking. Secluded and peaceful! Will definitely be visiting again

Super accurate to description, great view, very clean, road to get there is a little sketchy but was fine with 4WD in rainy weather and 2WD in normal weather, really enjoyed our stay, dollar general and gas station nearby, no ladybugs, overall thoroughly enjoyed.

We really enjoyed our stay at songbird of the mountain. The cabin was clean, just the right size for our family of 4, and in a very quiet location. It was great to be able to get away from the crazyness of Gatlinburg and have a quite, peaceful place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed in terms of linens and kitchen supplies. The view from the cabin was also a terrific overlook of the smokies. Two areas of concern we had. Both my wife and i picked up splinters from the wood floor in the cabin even with socks on, so that may need a little work. Also the drive up the moutain was a bit rough. Its very steep and the gravel road over part of it is both pretty loose gravel and very bumpy. We needed 4 wheel drive to climb that part of the road and had to go very slow so with all the bumps and ruts. We basically went down in the morning to head out for activities and then came back up in the evening so we only had to drive the slope once a day.

Pretty views, love the hot tub and location. Easy check in and check out. The outside fire place is no longer there which we were bummed about. But otherwise we had a great time.

From the pictures I was expecting an outdoor fireplace, but once we got there, I read and saw it was no longer there.. That was just an us thing wanting that part, but again it was in the description, I just didn’t read it all. Cute place, however, I’m not sure we would’ve made it up there without my husbands truck. Quiet getaway!

Found small beetle like bugs throughout the cabin, most dead, some alive. Other than dealing with them during our stay the cabin and location was good. The property Mgr. said they would deal with them after our departure.

Could not be happier with this property! The description was spot on. Up in the mountains but not TOO far up in the mountains. You dont need 4x4 to get there but it is quite the fun ride up. There are 3 different porches or balconies that provide a great view but for us it was the view from the master bed that was so amazing!Everything was clean and in great shape. We both had great cell service in the home for what that is worth. Definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful views! Back off in the country very quiet and peaceful only thing I would say is there was a lot of dead lady bugs upstairs not a big deal to me might be to others. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Cabin was situated at the top of a hill with a beautiful view looking over the mountains as shown in the pictures. This was by far the best part of the cabin as we got to view some beautiful fall colors. Looked like some trees were recently cut down so the view is no longer impeded like some previous comments mention. Overall the cabin is as advertised and fairly comfortable inside. It’s quiet and secluded which is nice. The driveway is steep as stated but we had no issues making it up in our car. The first gravel uphill road however is awful. It’s right after the bridge and it’s steep and very bumpy so it makes for a nerve-racking drive up. It’s the road and not part of the driveway so probably not much the hosts can do, but it should definitely be paved. Other than the gorgeous views the cabin is pretty average. It is a little dated but overall well kept. The hot tub was nice but only half the jets actually worked well. Biggest issue were the bugs. Couldn’t really enjoy sitting on the balcony due to all of the bugs (bitting and non-bitting bugs). There were also ladybugs everywhere! Inside and outside. We understand that it’s hard to control pests outside but the amount of ladybugs inside the cabin is ridiculous. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved the views. Wouldn’t stay here again because of the minor issues mentioned above and it’s not worth the price charged. We’ve stayed in much nicer cabins for less then the price of this place.

We were lucky enough to have stayed during peak autumn foliage. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful view!

Had a great time! Cabin has a perfect view of the mountains and plenty of privacy. The road to access the cabin was very steep with many deep holes and ruts but we managed. Recommend a four-wheel drive. WiFi was slow at times when trying to stream but otherwise amazing property.

We chose this place due to some of the amenities. It had a jacuzzi bathtub inside and a hot tub outside. They were both perfect with our 4 year old daughter. She loved them! We have been gone 2 days and she keeps asking when we can go back to the cabin The view was incredible. There was not alot of noise in the neighborhood. Everything was clean and comfortable. Very thankful for this great escape! We would definitely choose this location again.

