Okay? So the place was gorgeous, Amen and enemies, not so much. Mainly small details like dusting the audiovisual. I'm meaning television in all rooms didn't work. And booklet was way outdated. We had a technician come who still couldn't figure it out. We left a day early. But as I said, lovely place, walkway, lights need to be repaired railing, going up to the house. If you're not careful, we'll give you splinters. And so on, thank you.Thanksgiving

As mentioned, the driveway is a steep incline and the rocks made for marbles with all wheel drive activated to get up the drive. The wife and I always do walk throughs to look everything over and the home had a musty odor as if it hadn't been opened up for fresh air in quite awhile. It was clean, but there was dust everywhere inside, an empty propane tank sitting on the outside table and a dirty water filter next to the hot tub that was dry so it had been there for awhile. We followed the instructions to turn on the hot tub to start warming while we unpacked after cleaning the house with supplies found under the sink. The home is as described so no worries there. Unfortunately and a very big deal for us was the hot tub was cold and heater was already saying 104. We rechecked in 15 minutes and there was error code. We turned off the breaker and waited 5 minutes before turning back on and watched the temp go from 77 to 105 within 1-2 minutes and the error code appeared before showing another error code. We tried texting and calling the number listed for operational issues and no one ever did return our calls and being labor day weekend we were SOL! Hot tub and fireplace are the filters we use to find a home. However, the bigger issues which is a huge fire hazard is the BBQ grill and hope everyone reads this before lighting. The ignitor does not work and when you manually light the one burner they all ignite despite the knobs are in the off position and they are bent. Beware!!!

The house we stayed in was not the one we reserved and paid for. I was told a few days prior to our trip that this house was unavailable and offered alternatives. Why am I now being asked to review it? Is Destination Big Bear pulling a bait and switch? Opening an inquiry with VRBO.

Wonderful property. Plenty of space for our family of 4, including our kids, ages 4 and 7. We were hesitant at first because there weren't any reviews on Vrbo from the last 2 years, but I found the listing through the management group, which had dozens of positive reviews during that time. The place was kept very clean, beds were very comfortable, we had plenty of space for our family. There were a couple of damaged areas, e.g. the sliding door handle to the balcony was missing and the downstairs bedroom had a cracked window. Easy fixes that I was surprised hadn't been addressed, but the home was kept up very nicely otherwise. The driveway was steep, narrow, and had a sharp turn at the top. Manageable and not difficult, but might be intimidating for some. We were there in dry weather, so might be worth considering if you're going during a heavy snow season like this past winter. I wish the driveway and property were a little flatter -- we brought our kids' bikes and there wasn't a place for them to practice their riding around the property. These are some considerations, but overall, the views of the mountains and stars, the peace, the space, the cleanliness are all reasons to stay.

Spent the weekend getting away from the city and reconnecting with the only ones that matter. Amazing property and views, we all loved how the interior was decorated. Most importantly the smiles and memories we created are priceless. Definitely will be back and making this an annual trip. Thank you destination big bear!

Had a great time staying here. Great wrap around porch. Living areas were great with lots of room. Should mention that the driveway is steep and can really only fit two cars, big trucks will have a hard time fitting.

Beautiful View. Nice open floor plan. Drawers and cupboards need cleaning and organizing. Jacuzzi needs maintenance. Make sure you bring you own wood.