Loved the cabin. It is very cozy and secluded. One thing is the drive up to the cabin. The drive up is fun and a little challenging.

The place was great! Beautiful views, secluded, and very quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee in the cool mountain air, and evenings in the hot tub underneath the stars. Other reviews have mentioned trees starting to block the view, but thankfully they have since cut those trees down and opened the spectacular view back up. Other reviews also mentioned the road, I thought they were being dramatic cityslickers, but I'll admit, the first time going up was a little intense, especially with my pregnant wife next to me. But this is very common for mountainside driveways, and after the first time, I got used to it. Lastly, the location is a little out of the way if you plan on seeing all the sights in GSMNP, like Cades cove, clingmans dome, etc. even though there is an entrance to the park 10 minutes away, the popular places like that are roughly an hour and a half away. But for us it was nothing after the 13 hour drive from Texas lol. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

Road was a mess! Previous drivers made large ruts in the gravel making it very hard to get up the road with 4x4 needs maintenance in a major way! More than half of our stay we only had a view from the top floor. Then the tree trimmers came and cleaned the view for the last day and a half. The house was not cleaned there were hair bands left on the living room floor. Stovetop was not cleaned.Water pressure was lacking to say it best. There is no outdoor fireplace as pictured. The pictures are many years old the cabin needs to be maintained on the outside looks very rough. The balcony slats not attached wood is failing apart. If maintained properly outside would have been an amazing stay.

We loved our weekend stay at this place! The house was clean and well kept upon arrival. The only thing we would considering changing is informing guest about the driveway. A 4-wheel drive vehicle would be preferred since it is mainly gravel and uphill. Everything else was perfect! Would definitely stay here again!

It is truly a mountain top cabin. It was filled with incredible Mountain View’s highlighting the Smokey Mountains in true form. The property was a real cabin experience with added modern qualities. Close the any major attraction but perfect for quiet solitude. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway. 😎

Great cabin in the mountains. Very secluded, which is what we wanted. The drive up was fun, just make sure your vehicle has enough ground clearance. Great views from the top balcony, just need a little tree trimming to get that view from the main floor.

I should start the review by stating we are not high maintenece people.The cabin was nice but showing its age.The ride up might be daunting to someone not used to driving up steep gravel inclines but not a issue for us.once in the cabin the first thing your greeted with is a note from the cleaning person saying how she appreciates all tips.Here comes the irony.Upstairs bathroom was full of bugs in highly visible area.Spider webs were everywhere,upstairs and downstairs.The downstairs bedroom windows which go from ceiling to floor were filthy.Not the cleaning persons fault here as this was on the outside but very unsightly and a put off.The roof had large piles of leaves which kept falling on the walkway to the hottub downstairs.Slippery when wet!As far as the description of great views,there definitely could be if a little tree trimming was done.I think there description for the cabin was from many years ago and needs little updating.The hot tub was wonderful and very clean though.The kitchen is nice.In my opinion,and it is just my opinion,if the cabin was given a deep cleaning inside and windows washed outside thoroughly and some tree trimming so you could see the hidden views of the neighboring mountain tops this could be a top notch rental.All this being said we still were ok with the rental of the cabin and in all fairness never reached out to the property manager about any of this as we just wanted to make do with what we got as we did not want to interrupt our itinerary

Overall the cabin is nice. Agree with some other reviews photos online should be updated. There is absolutely no view from the cabin due to trees. We did not travel with a pet, but it is very obvious this is a pet friendly cabin, as there was a lot of pet hair left behind and some damage to doors etc. For the price, we were satisfied. It was very quiet where it is located.

It was a great property but could have been perfect if the trees are not covering the beautiful mountain views. The yard is not big enough to play ball with my dogs, But over all we enjoy our stay in this beautiful cabin.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the song bird of the mountains cabin for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. We had our 2 dogs with us and they loved it too! The views are beautiful and the hot tub is such a nice bonus.
